I'm trying to test on the data speeds of a REV 0 device on Sprint using an older Motorola V3m. And for the life of me i cant get any normal speedtesting sites to work that measure how fast my data is.First I tried using the built in browser(Obigo Browser Q04C1-1.17) with http://mobilespeedtest.com and when running the test it gets stuck at the test running page and never redirects to my results. The second site I tried with the browser is http://text.broadbandreports.com/mspeed in which if I try to run a 1M test I get the message that the maximum download size has been exceeded. None of the smaller test sizes are large enough to produce results.
Is there some kind of a download size limit in this phone? maybe a changeable setting? The last thing I have tried is a J2me based bandwith testing app however that app would give me an error about not being able to download the test file.Does anyone have any ideas on what might work to test my data speeds on a Sprint Motorola Razr v3m? any good java apps i could load onto the phone out there that might work? also pardon my noobishness when it comes to cdma motos.
Is there any internet speed test app for Asha 311? I tried the speed test from [URL] but the result was very high. I have Airtel 3G and it always shows 3.5G.
make a speed test app for the windows phone because speed test apps are available on android and ios now it's the time when you also make an app for testing cellular data's speed on 3G or 2GPlease make a network speed test app for lumia series?
I used to own a 3GS years ago, and decided to buy another. Back then it was Fast! 4.1! Now? 5.x.x is Horrible! 256 megs ram should be plenty as before but I guess Apple just wanna make things difficult.
When exercising on the treadmill at the gym, I have tried the "Walking/Indoors" program. At first I calibrated it at 3.0 mph (I actually run at 4.5mph). The pedometer seemed to be right on track, but the speed was just all over the place. So I read discussions in the forum that said it should be calibrated at the actual mph at which you walk/run. So I recalibrated today at 4.5 mph, and still the speed was jumping everywhere but the correct number.Full disclosure: My excercise routine is a power-walk (all that's left for me to do due to a spinal condition). I wear the ACTV on my wrist because I like to keep checking the stats. Even if I hold my arm still in front of me, the speed keeps oscillating.
Any good app to speed up Internet access on Galaxy S2 running ICS. Wifi connection is fine, it's when I am connected via 3G that speed drops and applications such as facebook takes a long time to open and sometimes I encounter timeout errors. For a phone with such a fast processor this is a little bit disappointing. My question therefore is there an app that can run in the background to speed the 3g connection up?
I have an MPow dual USB car charger capable of providing 2.1 amps over both USB ports. It is also able to detect if you are using an iPhone or Android and adjust accordingly. It worked great with my G2. It could fast charge my wife's G2 and my G2 at the same time. However, on my Nexus 5 I just got, it is only charging at USB speed.
Probably the best way to test the real time 3G connection on your iPhone is with a ping tool. The one I used is a free app called Network Ping Lite.Download the tool and turn off WIFI. Open it up and choose the Ping utility. Enter an ip (you can use 208.67.222.222), scroll down to turn on "Ping forever" and then hit Start.
Watch to see if you get a response and note the time in "ms". Then do whatever you think might affect the connection. If the times go up or if it stops responding you've affected the connection.
Mine will sometimes start dropping pings almost immediately after putting the lower left corner of the phone in my palm. This is what happens in the screenshot below. FWIW, this doesn't bother me, I just hold the phone a different way.
I've set up my iP4 as a New phone and did NOT restore from a previous backup. I did a full charge to 100%, reset the data usage and made sure all apps were closed. I put it the phone to sleep (clicked power button) and I went to sleep. I woke up this morning and woke the phone up; 4% was used after 6hrs and 50min of standby time, there was no other usage.
Doing some quick math this would equate to 170.83 hours of standby time assuming a linear relationship; 56.94% of the 300hrs on the spec sheet.
410min/4% = 102.50min/% of standby use 102.5min*100/60 = 170.83 hours
This seems pretty light given the standby time rating. I'm hoping I can get others to perform the same test to get a decent sample of performance, please post your findings.
I have T-Mobile and I have now activated Facetime through the help of somebody, I'm trying to test if it works correctly, seeing as how my intended FT partner is sleeping.
I just received an invite on my FB page from a person called John Burchet to test Iphone 5. All he want's is my address and within 3-5 days I will receive either the phone or some email I presume. Is this for real?I got a freaky feeling from it, I am from a foreign country first of all. This person just became a FB member but yet already has some followers who send there address..
Today and all of a sudden i was downloading an application from apple store using my account, but the download failed and the following message appeared: "this is not a test user account, create an account using sandbox envirnoment"This is the first time that such thing happens to me knowing that I've downloaded hundreds of applications using my account without any problem.
