I have near to 800 images on my cell phone which i can see though esfile explore or quickpic but when i connect it my pc with MTP connection those folders/images are not visible to me.
View 5 RepliesOn Win 7 when I connect my phone to the computer some files and folders don't show up even though they are indeed there. Is this a compatibility or driver issue?
I have rooted and installed the custom recovery everything is working fine, but this is just a little weird.
I think with the latest Google+ Update, it modified the Photos app. Now my only option is to display all photos grouped together whereas before, you could sort by Camera photos, and then look into your different folders. I don't find this useful at all, and really don't want to go back to using the Gallery app.
View 3 Replies View RelatedBought the Nexus 5 I decide to start utilizing cloud storage more but I'm now facing a very irritating problem. In the Photos app when you view backed-up pics they are grouped by date. This is so frustrating since I have a bunch of albums with only one pic.
I have about forty pics people sent to me though WhatsApp and every single pic has it's own album. I have a separate folder for "family" "friends" "dance" things that make sense grouped together. I took the time to curate every pic into specific folders but auto back up jacks everything up.
I am not rooted. I can access my phone through Windows 10. But I cannot see all my folders. The 2 that I am having problems with are my Camera and Music folders. Some of the files are there. When I use ES File Explorer I can see and access them fine. Right now I cannot pull off any of the photos or videos I take. This all happened after upgrading to 6.0.1. I have tried 2 different cables and 2 different computers with the same results. I have made sure that USB Debugging is enabled. I also made sure that I had PTP and MTP enabled. Also upgraded to the latest 6P drivers for Windows 10.

Found another forum where turning the usb from MTP to charging and back under developer options does the trick. I have a non stock ROM and seeing if fresh out of the box experiences the same thing.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a Nexus 6P, which I think is an absolutely brilliant device. Despite this I would like to mess around with it behind the scenes (root, different ROMs etc). Firstly I'd like to edit build.prop.As such as I have installed the Android SDK, installed the relevant things needed such as the USB drivers and platform tools. I've enabled USB debugging in the Developer Settings and ADB works fine when the phone is in normal mode. Booting in to fastboot mode also works.
Unfortunately, when I enter Recovery mode the phone disappears from ADB devices and from Device Manager on Windows. Strangely selecting the sideload option means the device shows up in both places, but I can't use the commands I want.
I've tried various official drivers, unofficial drivers and even edited the official drivers to add my hardware ID with no luck. I'm somewhat new to modern Android so I may be missing something obvious.
I was having Wifi issues on the 6P. Connected to home wifi but no internet. The thing is, the wifi would still work randomly. It's possible that it works most of the time but as soon as I go out somewhere and out of the home wifi range, it sometimes messes up when it tries to reconnect to the network.
And yes, I realize it may not be a phone issue but maybe the router (Asus N66U with Tomato firmware).edit - well, I spoke too soon and I guess it's not the static IP causing the wifi issues.It turns out it was a firewall app called AFWall
I can't get past the checking connection stage on my phone. I live behind great CHinese Firewall. When I first got the phone I set it up at work which has a VPN-ized network. I waited until my holidays (now) to unlock, root, etc.
However, I do not have access to vpns that are router based - only computer based. I can't seem to share these connections to get the Nexus to register and check a connection - phone times out rather than taking suggested 2 minutes. I can't seem to skip the process either. I CAn't get back to work at the moment so I am left with 'Couldn't connect to the Internet' message and of course LTE won't work either as it's behind the great firewall.
How to gain access to my phone?
It says no connection. But I can connect with youtube or google chrome. How do I resolve this item?

I have 697 images but it is showing only 297 images while connecting to PC. The images are there in Nexus 6P but it's not showing in PC. Tried both MTP and PTP, also tried removing and installing new device driver in PC.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having a really weird problem with my phone. The wifi connection is super slow on my Nexus6P, but on my macbook it is fine as it should be. I tested on two more phones, one iPhone and my OnePlus one, wifi works fine on both of them.
I tried restarting my phone and nothing, I did a factory reset on my phone and the same problem still happens.
When I did turned of my router for like 2 minutes and then turned it on again, the wifi connection on my nexus6p worked fine for some minutes and then got slower again.
So I first noticed this bug while trying to charge my phone from one of the USB ports on my computer, while the phone is off. It constantly connects and disconnects to the computer (as indicated by the sounds Windows makes) and the battery icon that flashes while the phone is off and charging keeps coming on and off. Not a major bug, but quite annoying if you have the phone connected while it's off.
I'm running Windows 10 Pro, btw.
On Pure Nexus rom with EX kernel, my battery indicator drops 2% at a time..

I am getting things set up to root my Nexus 6p using a Macbook Pro. I have Android Studio installed & I see the platform-tools folder like the tutorial says. But my phone isn't showing up as a device on my Macbook nor is the terminal command "adb devices" showing it. Need to successfully rooted their Nexus 6p using a Macbook Pro?

You can share from photos without issue. But why in marshmallow can I only share recent photos inside an app.

View 10 Replies View RelatedCurrently the phone has location services on in battery saver mode with location history off. After updating to 6.0.1 or some new version of the phone app I have been unable to search for nearby places in app. The toggles for it have been turned on and off multiple times, turned the phone on and off, played with turning location settings on in different modes with the location history on and off in each scenario. Haven't tried clearing the cache and I don't find it to be a big enough problem to warrant a factory reset.

View 2 Replies View RelatedImporting photos to the Nexus 6P directly from a DSLR camera.I have a Nikon D7000, OTG Type-C USB cable and a standard USB mini cable.Everything physically connects fine, and when I power-on the Nikon, the Google Photos app starts immediately with a "Camera Importer" title bar at the top of the screen. Then within a few seconds, it crashes with a "Unfortunately Photos has stopped" message.
Should this work? It seems like it is close.
I did very briefly once see a message about "MTP" but it flashed so quickly, I couldn't see all of it. I believe that is referring to the Media Transfer Protocol.
I'm used to just having everything on a memory card which is not option here obviously.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I purchased a new nexus 6 a couple months back.. every so often pictures that other people have taken with their camera are showing up in my photos. I thought it might be a Bluetooth thing since I just got a pebble watch, but yesterday I received a picture that was taken at a local park a few miles away. I thought it was maybe a room mate messing with me, but they are just a freaked out by it as I am. It is very disconcerting to know that I am receiving other peoples photos that they have taken with their camera. Are other people getting mine? I can not find anything on the internet that would constitute receiving others camera pictures. I thought it might be an app, but then local people playing disc golf-- their pictures were coming on to my phone.. It has happened a handful of times.. maybe 10 pictures total. I am going to call some sort of customer service tomorrow.

In Yahoo, I have about 30 subfolders under INBOX, and rules establlished to drive the incoming emails to specific folders. When an email comes in that is routed to a subfolder, Yahoo enboldens the subfolder as expected, howeverr the email does not show on my BB. It is unlikely that I will be opening "folders" on my BB every 30 minutes to check all of the subfolders for new email.

A respring usually fixes this, but the last time I resprung it all of my folders disappeared dumping everything onto the springboard. REALLY annoying. Im trying to figure out what is causing it.
