iwas updating my iphone 4 to ios 5,did NOT work.now it is frozen with picture of phone lead,arrow and itunes icon.phone will not connect to itunes for me to restore.

When restarted my computer and reconnects my iPhone, it now prompts saying that iPhone in recovery mode and I must restore before it can be used with iTunes. I am very sure there's 2 backup copies in my (default designated) computer folder, with one being dated 12Mar (the day of updating). I browsed the computer folder while waiting for the downloads in iTunes.
However the backup folder is now empty!! and I can't restore to any previous backup, and my phone cannot be turn on. The iTunes restore button asked if I wanted to restore to original factory settings. How could this happen?!! My Recycle bin has this item "iPhone3,1_5.0.1_9A405_Restore.ipsw".
How can I retreive my previous phone backup, or just return to iOS5.0.1 with its data prior to the 5.1?

After updating, the gps navigation does not work in offline mode (in online mode works fine). When I switch to offline mode (with only built gps, ofcourse without A-gps) -the c5-03 can find the gps coordinates quickly in my house, so the hardwer works absolutely fine - and try to give a target in car driving mode, c5-03 tells me that from this place there is no road available with car. In pedestrian mode the situation is the same, only the message is a little different. I tried to delete the cities dir, and rebuild and reload all from nokia suite with PC, but no changes, Offline navigation does not work. View 9 Replies View RelatedI updated my Blackberry 8900 Curve over the weekend to v5.0.0.1036(Platform 5.2.0.104) Provider is [URL] This updated was offered when connecting my device to BlackBerry Desktop Application.
After this update successfully took place I discovered the problem that the upper top right button (usually used to mute) does not send my device to standby anymore when being pressed longer than 3 seconds. This function worked perfectly prior to this update. Unfortunately I did not know on what version I was before, but as I`m doing updates on a more of less regular base I assume it was the prior available one.
Together with this problem I discovered something that is also working different than before. When I press the keyboard lock button (upper top left button) the lock now gets activated directly and the screen turns black. Before this update took place the owner details were showing up when pressing this button and the screen turns dark after the defined time to go off. The owner details are added correctly and show up when going to properties-owner.
I did a secure delete (security options - security delete) of the device and started from scratch twice already, but the problem remains the same.
Is there any way to get at least the standby working again. I´m using an case-mate holster with build in battery allow me to recharge my BB when no power plug is avail. Unfortunately this one does not have a magnet that send the device to standby automatically when plugged into the holster, so this manual standby option is important for me to extend battery life.
I own a Curve 8900 and up till a few hours ago was absolutely delighted with it. On being prompted to upgrade the software in my device, I did so and am very disappointed now. The lock button on the top left of my phone no longer works neither does the button on the right. I have tried to recover the phone from the earlier backup but this has not helped either. I also found the BB site somewhat user unfriendly. Any advice anyone?
