My wife's iPhone 4 has been attempting to send a large message via Mail for the past 3 days. I'd like to stop the message since it's clearly not going to be sent. I've tried turning the phone off and on, but to no avail. The "Edit" box in the upper right corner is unavailable.

View 1 Replies View RelatedBasically, every single time I try to delete a chat with someone my phone or just the Messages app freezes. I cannot even use the app once I attempt to delete a chat with someone. I end up in the "New Message" screen and it does not go away until I restart my phone. I cannot navigate through my phone at all once I'm on the "New Message" screen. I always have to resort to restarting my phone.Â
I have restored my phone to factory settings then backed it up with whatever is saved. I don't want to restore it to factory settings completely without the backup plan because I have invested a lot into this phone. Â
Also, this started occurring right after I updated to iOS 7.1.2. I thought Apple could do me no wrong... I guess I was just one of the lucky few.

I'm sending text messages to a list of people I have in an email, and I just noticed that not all (in fact, most) of the messages I sent are not appearing as sent in my Messages application. I'm sending these messages by hovering over the phone numbers in the email and selecting "Send Message" from the popup list. I then type the message I want to send, click "Send," and it returns me to Mail.Â
What's the problem here? I tested it by sending a message in the same way to one of my friends, and she told me she didn't receive it. Is there a way for me to fix this, or do I just have to manually enter every phone number into messages?

I received an e-mail to update one of my e-mail passwords. After going into "setup" , then "e-mail" the screen pops back to the main "setup" screen. When I attempt to exit the screen freezes and then I have to remove battery to reboot.

View 6 Replies View Relatedthis is honestly the worst phone I have ever owned. I had a blackberry that about a month ago stopped getting about half the emails I should have gotten. After a month of talking with IT about this and trying all kinds of fixes I gave up and decided to get and android phone to bypass the blackberry servers I assumed were the culprit. Well I am going to return this phone tomorrow and use my blackberry again. Yes, after 5 days of trying ever possible setting I have given up. I had the emails working for about 5 minutes and then after setting up a gmail account they stopped. I did a reset on the phone thinking this would help. Nope. And today mysteriously my old gmail account showed up even though I never set it up. Google is evil. And this phone is a piece of crap.
One of the big problems with this phone are the additional security settings under the advanced settings for incoming and outgoing servers. Out of about 10 Motrola IT people I talked to on the phone or chatted with had no idea what these were. I kept asking if they were for SSL and no one knew. Then yesterday I was told by the only intelligent person they are an additional secruity password you can get from your ISP and are similar to SSL keys. I had them checked (the port numbers will automatically change) the first time I had the phone working. But unchecked them and was able to sent two emails to my own email address and yet received no other emails yesterday as a test. Today I tried to send myself another email and it didn't go through though it appeared on my desktop.
I have my BB set to automatically delete messages after 15 days. Does this mean it will only delete the message off the BB device, or both the device and the server? I assume it means just the device but wanted to confirm.

It was displaying "cannot get mail" and couldn't connect to the server, even after I updated my password on the phone. But as soon as 'Mail' is opened it checks all the accounts. Apparently it doesn't work this way for everyone: it seems a little pointless to have separate inboxes and then ignore them and default to downloading them all every time anyway. The accounts are all sey to "manual" under "fetch new data".

Something is EXTREMELY bothering on iPhone and NEVER happens on other operating systems / platforms: Mail app on iPhone downloads the mail attachements, without asking me. It costs me a lot when this happens on a gsm network connection (not on wi-fi). It is normal in any mail client in the world to have the option of downloading only headers, or at least to decide when and if you want to download the attach.
Can this be set in anyway? Or is just one annoying thing that you cannot change? If so, is there a certain limit for the attachement file-size, that is used for the auto-download? I mean, above this limit, the attachements are not downloaded automatically anymore?

So strange but ~2 weeks ago on my iPhone 4S stop working iCloud (@me.com) email push notifications. When I open Mail program it's start receiving all the mail. I checked all the settings and there is Push notifications turned on!

When Siri is on, each time I try to listen to my voicemail without going to speaker, Siri overrides the voicemail to beep at me.
