May 10, 2012Today I updated my Iphone 4 to 5.1.1, now it just goes to start screen (showing me the apple logo) then it goes black and it restarts to do the same.
If I take it off the power charge cable nothing happens, even if I press the two buttons together.
The phone has full batter power, it is only after this 5.1.1. update that something has happend.

Mar 12, 2012i upgraded to ios 5.1 yesterday and now my iphone 4 will not output any video to my tv screen. the problem is that i am using the phone to do some training demos because it was easier than carrying a laptop. is this a bug that will be fixed? the video out worked with netflix, itunes, the video app and Internet up until i updated the ios.

May 11, 2012After applying the iOS 5.1.1 update to my wife's iPhone 3gs, it no longer works. Trying to do a restore fails with an Error 37. The Apple Store says it's a hardware error. Why would it be a hardware error, when it was working perfectly fine before the update?

May 14, 2012I updated to iOS 5.1.1 today, and ever since my iMessages will send, say they're delivered and the display the exclamation point and the delivery failure notification. Now the weird thing is that sometimes the person I send to actually does recieve the imessage, and then I'll still see the delivery failure notification and below it "read at ....". I also use messages beta for os X, and this stopped working altogether.
I have restared messages on mac I have restarted my mac. I have restarted my iPhone. I have restarted the messages app on my iPhone. I have turned iMessages on and off. I have restored my iPhone. I'm really out of moves and getting desperate.

Mar 19, 2012Ever since I installed the iOS 5.1 update on my iPhone 4, the home button does not work at all! I've tried every trouble shooting solution I could find. I've Restarted, I can't hard reset because the home button doesn't work, I've restored from back up, I've restored as new, I've vacuumed out and gently used a tooth brush in the port below the home button in attempt to remove any dust. I've tried opening a factory installed app such as Maps, Safari, Stocks etc and held the top button until the "Slide to power off" showed and then held down the home button until it went to home screen except it didn't go to the home screen at all the "slide to power off" disappeared after a while. I have extremely intermittent response with the Home Button. If i press it continuously it will work after 27 presses one time or 9 presses another but never when I try to do a hard reset and 9.999 times out of 10 it doesn't work.

Sep 2, 2014Recently updated my iPhone 4 to ios 7.1.2. Currently my worst problem: instead of going into sleep mode, the phone turns off completely. I then cannot turn the phone back on with the sleep/wake button. To turn the phone back on, I need to do a hard reboot each time by holding down the home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously. I have tried going into settings/general/reset and selecting "reset all".

Mar 12, 2012When restarted my computer and reconnects my iPhone, it now prompts saying that iPhone in recovery mode and I must restore before it can be used with iTunes. I am very sure there's 2 backup copies in my (default designated) computer folder, with one being dated 12Mar (the day of updating). I browsed the computer folder while waiting for the downloads in iTunes.
However the backup folder is now empty!! and I can't restore to any previous backup, and my phone cannot be turn on. The iTunes restore button asked if I wanted to restore to original factory settings. How could this happen?!! My Recycle bin has this item "iPhone3,1_5.0.1_9A405_Restore.ipsw".
How can I retreive my previous phone backup, or just return to iOS5.0.1 with its data prior to the 5.1?

So my panic is that when MobileMe switches to iCloud on June 30, I will lose not only my email but everything! on my iPhone. At least if i could update the phone somehow to get iCloud on it i would retain at least some tether to my mail and contacts.Is there any way I could take the phone to an Apple specialist, and they could back it up, restore and update the software, restore my data to it?Or is my iPhone permanently tethered to my dying computer alone? For what it's worth, I did constantly back up both my iPhone and iMac on a LaCie ext. hard drive with Time Machine. Apr 13, 2012Two major issues occur after an upgrade to OS6.
1. Ever since the upgrade from OS5 to OS6, I've been getting memory issues when simply browsing the internet. U get the message "The memory available on your device is low. Please close some tabs." just reading the news.
2. This is urgent. I just updated my OS6 and now my e-mail doesn't even work. Whenever I try to set it up under e-mail accounts "internet mail account", it just freezes or closes.
I've looked at the possible go to "mobile.blackberry.com" and go to communications but I don't see that option available. I also tried battery pulling many times to restart my e-mail service. This is coming close for me in drawing the line for BlackBerry phones.

Mines been hanging for at least 30 minutes and if the only way to help is to get suggestions from non-blackberry employees while the support services hide away then the phone may as well go back and I'll, get an iPhone.
It shouldn't be up to the people on this forum to be left to do things themselves. Blackberry needs to get involved with all the problems and questions their updates are causing.
