Nokia :: E71 / Firmware Update / WiFi Symbol Stays On Screen
Jan 14, 2010Just done latest E71 firmware update 400.21.013 to it and all went well except the WiFi symbol comes on after 30 seconds and will not go off. No other program can use the wifi connection. I have four E71. Tried it on the second E71 phone. Did the same. Permanently, the wifi is on. Tried a deep hard reset and then installed. Same again.

I have tried turning off and leaving off for a while holding top and front buttons at same time to 'de bug'

BB Bold 9700 :: Connection Symbol Stays No Data / No BIS?
Jun 6, 2010I have a 9700 on swisscom, and I have a problem. My phone used to connect to the 3G Network and BIS perfectly fine until about 5 weeks ago. It still connects to the 3G, but the symbol stays small (no data/no bis). If I turn the network settings to 2G only, I have no trouble connecting to the BIS and Data, and I also don't drop the signal. The wierd thing is that it used to work perfectly and now 3G just doesent properly work.I have tried everything I can think of, I bought a new sim card, reloaded preveious OS versions where It worked on, resend registration message, deleted my bis and so on. What else could I try? as this is 3G phone and I want to use 3G.

Jun 27, 2012why my screen would stay on longer than a minute when the phone isn't being used? Sometimes I've noticed this when it's attached to a music dock or via USB to my laptop, but lately it seems to stay on even when it's sitting on my desk unconnected to anything. Easy enough to shut off the screen by pushing the button on top, but I'm using up battery power I don't want to, and it seems like the phone should go to sleep sooner than it is.

Jun 10, 2012My iPhone 4S has been constantly displaying the ringer volume since this morning. I have tried turning off my phone and turning it back on, resetting my phone, syncing it to iTunes, and pretty much everything else. Everything is functioning correctly, and I'm able to navigate my phone normally, but it's an inconvenience to have to try to look at the things on my screen through the ringer volume notification.

Sep 9, 2014Why it's not possible to adjust the ringer volume at the lock screen? Even though it's possible to adjust the volume during music playback and responses from Siri, etc.Â
There are a number of times during the day that I just want to be able to quickly pick-up the phone and adjust the ringer volume. If there was a profile app available in the app store that allowed me to automatically set different volume levels at different times of the day it would be great - particularly if the app didn't require me to jailbreak the phone.Â
What is the reasoning behind it? I heard someone suggest once that it's intended to protect against the volume buttons being accidentally pressed if the phone is inside an enclosed space, i.e. handbag or pocket, but I've never personally experienced this when jogging with the phone in my pocket while listening to music on my headphones. And if it's for security reasons, then why is anyone able to switch my phone into silent mode?Â

Mar 20, 2012I have a iPhone 4 and it froze and when rebooted it stays at the Apple logo screen. I have tried to put the iPhone in DFU and all I can get it to do is go into recovery mode (Shows a picture of iTunes with USB etc..) When I press the Sleep and Home button, the iPhone just goes of for a second and then powers back up and again, stays at the Apple logo. I have some pictures on my iPhone that I MUST get off before I allow it to be recovered.
