Aug 2, 2010I know that some third party apps wont work with a flashed phone. But what i cant seem to setup is personal email. I go to setup wizard and go to email setup and i get to the part that says if i have a password for the enterprise activation. And that's as far as i get, cause obviously i don't have a password and this phone is for personal use not business use. Any and all help is appreciated.

Feb 19, 2010I have Blackberry Pearl 8130 Verizon that is full flashed to Metro (web.mms.txt), but when I did the upgrade 65279; I lost the web/email/pix. I got this (your device does not currently have any browser configuration service book entries)
Can you give me step by step instructions on how to get them back? i try with (Resend service books, or options > advanced options > host routing tables > Register Now) but nothing work. i still cant find browser, but before it worked ok
BB Curve 8300 :: Lost Memopad After Updating To V4.5
Apr 3, 2010I recently updated to V4.5, and after the installation, I noticed that lots of things were missing, so I did a restore of my last backup. After restoring my last backup, I still notice that my memopad is missing. When I look at my list of files from the backup, it shows my memos as unavailable because they have been configured for wireless syncronization or wireless backup and are read-only. Is there a way to correct this and restore my memos and memopad?

I have changed nothing that I know of - other than a month+ ago, updated the BB device to the current, but it was still working fine after that upgrade.Last week my entries that I had in my outlook synced to my BB, but were then delted from outllook and I can not get them to sync back to outlook. I have changed the sync settings to sync to one-way and two-way - nothing seems to get them back to my outlook.I have just tried updating destop manager to 5.0.1.37 - still nothing.

When everything was transfered from our old bb i lost all of the games that were on mine but all of his transfered. Is there a way for me to copy the games using either the desktop manager or Bluetooth? Aug 10, 2010Is there any way to prevent my phone (Curve 8310 running OS v4.5) from going into standby mode when it is snapped into a magnetic holster? The BoxWave holster I just bought has a magnet - I can insert the phone either face-in or face-out. But I would like to keep the phone from going into standby mode when inserted face-out so I can simply use the phone while it is in the holster (without having to remove it first). As it is, I can't even answer the phone without taking it out of the holster.

Aug 1, 2010People can call me and it also vibrates and stuff when i receive messages but the only thing i can do is use the voice activation button on the side nothing else works and the screen stays blank. BB Curve 8300 :: New Icon On Phone When Making Calls?
Jan 2, 2010I recently noticed a new icon on my phone that only shows up when making calls. It shows up in the top right hand corner of the screen and looks like the service signal bar graph only reversed w/ the larger bars on the left and getting smaller moving right. They also have a white plus sign at the top of each blue bar, background is a black box. Anybody have any idea what this is for and why it only recently came about?

Feb 23, 2010I got a BB 8310 from my girlfriend. While tryin to update to simply sync my music to the phone, i decided to update the phone's software which has turned into a disaster! While updating, during the screen where it says "DO NOT UNPLUG", the faulty USB cable came out leaving the phone unfinished. Now all the phone does is blink with a red light. It does NOT come on at all. The screen remains black. When its plugged in to the computer now, it doesn't read its a BlackBerry. It says "USB device not recognized".
Now I know that during the installation the phone's system files where probably deleted. And not replaced. So what now? Is there something I can do to have the phone recognized by my computer? It was backed-up before the new installations took place, but does not help because the computer is not recognizing the phone. HELP PLEASE! I would hate to lose my new BlackBerry before I actually get to enjoy it.
BB Curve 8300 :: Email Arriving In Outlook Not On Phone?
Aug 5, 2010Every so often, I check Outlook and notice e-mails that were never received on my Blackberry.Here's what I know:
1) the problem only rarely occurs, so I can't recreate it for others to see
3) a user can send me dozens of e-mails without a problem, then inexplicably one will go missing (so it isn't a single user issue)
4) carrier is Verizon they claim it is Yahoo's issue, because no other e-mails are effected (I use Yahoo Small Business e-mail)
5) Yahoo claims it is not their issue since e-mails are being received in Outlook
6) Outlook is configured to leave all of my messages on the server (it is a pop3 account if that matters)
7) The e-mails are not being received into Spam or any other folder
Here's what I've done (in no particular order):
1) hard reset
2) resent service books
3) added and deleted my e-mail account
4) checked all of my settings
5) re-registered with Verizon
6) threw a tantrum
7) screamed wildly at my co-workers for no reason
8) drank a few beers
9) broke up with my girlfriend
10) took a nap

Jun 5, 2010I was having trouble accessing most websites (although I could get email via the university system where I work), so I tried the wireless upgrade/update that was suggested. After I did that, I lost everything - phone, text, and Internet. My calendar is wiped out, as is my contacts. When I try to "turn on" mobile services, it does not turn on. Verizon is not even listed as my service provider. It is as if it cannot find a service provider and therefore, will not make a connection.

Aug 11, 2010I have a Curve 8330 on the Sprint network. About a day and a half ago I stopped receiving my emails on my phone. I can't send email either. SMS, MMS, Blackberry messenger all work fine. My email account works fine if I log in through the browser. My wife has the same phone and also has a hotmail email account and hasn't had any problems.Any ideas on how to fix this?

Ring tones, incoming text message beeps, etc. just stop working.When I go into the sounds options to preview ringtones, etc. and click play, the play button goes from play, to stop, immediately, regardless of how long the tune is supposed to be.The only thing I've found to fix it, is to pull the battery.
