Having problem seeing the storage after plugging into PC? adb command works and device drivers installed. Found another forum where turning the usb from MTP to charging and back under developer options does the trick. I have a non stock ROM and seeing if fresh out of the box experiences the same thing.

It's time that BB and Verizon get their S*&T together and stop tossing out excuses for the reason as to why things don't work. Take the time you would to write the excuse and come up with a patch or fix to the problems.
I am having the problem of writing to my internal storage. Ever since upgrading to 6.0.1 I have not been able to download anything successfully. I am currently on the current android version, do I need to have the phone encrypted for storage to read/write?

New Nexus 6p, latest OTA upgrade. Tried saving a file from an email attachment on Gmail app, the system asked me if I wanted to allow storage access permissions, I said yes, and another popup message said:
Screen overlay detected
To change this permission setting, you first have to turn off the screen overlay from Settings > Apps
When I go to these settings it shows the setting (YES or No) for each individual app. Gmail wasn't in the list of apps.

I had 13/16GB available on my Nexus 5. And now I have 18/32GB available on my 6P. My storage doubles and I only get 5GB more?
What is system data? Why can't I see it (it shows up nowhere, I just have less space available without actually seeing what's using up that space)
I saw the cm website had a new cm13 nightly for angler, so I decided to try it out, so I downloaded it and gapps, and rebooted into twrp, then I wiped everything besides for internal storage and then I proceeded to Install cm, it took a few minutes, and then when it was done I rebooted. The first sign of something weird was that after the regular your device can't be checked for corruption message it went black and then said that my device is corrupt in red letters, then it started the cm boot animation, I waited about 5 minutes and nothing happened so I rebooted into recovery and it asked me for an encryption password...
My device was not previously encrypted and I didn't require a password to Install cm, so I tried wiping everything besides for internal storage, and then I was about to flash again, but non of my files were there so I had nothing to flash.... So I rebooted into my bootloader and fastbooted stock and now I'm on stock, but all my files and backups are gone. I guess that's why it's good to have an external sd, because that never got wiped by installing a rom before, and if I would have one, I would have all my pictures, music, and app backups. But now I have to start from scratch all because I tried a new build cyanogen mod
No matter what I do I cannot see files over USB anymore! WEIRDEST thing I've seen in a long time... I can see FOLDERS no problem. Files act like they don't exist! I'm on PN, BTW...

I stopped it and then looked at the phone on my PC and it was saying it's size was 24.1 GB. It shows the same thing when I look at the storage on the phone. What happened?

I just finished installing CM13 on my Nexus 6P, but realised I'd downloaded the wrong GApps, so booted up into CM13 (Worked fine) and then downloaded the newest GApps into internal storage (Which was NOT empty when I connected over USB to my PC) yet when I went to flash the new GApps, TWRP tells me that I have nothing in my internal storage folder. I'm confused as to how that could happen.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am not rooted. I can access my phone through Windows 10. But I cannot see all my folders. The 2 that I am having problems with are my Camera and Music folders. Some of the files are there. When I use ES File Explorer I can see and access them fine. Right now I cannot pull off any of the photos or videos I take. This all happened after upgrading to 6.0.1. I have tried 2 different cables and 2 different computers with the same results. I have made sure that USB Debugging is enabled. I also made sure that I had PTP and MTP enabled. Also upgraded to the latest 6P drivers for Windows 10.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a Nexus 6P, which I think is an absolutely brilliant device. Despite this I would like to mess around with it behind the scenes (root, different ROMs etc). Firstly I'd like to edit build.prop.As such as I have installed the Android SDK, installed the relevant things needed such as the USB drivers and platform tools. I've enabled USB debugging in the Developer Settings and ADB works fine when the phone is in normal mode. Booting in to fastboot mode also works.
Unfortunately, when I enter Recovery mode the phone disappears from ADB devices and from Device Manager on Windows. Strangely selecting the sideload option means the device shows up in both places, but I can't use the commands I want.
I've tried various official drivers, unofficial drivers and even edited the official drivers to add my hardware ID with no luck. I'm somewhat new to modern Android so I may be missing something obvious.
I want to copy images from my phone to computer but what i have noticed is that it is not showing up all the images ! I have 697 images but it is showing only 297 images while connecting to PC. The images are there in Nexus 6P but it's not showing in PC. Tried both MTP and PTP, also tried removing and installing new device driver in PC.

I am getting things set up to root my Nexus 6p using a Macbook Pro. I have Android Studio installed & I see the platform-tools folder like the tutorial says. But my phone isn't showing up as a device on my Macbook nor is the terminal command "adb devices" showing it. Need to successfully rooted their Nexus 6p using a Macbook Pro?

After updating to 6.0.1 or some new version of the phone app I have been unable to search for nearby places in app. The toggles for it have been turned on and off multiple times, turned the phone on and off, played with turning location settings on in different modes with the location history on and off in each scenario. Haven't tried clearing the cache and I don't find it to be a big enough problem to warrant a factory reset.

On one of our phones, we have 387MB available and on another, 1.37GB. We recently got the phones and have basically DL'ed some apps, games, in Nokia maps (our state and nearby states). No music, haven't emailed any, no texts.

When connecting my BB 9700 to my Windows 7 PC via USB I used to be able to select the option on the 9700 of using it as a Mass Storage Device and then navigate it on my Windows 7 PC.Now, for some strange reason, even after agreeing to use it as a Mass Storage Device, it doesn't show within Windows 7 Explorer.

One day, my PC installed some USB driver on its own, and all of a sudden the phone can only connect in mass storage mode, instead of phone mode. Now I can't back up or tether. Has anyone ever had this problem before? I have windows vista basic; Please help I'd appreciate any info on how to fix this problem.

when looking at my storage, I have used 49gb for music, and around 5BG for photos/apps/videos. So, you can say in total I have consumed around 54gb, which should leave me with a healthy 60gb or so. My phone is saying I only have 9gb left?! Â
In iTunes the bar along the bottom which shows a breakdown of your storage shows over 50gb being used by 'other', when this is definitely not the case!!Â

On my Iphone4 camera roll i am showing zero photos, but when I connect to Itunes I am showing almost 4GB or space used for photos on mjy phone. When I open IPhoto on my Mac it says all photos have been downloaded to my MAC, but again there is stll storage being occupied on my phone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSince the Belle update, whenever I take a picture I am able to view it in the phone, but when I connect to a PC to transfer the picture in Mass Storage, the pictures are not there. I've looked in both the Mass Memory and Phone Memory folders. I've checked to see if the photo has a saved file name which it does. It finds them in Ovi Suite but I much prefer to use Mass Storage, it's so much easier and quicker to use.