I've tried to do the field test mode by typing *3001#12345#* but when I hit call it doesn't do anything.Does anyone know how to enter field test mode on the new iPhone 4?
Considering the poor performance of ios4 on the iphone4, I'm inclined to wonder did the developers have any phones to test it on. Some of the bugs are so blatantly obvious typing lags dreadful Bluetooth performance and that awful proximity sensor bug. I waited several weeks after US launch mainly to allow all bugs to be ironed out but that didn't work. Cmon apple get your finger out. You dropped the ball on this one.
Every now and then, I will send a text message to a friend, and somehow, the message and the following conversation, seems to be copied to my wifes phone. An interesting scenario!! Also makes me wander who else might be aware of my sms conversations!I cant put my finger on when the issue first started, it does seem to have started fairly recenlty though. At first i thought i must have done something wrong...but now i am sure there is some sort of anomaly here. I have done an iphone reset (ie..hold power and home buttons down for 10 seconds). That did not seem to resolve. My friends is using an iphone 3GS (not sure of iOS version) and my wife and i are both on iphone 4 with 5.1.1. My wife's and my phone are managed by the same itunes account / pc (not sure if there is some sort of confusion between phs somehow?)
I am facing trouble with my iphone 4s with the software ios5.1.1.I get a pop up whenever I download using my iphone 4s saying This is not a test user account. Please create a new account in the sandbox environment. [Environment: Sandbox] Ok so let me explain a few things, after doing some research on the web, here are answers for some questions that you might ask.
1.) No, my iphone isn't jailbroken.2.) I can download from my ipad2 but not from my iphone 4s3.) This is the third time this happened. The first time it happened was back in May, I restored and backed up my iphone. Then on July 26 this happened again, so I backed up and restored my account again. Then the problem came back just now.4.) My mom, two sisters, and one brother all use MY ACCOUNT on their devices. I use my account on my ipad and iphone 4s. So in total, six devices are using my account, two of those devices are mine. 5.) To be fair, I only experienced this problem when I put my account on my brother and sisters devices. However I don't think that's the problem.6.) Yes, I tried to sign out, turned off my iphone, opened my iphone. Yet I still get the same error.7.) My mom and siblings can download perfectly, my ipad even works, it's just my iphone that's causing trouble.
is there anyway to get an upgrade to ios6 to test it out before the official release? I have read about some people trying it out and i would love to be one of those people.
Yesterday when trying to install CCloud from comodo on my iphone directly from the App store an error occured: This is not a test user account. Please create a new account in the sandbox environment.[Environment: Sandbox] I tried signing out from the appstore on my iPhone, but when i try to sign in the same error occurs. Also tried rebooting the iPhone, when i try to sign in the sandbox error pops up. I'm currently on iOS 5.1 - iPhone 4S 16GB (FYI: Not Jailbreaked)
Since like 1.5 years I got an iPhone 4. But it's getting slower and slower! And sometimes if I put on the home button it doesn't works or if I put once on the home button, I get the voice control! So my question is, how can I speed up my iphone 4?
I Also have a problem with my earphones, the whole time, with 2 iPhone 4, and 1 iPhone 5 earphones, the left earphone it's sound is lowering down, and this with already 3 earphones!Â
I felt like there was no difference with the speed of the ip4 than my 3gs. I gave my 3gs to my daughter and the other night she needed to me get her signed up for netflix. There is a significant difference. I thought she had did something to cause the speed to slow down so I restored her phone It was a little faster but not like my ip4. She doesn't have the jailbreak because for some reason I can't jailbreak her phone. I do have the jailbreak and even though I notice a slight lag it is still faster at opening apps than the 3gs. I knew there was a difference in the display but I didn't realize it was so big of a difference. I sometimes wonder did I just jump on board with buying the ip4 because besides the hardware it wasn't that big of a difference. But now I see there is a huge difference. The 3gs is a great phone but the ip4 is a much better phone. It is smoother and definitely faster and you can't beat the retina display. And by the way I never had any problems with the antenna because I immediately put my phone in a case for protection even before I heard about atennagate and I always use a bluetooth or headset for my phone so if I have the issue with the ps I never noticed.
How do I set up a speed dial on my iPhone 4s? I am used to the bberry where I just keep my finger on a number in order to dial. This is very useful in the car. How do I get the same effect on iPhone?
I would kindly ask for some support concerning my iPhone GS: The smartphone runs with the latest firmware and its memory capacity is still around 50% of the maximum (btw: it is not cracked and I do not want to do that). It seems to me that the processing speed gets worse every day.
Opening apps can quite take a while and so are any actions including some text input (e.g. task planners).
Could it be that this is due to the permanent connection to cloud services like Dropbox or Exchange Server (for email, tasks, and notes)?
