HTC One M8 :: Phone Randomly Vibrates
Jun 5, 2014So here's the deal: every 2-3 hours or so my (somewhat new) phone vibrates in a short burst of 2-3 vibrations.

Apr 16, 2012I've had a 3GS iphone for about a year and a half and just last month it has started to randomly vibrate. Whenever I switch it to silent mode I will set my phone down and the bell symbol will continue to pop up as if I'm switching it on and off of silent mode. Every time the symbol pops up it vibrates. Sometimes it will do it five or six times in a row when it's just laying on a table. How I can make it stop?

Apr 3, 2010As the title says, while my phone is on silent (and even on "All Alerts Off"), my phone somehow seems to vibrate when a phone call comes in. It works perfectly fine on SMS and everything else; it's only a problem for phone calls. I have went into the profile settings and it is set to silent and vibrate off. I even have done a master reset of the phone. So I don't know what the deal is.

Apr 25, 2011My phone is usually set on loud, but at least once a day it randomly stops playing my text message alert sound, and when I get a text, it starts vibrating endlessly and won't stop until I check the message. It's saying that my ringtones are invalid and won't play any of them. It also won't accept picture messages while it's in this mode. I can fix it by taking the battery out and putting it back in, but then I have to wait the 10 minutes it takes to turn back on, and this gets very annoying.

I miss calls all the time at home because I don't hear it vibrate, and it only rings for about 5 seconds. I've downloaded ringers that are 10 seconds, 20 seconds, 30 seconds in length and it doesn't make a difference. Vibrate, vibrate, ring for 5 sec, missed call... Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Apr 3, 2015My M7 keeps randomly freezing while in use. It can happen when using pretty much any app, rarely making a call, texting, on the internet etc. When it freezes it keeps trying to reboot and keeps freezing till I manually shut it down for 10 - 20 minutes then restart it.
Broke down and did a factory reset the other night and tried only installing the bare necessities of apps back on after but problem persisted after a few hours. Warranty is gone so I'm wanting to do all the troubleshooting I can on my own before breaking down and paying for repairs.

Jan 22, 2015I just got an LG G3 last Friday and I've noticed twice now that it has randomly vibrated in succession- with no notifications. It doesn't happen often enough to diagnose the problem myself, so I tried to find something on it but nothing worked. My phone is always on 'Vibrate', but the problem is that no notifications show up. The last two times it has done this, it's been on low-ish battery (30s-40s), but not low enough to get the battery saver notification. I also know it isn't "phantom vibrating" or whatever, because I can hear it vibrate on my desk (out of pocket).

Until about 2 months ago the phone started intermittedly turning off, I would press the power button to switch back on which wouldnt work for about 5 minutes. The phone would work again for 10 minutes and then the same thing would occur
Battery was fully charged, software was all up to date. After advice from customer support I performed a factory reset and the same problems occured
Since then I have put the phone in for repair and it came back after a couple of days with the fix notes of "software reset"
The phone worked again for a couple of weeks but recently has started to do the exact same thing. I've just put it in for repair again after going over all of the same questions and scenario's as I did the first time around

Jan 10, 2015It's a problem that started a few hours ago, my phone will randomly light up and play my ringtone, but it's not an actual incoming call. For a while it also booted the Car Mode at the same time, but I seem to have disabled that for now. When it's in vibrating mode the screen only lights up, but no vibrating. I suppose it should be noted that I did not install any new apps or meddle with any settings.

Things I have done > Factory Reset: I did a factory reset and while I was uploading contacts through kies it restarted.I have used another launcher: it still restarted while I was web browsing. ( did not download any apps for a couple days and problem still persisted randomly due to web browsing) Turned off Google Sync: It seemed to have solved the problem because it did not restart for like 2 days, but while using Pandora it lagged the music and it ended up restarting again.Cleared the cache/cookies: did nothing and still randomly restarted. Removed all facebook applications: problem still persist after a while of use.

Feb 7, 2011I got my Z3 2 months ago. I had no problem charging it before, it used to charge fine but after 3 weeks, it started to act strange during charging process. Even if the phone is plugged in fine, the phone charges for few minutes then stops charging again. The charging LED light turns off and when i check the phone, theres no charging signal. But sometime it charges fine without disconnecting.
I thought it was my charger's problem and i tried 2 more new chargers and its still the same. I was running 4.4.4 when this problem occured so i was guessing maybe it was software related issue. I updated to 5.1.1 but the problem still exists. I am using USB cable to charge it. It happens with both the wall charging and PC charging, I even tried factory resetting but no luck. I don't use wireless charging or any charging dock, only USB cable.

I'm running stock 5.1.1, kernel 3.4.0-gbebb36b, Build number LMY48B. The phone is rooted manually, no automatic trick.
Does randomly reboots means something? Is there a way to see what happens/what happened like an event viewer in Windows?
Google Nexus 5 :: Why Phone Randomly Shutdown
Aug 10, 2015So for the past week I've had the strange problem of N5 randomly shutting down, but ONLY when my screen is on. if I'm listening to music, I can listen until my battery runs out, but if I'm looking up stuff or playing a game, it'll shut down after a few minutes at varying lengths of time(It's a sudden shutdown so my screen just goes black when I'm in the middle of something).
After it has shut itself down and I try to turn it on then it'll turn off after the boot animation and before the lock screen shows. If I want it back on then I can get it start up again if I have it connected to a charger until the lockscreen shows and it'll act like normal(besides the whole random shutdowns)after I unplug it. I also don't have this problem when it's plugged in.
I've tried changing roms, kernels, and flashing the stock firmware with no success. I'm currently on XTraSmooth(Lollipop) with ElementalX 4.04 kernel.
