I'm new to Android, and I just recently got this phone (HTC One M8) I would like to add another widget to the lock screen main panel, but everyone I try to add a new widget it creates a new panel and puts the widget there instead of the main panel, How do I go about adding more widgets to main panel lock screen?
View 3 RepliesI just upgraded from the RAZR to the RAZR Maxx HD and I am loving it.I have, though, missed some features and options and was hoping I was overlooking them.First, I noticed that you can add new home panels but is there a way to select which panel you want as the main home screen?Also, I loved the fact that in my RAZR I could customize app categories in the app menu.Is there an option for this in the RAZR HD?I know there is a favorites panel but I loved having a news, shopping, and travel panel as well.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIt's really annoying how my phone somehow can't view the notification panel where to turn off WiFi and Bluetooth on the lock screen. The Galaxy s4 and the Galaxy s6 and some other Galaxy s5 has it but why doesn't my phone have it? Because I have sprint? I can't scroll down from the top of the lock screen, nothing happens.

Here lately the quick setting toggle panel will randomly appear on my lock screen.(drop down settings in notification panel) The only way to get it to disappear is to hit the power button , then reactivate the lock screen again.

Since the update all of this has gone. I can't do anything without unlocking the phone. In security there is no longer an option for allowing lock screen widgets. How do I correct this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, using the Moto screen that displays notifications, I swipe to unlock, then get another unlock for the main lock screen. Ergo, I have to swipe twice to unlock. Is there any fix other than no unlock? This leaves the phone open until the Moto screen takes over.

I'm running it with the WanamLite Rom, which by the way I find very cool.On my S3 I was able to access a specific home screen panel directly by tapping the corresponding dot in the home screen. On the S6 it seems this is not possible anymore and you are forced to swipe. Is there any way (setting/mod/customization) to have the home screen panel dots to behave as they used to?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've recently made the switch back to android from an iPhone after quite a few years and I'm trying to re-familiarize myself with android's operating system and work out what I need to change and using this phone I noticed the notifications lacking, so I set up DashClock and DashNotifier and so far I love it. It does exactly what I want it to do for all the apps I have set up with it except for the notifications coming through the 'Messages' app on the phone for text messages.
When receiving a text message my lock screen ignores that I've set up DashClock as my default lock screen and pulls up the original lock screen with the quite ugly 'New Message' notification (as seen in the attached picture). If I scroll to the right DashClock is open and showing the message notification just fine. I've tried to disable the lock screen notifications for the 'Messages' app but haven't been successful in removing it. Is there a way to just have the 'Messages' app give lock screen notifications on the top bar and none like in the image below, or is there a work around within DashClock/DashNotifier or some other application that would fix this? My phone is running Android 4.4.2.
I don't kwon what's happaned, but on unlock screen the touch panel doesn't work, it looks like a android crash. I tried to do the factory reset, but I did the sequence on manual and doesn't work.

Sometimes that isn't long enough -- I'm waiting for a specific thing to happen that I want to photograph, like the start of a sporting event, and reopening the camera app is a pain.

1) no notifications are displayed on my lock screen even for missed calls or sms's .. there is no any icon or symbol that informs me if i have missed any call or received a message ; and i have to unlock my phone every time to check
in the Settings -> Sounds and Notifications -> i selected the option to show all the notifications.. but nothing changed
2) also on the lock screen , not widget for the walkman or the sound cloud to enable me to pause the players or to navigate to the next song
Did my software update the other day and apart from noticing the battery tends to run out quicker than previously, I have a new issue.
Put my phone onto charge last night with phone turned off. Don't normally do that but kept getting FB notifications. Turned phone on this morning and noticed several widgets missing from my home screen. There are gaps where widgets were but now they are missing. They are still on the phone as they're visible on the other screen where all my apps are.
According to Nokia's user guide for the C6-01, I should be able to press and hold on the home screen for the Add shortcut option to appear. It doesn't. Instead I am given the option to only add widgets. Can some please tell me how I can add apps to the home screen, or at least transfer them from another screen

I am enjoying the phone but as I am not an internet social networker I would love to remove the "Add a social network" widgets from my homescreen. View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had every iphone and I got my I4 on launch day. Since then, the two big Android devices came out (Evo/Droid X). I've always been a gadget geek, so I went and checked them out. For the most part, they are both pretty impressive. I'm not ready to give up my iPhone...yet, but there are a couple of things that I really liked that I wish the iPhone would incorporate:
1- widgets
I get the feeling that the droid desktop is "alive" and some of the widgets are really useful. I know it's cliche'd, but the weather widget is really cool. If a storm is approaching, the desktop clouds up. This type of stuff isn't for everyone, but it would be nice to have the option. It makes the standard iPhone desktop feel a little stale.
2- bigger screen
I thought the Evo would be way too much of a slab, but it really didn't feel too big to me. I absolutely love the I4 Retina display, but after playing with the Evo, I really think that Apple needs to offer two options in the future. The "standard" iPhone screen and a slightly larger version for those of us that want that.
Lately I've been noticing that the displayed time on my home screen widget is inaccurate. A simple tap on the widget seems to rectify things but it's weird. I'm using Transparent Weather Clock but I also noticed the same thing using the 3D Flip Clock widget.
Interestingly, my wife is using the Note 2 and she's having the same problem.
As this is happening with multiple widgets on multiple phones I feel safe in assuming that it's not related to the devices themselves or the widgets per se.
Just updated to Belle this morning & having a problem installing widgets/shortcuts to the home-screen. It worked at 1st but now it stalls & the little circle just keeps spinning forever & does not do anything.
