My phone is currently set to play a song for my ringtone however it also vibrates which is annoying; I can't figure out how to turn the vibrate portion of my rington off.

I just recently tried to turn on my phone and it just wouldnt work. It turns on when I plug it into the wall, but only the motorola sign shows up. I tried doing the hard reset by holding down the power and camera, then plugging it in to turn it on, but it only shows the motorola logo, then the screen turns black, then it starts up again to show the motorola logo. Im thinking its either the battery or the software

How do I turn this off? I do not use the phone for anything other than calling and texting; I have no apps or email accounts or google or anything else set up with the phone. I wouldn't even know how to use them, to be honest. I just want silent mode to mean everything is completely silent, no vibrating or anything.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI left my sony xperia z3 playing music while I sleep but when i woke up it showed 0% battery and it shut off. I tried charging it and it still won't turn on. I also tried charging it via usb through my pc but still nothing happens. I also tried pressing volume up key and power button while it was plugged in my pc and led turned red and now my pc can detect it but it is unrecognisable. I also tried repairing it via Sony PC Companion but I can't proceed to step 5 where you plug in your phone while holding the volume down button.

This is getting very frustring to have it vibrate and it's not even discreet (it sounds like a loud buzzing noise on the other end). The person on the other line keeps asking what's that buzzing sound?This ISN'T a feature, in fact it's annoying to people I talk to on the phone and frustrating that I have to tell the other person everytime it's the phone vibrating. I've had my S5 for a year now. I noticed ever since the 5.0 upgrade that i got in April for my ATT S5 that I have been missing calls and texts due to my phone going into silent in my pocket because the dreaded volume keys are able to press themselves in my pocket even with the screen locked and off. I don't see an option to stop this behavior and to me it seems like an OBVIOUS place for there to be an option.
What can I do to stop this? Even worse sometimes it will click up to a high ringtone volume and go off when I am in a meeting at work.
For the past 2 days while my phone is on vibrate mode. It wont vibrate for notifications and sometimes phone calls. Is anyone else having this issue. BTW im still on Gingerbread

The phone will still vibrate and function fine except for ringing or letting me know about alert/alarms. I am on the latest firmware 45.4.13 but this issue has been ongoing for the past 3 firmware upgrades I have done. I have done factore resets multiple times and ran nothing but stock apps for a full month but it contnues to happen. Honestly it does not bother me to remember to reboot by phone each night but i have missed two VERY important calls because I was in another room and did not hear it ring.

I can't seem to get this back.The app I had been using to set volume became too buggy with the last update and it isn't supported well. Anyway I tried to add another gmail acct this morning. And got an error msg "unable to establish a secure connection to server". After trying several times over a few hours, I began to wonder if it was Google or not, so I tried a hotmail account, same basic errror msg. I turned it off by removing the battery as I didn't it to wait the boot process. After that the phone just don't finish booting up. I can see the blur logo, then goes into the at&t logo. It will reboot during a call, texting, charging or any other time it decides to do it. I have done several factory resets and it still does it. It has worked fine for almost 2 years and about a month ago it just started rebooting. There's nothing I've tried that will resolve this problem. The way it looks on the BACKFLIP page its a major problem with a lot of the BACKFLIP phones. This is the second BACKFLIP my family has had the same problem with. My brother just got tired of messing with his and got a new phone. If I could afford the upgrade charges of a new phone I'd do the same thing!

I have vibration strength down to nothing on all notifications, but it still does it. There is no option to turn off vibration in settings for the stock app. I hate having my phone vibrate with the alarm. Or at all really.
