View 4 RepliesThis is really bothering me.I have a yahoo mail account set up on my phone - It has been on there for over a year - it has always worked this way - If I get an email (the phone goes "bing") and i read it on the computer - and responded and delete it on the computer it would be removed from the phone the next time i looked. Recently I began noticing that the message is not being delated from the phone if I delete it from the mailbox, and I can't figure out why.
Basically I want to be able to read the message on the computer and hit delete and for it do the same thing on my blackberry and vise versa. Now it seems to work if I delete the message on the BB then it will not be in the Mailbox on the computer.
I had a problem with my micro sd card which was rectified my a BB tech today. After he had me do a reset, my yahoo and hotmail message icons are missing. All of my messages go into the message file but not into the dedicated files under the right icon.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have been going through various posts and websites. It looks like we can't customize email icons due to OS 5.0 security restriction and can say other way that OS 5.0 system files are read only! But I would still check to see if anyone succeeded in customizing email icons for Bold

View 1 Replies View Relatedso I updated my OS and tinkered with my speaker (see seperate thread) and after putting my phone back together, the send function in e-mail is gone for replies. I can forward e-mails fine but if I hit reply, I get every option except "send". I actually had the same issue when I first got my phone but it has been so long ago that I cant remember how I fixed it. Can anyone assist?

I reloaded ny data and all is well except that I cannot get my phone to give me a tone or a vibrate when I receive an email. I have the out of holster and the in holster settings set to vibrate+tone, high, 3 but it still will not give me any audio or vibrate alert just mail icon pops up so I can only tell if I look at the phone if I have new email.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI don't know if this has anything to do with the recent BIS 3.0 update, but my E-Mail Setup Icon disappeared. I know it was there earlier today since I went in to see if there were any BIS 3.0 changes (I didn't see any). Now it's gone.I still have all my e-mail accounts set up and they appear to be working fine, but the setup icon is gone.Has anyone else noticed this issue? Is there something going on with BIS? Perhaps an upgrade rollout?

Since upgrading, several things are working better than they have in a long while. However, I can't find my visual voicemail. Am I overlooking it, is it unsupported, or is there something I need to install or change to bring it back?

I simply cannot delete 2 SMS messages from my Blackberry Bold. What did I press or not press? I have deleted them from saved messages etc. but they will delete from the inbox. Also, incoming SMS messages appear at the bottom of the screen under the date of the un-delete-able messages, and those un-delete-able messages appear under today's date.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble with some things that I havent been able to figure out by now and this is my last resort where to find answers. This issue is really bugging me. After literally spending two weeks with my service provider telephoning most time waiting in witing for a call center agent to get connected to and being each time transferred to another division to a last being transferred to the divission where I first started at speak meoving in a cricle and no one being able to help me and this whole theater every day the same for two weeks, I am turning now to the people here hoping I could find some answers
1) My provider in Switzerland is sunrise (BIS), so I went on to the website sunrise.blackberry.com and entered my existing accounts, 4 of them. Additionaly I registered a new blackberry email address to be able to use the true push service which is xx@sunrise.blackberry.com (xx being just a placeholder for my real name). The problem is though that I haven't been able to find out the mail settings I have to enter into my Mail Programm on my PC so I can access the emails on my computer. I dont know if it's a pop server, an IMAP server and not to speak of the mail settings of the server settings for incoming and outgoing email. Since it's actually a BlackBerry server I figured that the servers are BB managed (no one at Sunrise Switzerland even knew what BIS is or that you could receive PUSH mail with the Blackberry email).
2) I tried to register a new email address at https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html for a direct xx@blackberry.com email address thinking that maybe with this, it would easier to find infos about the settings. The problem here is that I have to enter my PIN (no problem) and ESN/MEID number. The Problem is that I haven't been able to find those numbers now mather how hard I tried; they are not even listed in options>status.
DO NOT use it but it runs in the background all the time. When I call my regular VVM, I always get a SMS message:
alpsgaacds01.attwireless.net:5400?f=0&v=420&m=9048 13****&p=&S=I&s=5433&t=904813****:A:OJUSAP56:ms02: client:47297
I have replace the last 4 digits of my cell phone number with ****. I only use the regular VM and want to stop VVM from running in the background on my 9700 and want to delete it!

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhy can't RIM develop a Bold 9xxx with the body of the Bold 9000 with larger memory, Trackpad, better camera? They've done it with the Tour and Curve. Plus they've got all the parts available already, just need a little engineering to fit the trackpad and everything else. C'mon RIM. We know you can do it. I'm sure you'd sell millions of them.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI like the new integrated mailboxes feature. However, will I be able to set up separate mail icons on the homescreen to jump to the specific e-mail account? For example, I can have a mail icon for my gmail, one for my mobileme, and one for my exchange account all separate on the home screen for a total of three (same mail icon but different subtext per which account it is, for example).Based on what I've seen and read so far I think the answer is no. What I'm anticipating is I will have to open the one mail icon with all my accounts listed, then have to choose which one I go to from there. Not a terribly huge deal, as it is better than the current setup, but separate icons would be a nice feature have.
View 5 Replies View RelatedQuick question. I am starting a new Job and they are getting me a superbasic Perl. I need this for work and so I will be forking some dough out of my pocket to get one of the two following phones: Bold 9000 (I'll pay 100$ Canadian, not Us) Curve 8530 (pay 24.99$ Canadian). I am very used to the Iphone and HTC Touch Pro 2 (not trying to start a flaming/argument/anything else , its just what i'm used to). I am very used to browsing with the other phones and I have heard that BB phones are not up to par, so my expectations will be low. Out of the two phones however, does one perform better than the other (Curve 8530 vs Bold 9000)? Out of the two phones, which one do you recommend overall. I have read that the Bold 9000 even though it is older, it still outperforms the 8530...
View 5 Replies View RelatedI dropped my BlackBerry Bold 9000 on the weekend and damaged the LCD screen. The device still works, but two thirds of the LCD is now white and there's what looks like an inkblot on the left side of the screen. I'd like to try to fix it, but don't really want to shell out a lot of $ to do so --- I'm a month away from upgrading.Does anyone have any suggestions, or perhaps a dead BlackBerry with a working screen that you're willing to part with? A DIY repair -- this is out of warranty anyway -- looks straightforward, but I'm not sure I want to spend the $100 or so for a new OEM part to replace the LCD screen.
