LG G3 :: Why Does Phone Randomly Vibrate Sometimes
Jan 22, 2015
I just got an LG G3 last Friday and I've noticed twice now that it has randomly vibrated in succession- with no notifications. It doesn't happen often enough to diagnose the problem myself, so I tried to find something on it but nothing worked. My phone is always on 'Vibrate', but the problem is that no notifications show up. The last two times it has done this, it's been on low-ish battery (30s-40s), but not low enough to get the battery saver notification. I also know it isn't "phantom vibrating" or whatever, because I can hear it vibrate on my desk (out of pocket).
Recently I have noticed that my g3 will randomly stop vibrating on tap (haptic feedback) and also at other times stop vibrating when New messages come in. I have already confirmed settings are set correctly and that the vibrate power is turned all the way up. If I soft reset the phone it fixes it. I am assuming this is a software problem bc it can vibrate so that's not hardware right? I have read that others have experienced it but not recently... I am not rooted and I am on a Verizon g3... I already hard reset the phone and it happened again...
My phone randomly starts vibrating and the screen goes unresponsive. I read a post that said to reboot it by pressing the home button and power button at the same time. That stopeed the vibrating and the screen came back on. Is there anything else I should do? Any way to keep this from happening in the future?
Just got a new Nokia 2330, and cannot seem to figure out how to set it to vibrate when I receive calls and texts. Even on the "Vibrate" profile, the phone goes completely slient - no vibrating or ringing!I just want the phone to vibrate (w/o ringing) when receiving calls and texts. Surely this is an option!
I left my sony xperia z3 playing music while I sleep but when i woke up it showed 0% battery and it shut off. I tried charging it and it still won't turn on. I also tried charging it via usb through my pc but still nothing happens. I also tried pressing volume up key and power button while it was plugged in my pc and led turned red and now my pc can detect it but it is unrecognisable. I also tried repairing it via Sony PC Companion but I can't proceed to step 5 where you plug in your phone while holding the volume down button.
I would like for my phone to vibrate only when I receive a new email or text message, but still ring when I get a phone call. I've looked everywhere on my phone settings and it just doesn't seem to work. Don't make this former Droid user regret purchasing an iPhone 4S!
Trying to get a feel for the vibrate mode in my old curve vs my new tour. How can I make my old curve vibrate being that its no longer has a provider attached to it. Any ideas?
Trying to find easiest way to do this and cannot find it. It was easy on Galaxy S3 as it appeared on top of status bar and all you had to do is push to change it. Does the HTC One have a similar button/thing? Is there an app or widget I can download to be able to do this?
My doubt is the next, I turn on the vibrate on alarms and it doesn't vibrate and if I turn off it doesn't vibrate, well, I works correctly when I turn off but when I turn on it doesn't make this correct work.
I’ve been struggling all morning trying to get my S5 to vibrate when icons are tapped on “Vibrate” sound mode to no avail.
Is there anything I can do to enable this feature? Unless I must have dreamed this feature was available all this time along. I swear I have felt my icons vibrate when tapped. Matter of fact, anytime I tapped any icon, I'm sure the phone lightly vibrates to indicate success, when I first had my phone but it's not working any more.
My Torch 9800 has recently started to ring when set to vibrate only - which setting I prefer in business meetings. A reboot by battery removal makes no difference. On 'Silent' setting my phone behaves as it should.
Does anybody know how to make a BB phone (Bold 9700) to have a short vibrate when your call is being answered, so that you don't have to look at the phone or hold it to your ear when making a call?
I have a blackberry curve 8330. The vibrate works well, but anytime I set the phone to normal or loud, it will not ring at all. I can hear the ringtones phone in the media section quite clearly but that's all. I have tried switching ringtones, I have checked all my settings, I have taken the battery out and put it back in, the phone is not on mute. I have even downloaded my own ringtone to the phone and that doesn't work either.
Is there a way to have the phone ring and have all other notifications either silent or vibrating? I use my cell as my primary phone and it would be nice while I sleep to hear the phone ring and not hear all the other sounds the phone makes for notifications and stuff like that.
I had a blackberry prior to this phone and I was able to easily do that with sound options. I don't see the same option with this phone.
My phone is currently set to play a song for my ringtone however it also vibrates which is annoying; I can't figure out how to turn the vibrate portion of my rington off.
I noticed during a meeting today that my phone vibrated when receiving a text, despite the Vibrate toggle for SBS being turned off. Does the Vibrate toggle only apply to the vibrate function when receiving a call, and not when receiving texts?
Phone will not vibrate when receiving Emails (8530). I tried changing and editing the profile for Vibrate only, everything looks right but yet its still doesnt work.
The sound for text messages don't always sound. The phone will vibrate and the sound is turned up but it still won't play. I use Google messenger for texting.
Sometimes when i have my z5 locked and I receive a message my phone don't vibrate and the led light don't go on too. And when i click to unlock it vibrates like I had receive a new message but the message could be from 10 or 20 minutes ago. but this just happens sometimes I don't know why.
