Work 2.4ghz WiFi - Her phone updates Facebook fine. Will not update on mine, but used to work.
I TRIED updating my nokia 5230 by using OVI suite and during update my nokia 5230 suddenly turned off and updating stopped. I disconnected usb cable and tried to turn on the set but it wont turn on. I tried to recharge it and restart it but it also didnt work. Now its still off and I don`t know what to do anymore.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been searching for a fix to my problem that is that since I updated to ICS, "Facebook for HTC Sense" disappeared in the settings menu of "Account & sync" I just have the one just called "Facebook" and if I press Add account it won't show up. The problem is that I can see "Facebook for HTC Sense" in my apps list, and also when I go to a contact profile I can kind of see it. Also, when I link contacts I just can link it to the one called "Facebook" and it really pisses me off, since it never updates and the contact avatars remains the same always.

I tried reinstalling from App world but all in vain.
Fb fine via web and own app timescape updates calls sms etc ok just no fb updates for over a week
browser works on 3g and wifi i've a x10 mini pro on vodafone if that has any effect.when i click to update timescape nothing changes i've updated new version of fb app and restarted phone to no avail
since i updated my blackberry app world my facebook app wont work?

Before I would update my Facebook contacts it but the link to the Facebook profile and updated the photo. Now it's not updating photos and putting a "0" under Facebook field in the contact.
Just upgraded to iOS 7.1.2 to see if it was a bug fixed. You can see a sample on this screenshot below.
My phone has stopped receiving emails and Facebook updates from the Facebook app!! How do I fix this? Receving emails is a big part of the Blackberry's function.

When I heard about the nightmares of lollipop (especially on VZW) I told her to avoid the update. Now, she's telling me that she was just forced to pick a time today for her to update, and at 5 pm tonight it will do it. Is there anything she can do to stop this update? I told her to check in about phone but she said nothing relevant is there. How can they force you into an update that breaks your phone?

Just updated to iOS 5.1, and literally moments after install, first phone call came in, and I answered, the person sounded like she was speaking through an old trucker's CB on his way through Nebraska (no offense). Three days later after resetting, etc., still same issue.
Questions:
1. Is it hardware or software related, and is it just a coincidence that the receiver failed after updating?
2. Is it possible to reinstall an older iOS (like 5.0.1), and if so, how?
Last evening,the i phone battery had died, after charging my 3g iphone, prompts showed a cable (connecting to itunes) update.
So i connected it and ran the update, it said after updating i could restore my contacts and messages. ( Earlier that day we updated our macbook to the osx lion and moved our moble me account to the icloud)
I was not given the option to "restore contacts, messages, information" ( As is customary when updating my iphone)
Note: After the update was complete, ( updated to 4.2.1) IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE 5.1. (BUT that may be because I have an old 3G iphone??)
Then all it offered me was syncing options, so I "sync"ed "it". Now, all my iphone messages, contacts, phone history, purchased apps...... are "GONE'

Yesterday night i connected Xperia X10i to the computer PC Companion popup opens for 2.1 update. I followed the instructions and took backup in the third step after downloading new software while updating a popup window appeared "unable to Update try later" the phone is still connected to the PC and Internet connection is also fine. I have disconnected from PC then it is asking for step 3(switch off phone then press and hold back button step) again did that no Luck. Now the phone is not starting at all I think it formatted all the software..My phone is almost in dead condition. Now if I connected to the PC it is not detecting as a mass storage also and PC companion is not at all recognizing.

Device Manager/USB Root Hub/allow computer to turn off device ...plug in device...It then repats the same process again and again with same instructions. Luckily I had a sim from the service provider who i bought it from which enabled me to turn on the phone. I used guidelines from the net and downloaded redsn0w and then os 4.0 which enabled me to open the redsnow finally and of course connected my iphone to my book pro. i went over all the steps and thought I am done after saw the Cydia icon on my iphone (which disappeared during the update)..the only weird thing is that the cydia icon was white not dark red as usual. then i tried opening cydia and follow the step to go to manage etc and enter the famous URL... the result was i got did not find repository and also later i found out that i cannot see my phone icon on the iphone...

When I click on restore from itunes, it says it will update my software to the newest version, 3.1.3 which I do not want. I want to stay on 3.1.2 so my phone is still able to be unlocked.Anyone know how to get around that, as in restore to factory without having itunes download and install 3.1.3?

A reboot will fix the problem for about 6 hours. I have the weather app scheduled to update every hour. The same thing also happens with my Beweather widget.

I placed my 1020 with charger shell on my charging stand one night before bed and woke up the next morning with the exact same battery reading (maybe a little less even). So I re-positioned it on the charger stand and left it for a few more hours, same results. I then decided to plug the phone in to charge, came back a couple of hours later and the battery indicator still hadn't moved. I thought that this behavior was really strange so I rebooted the phone and lo-n-behold: a fully charged phone. For some reason the battery indicator was not updating properly.
