I just received an invite on my FB page from a person called John Burchet to test Iphone 5. All he want's is my address and within 3-5 days I will receive either the phone or some email I presume. Is this for real?I got a freaky feeling from it, I am from a foreign country first of all. This person just became a FB member but yet already has some followers who send there address..
I have a really weird and annoying problem with my Lumia 800.Pretty much it starts with this:The phone totally random powers off, it wont start until i put the charger in (even if the battery really is at 40% or more). After that whenever I receive a text message (sms and mms) it won't be listed in the messaging conversation. I only see the last sms I sent/got after the phone powered off, new messages is listed in the notification window, but only there. Sending new messages works, but they won't either be listed..So I can't really read my new texts other than in the notification window that pops up when I get a new one.Deleting all my messages doesn't solve it, restarting the phone doesn't either.
Many times, I need to send a quick email to all meeting invitees. I could do this with my blackberry - -but I can't figure out how to do this with my iphone.
I have an iPhone 4. When I use iCal (which is now synched to my Macbook) which is housing my google calendar, I can't invite anyone to my events in iCal. I have to go to the google calendar website and schedule it from there. My wife has a 4S and she can do it right from iCal on a google calendar.
So my wifes iPhone 5 likes to send me invites with incorrect times. She will set the appointment for say, 7am-8am West coast time. But when I receive the invite, it shows 10am-11am EST. Â
How do I invite others into the blackberry messenger.I followed all the instruction, but ALL THE RECEPIENTS received (I just want this to work the way it should):
I'm trying to add friends on BBM we've exchange PINs but they're both still pending and I've added them both through PINs and one through contacts. When I send messages it costs me like normal texts.
I feel this was a hoax. I purchased the phone under the impression I would received 100 rebate/store credit and received nothing. Did anyone get there $100 rebate/credit from nokia or ATT?
If this is really outlook related but wanted to try here in case anyone else has seen the problem.i have a blackberry user who intermittently can't see accepted meeting invites in his calendar on the BB or in Outlook.
Someone I don't know invited me to be friends on BBM.I declined, but the invite notification is still showing up every time I get another notification. How can I make this unwanted invite go away?
Since Apr 30, 2100 the above person keeps sending me an Invite Contact to add me to his or her BB Messenger Contact List. My options are Accept or Decline or Ignore or Close. I have tried everything but Accept and cannot get the message to go away. How do I clear these request permanently.
Probably the best way to test the real time 3G connection on your iPhone is with a ping tool. The one I used is a free app called Network Ping Lite.Download the tool and turn off WIFI. Open it up and choose the Ping utility. Enter an ip (you can use 208.67.222.222), scroll down to turn on "Ping forever" and then hit Start.
Watch to see if you get a response and note the time in "ms". Then do whatever you think might affect the connection. If the times go up or if it stops responding you've affected the connection.
Mine will sometimes start dropping pings almost immediately after putting the lower left corner of the phone in my palm. This is what happens in the screenshot below. FWIW, this doesn't bother me, I just hold the phone a different way.
For some reason when I set an appointment I can't invite anyone for my address book like I did on my Bold. The option is grayed out.Anyone encounter this?
The option to "invite attendees" on the calendar has just vanished from my wife's Curve 9300!It worked perfectly a few days ago. So far I have completed the following procedures without any success:
1. done soft reset & hard resets: battery out & in whilst BB is on; alt/del buttons for soft reset.
2. done the hosting route table connection thing
3. checked default services and made sure the CICAL calendar is set to the correct email provider (gmail, in this case), no conflicting accounts appeared.
4. checked the phone has updated software: it has the newest service book.
5. Restored just the calendar from a previous backup using the BB desktop software.None of this has worked. Finally, I have downloaded the same up to date service book but have NOT reinstalled it because I do not know how. BTW: on resending service book I followed instructions and downloaded the exe. file onto the media card (it was too large for the phone memory) but have not accessed this or installed it yet or rebooted the phone.
I was inviting a friend to BB Messenger via a pin number. I mistyped his pin and how have a pending invite. I can't seem to figure out how to delete it. I select the invite and hit the menu but no delete option...
I have recently purchased the bold 9780 and I have restored all my bbm contacts from my old phone to the new one. I have more than 200 contacts and when I try to broadcast a msg to my contacts it asks me to re-invite each contact... is there any way to re-invite all contacts at once? without the need to go through one by one?
I don't care if its ICS or that small bug fix I like getting updates. I also like giving my feed back on products, mainly technology obviously. Is there anyway to guarantee getting the invite or is it picked at random?
I've set up my iP4 as a New phone and did NOT restore from a previous backup. I did a full charge to 100%, reset the data usage and made sure all apps were closed. I put it the phone to sleep (clicked power button) and I went to sleep. I woke up this morning and woke the phone up; 4% was used after 6hrs and 50min of standby time, there was no other usage.
Doing some quick math this would equate to 170.83 hours of standby time assuming a linear relationship; 56.94% of the 300hrs on the spec sheet.
410min/4% = 102.50min/% of standby use 102.5min*100/60 = 170.83 hours
This seems pretty light given the standby time rating. I'm hoping I can get others to perform the same test to get a decent sample of performance, please post your findings.
I have T-Mobile and I have now activated Facetime through the help of somebody, I'm trying to test if it works correctly, seeing as how my intended FT partner is sleeping.
Today and all of a sudden i was downloading an application from apple store using my account, but the download failed and the following message appeared: "this is not a test user account, create an account using sandbox envirnoment"This is the first time that such thing happens to me knowing that I've downloaded hundreds of applications using my account without any problem.
I've noticed with the new S2 or 5.0 OS calendar, entries use the "default" calendar. Which is great, zero duplication, syncing is always accurate, etc, etc. But the "default" calendar does not have an associated email acct with it, so it doesn't allow you to "invite" anyone to the appointment. If you use one of your email accounts, you are then adding and additional calendar, then the games begin (problems). ??? Is there a way to continue using the default calendar and invite attendee's to meetings/appointments?
I received a meeting invite via Exchange for work, I opened the notification and the meeting, but I can't find the way to accept, tentative, or reject it. Is this an Android bug or I'm just not seeing the buttons.
I've tried to do the field test mode by typing *3001#12345#* but when I hit call it doesn't do anything.Does anyone know how to enter field test mode on the new iPhone 4?
