Am I missing a way to delete mail that seems more intuitive than what we currently have? I've read through the tricks and tips thread but if it's there I must have missed it. So far I haven't seen anything in iOS4 that makes it any easier than it was in the past.
For instance, Facebook emails. I can't turn them off because I'm OCD about status updates and I want to see all comments, and receive mail in case someone deletes one they have posted. Plus, it's easier to read emails than to go into the Facebook app and look at every status and notification that I've commented on.
Anyway, when I'm done reading them, sometimes I have upwards of 50+ emails and the only way I can find to delete them from the mail app is to tap every single email one by one, which is tedious and annoying. Is this really the only way to mass delete emails? I think the least Apple could do is make it like the photos app where you tap one photo, and if you just drag your finger along the photos it selects them as you drag.
This is really bothering me.I have a yahoo mail account set up on my phone - It has been on there for over a year - it has always worked this way - If I get an email (the phone goes "bing") and i read it on the computer - and responded and delete it on the computer it would be removed from the phone the next time i looked. Recently I began noticing that the message is not being delated from the phone if I delete it from the mailbox, and I can't figure out why.
Basically I want to be able to read the message on the computer and hit delete and for it do the same thing on my blackberry and vise versa. Now it seems to work if I delete the message on the BB then it will not be in the Mailbox on the computer.
So I was going though my Mail and noticed a group of unread emails that has No Subject and No Sender. I tried to delete the group but there us no option to delete it. How can I delete it?
I have an iPhone 5 and I use the mail application quite a lot, and I also like to sort my mail into folders after I have read it. I know how to create a new folder, but I don't know how to delete an old folder (I've been using the same email account for a few years now and a lot of my folders are organised into friends from my old school who I don't keep in touch with anymore). If I tap on an older folder and click delete, it just states there and doesn't delete.how to delete a folder.
about 6 months ago my mother in law purchased an Iphone. I set up her email for her using a pop 3. At the time I could not get the godaddy outgoing email server to work so I used my local ISP provied outgoing smtp server with my user name and password.
Now my mother in law moved to a different sate and she got a new iphone but my outgoing mail server still shows up as the primary outgoing mail server so she still needs my user name and password.
Also on my iphone I noticed there are 8 "other smtp servers" in addition to the primary. I want to delete them all.
I have recently purchased a new iphone 4s and when i set up my mail it has downloaded 3000 + old messages going back 5 years. How can i delete all the old messages at once without having to check each one?

I am trying to delete messages on an iPhone. I am getting a message that says "unable to move message""the message could not be moved to mailbox trash". Â
Before the update to iOS 5.1 when I "deleted" emails in the native mail app the emails would be "archived" in my gmail account. Now, when I delete the emails on the native mail app, the emails are sent to the trash. I cannot find a toggle in the mail settings to restore the archive feature (if it exists).
I have two e-mail accounts on iPhone, and need to delete the business e-mail. Seems simple, but the RED DELETE Account button is no longer an option.Â
iPhone 4s, ios 5.1, Verizon customer. I have never had an issue until this phone. Why I can see the "delete from server" option, but I can't check it? It's really annoying to delete emails from my phone and then have to go back and delete from my computer.
My iCloud email pushes mail to my iPhone and my iMac. But, when I delete an email from my iMac, my badge does not update on the Mail icon on my iPhone, unless I acually open mail on the iPhone. The iPhone acts like the Push function only works for receiving emails and not for deleting them from the iMac.Â
I have deleted my iCloud account on my iPhone and then reinstalled it, and that did not fix it. What can I do to fix the Push issue that I am having?Â
PSÂ I am using the latest Mail and Mavericks on my iMac and the latest iOS on my iPhone.

My boss switched from blackberry to iPhone and is having difficulties with his email. He keeps EVERY email he receives on his computer, but does not want to keep them on his phone. Is there any possible way to delete an email off of the iPhone but keep it on the server? He uses Yahoo Mail & Novell Group Wise.
My iphone 4S drain the battery too fast.Bought the 23 dicember 2011, it has just 4 months of use and the battery should be gone? I think there is a great software problem.and Apple had to fix it definitevily. A product like this, with this price MUST CAN BE USED AT LEAST 2 DAYS IN ALL HIS FUNCTION!This is a device thinked to be connected everywhere at everytime, but the hardware seems not to follow this intent. I used the phone for calling, sms, web, mail and music, NO GAMESail has no push notification.Yesterday I've disabled all notification and some other things to see if the battery could be better, tried to not recover the old back-up
I charged Both my iphone 6 and my ipad (whichever one was new three years ago) at the same time to 100% i noticed not using both and looking at the batter my brand new iphone 6 battery is dying faster than my three year old iPad. They both run the latest IOS so if

I used to e-mail photo's or just from my mail folder, but since the last upgrade I can not mail from my mail folder or from my picture folder.I rebooted, took out the battery, delete my mail address, re setup, and still nothing, the only way from me to mail is from my contacts folder.
My Blackberry 9300 shows me the voice mail icon, shaped like spools of a casette. The odd part is that I do not have voice mail service on my phone and I don't know how to get rid of the icon
