View 2 RepliesWhen I had my 8310 curve there were a crapload of options in the brower settings and one of them was to select which type of brower it viewed the webpage as, (blackberry, IE, etc.)
anyways, I'd like to know if this option still exists, because I'm trying to access a mobile website but its coming up as the full website. When I tried putting an m. in front of the website it didnt work so I'm not sure how to access it.
When i'm using the browser the Blackberry Logo Button doesn't seem to work. If I hold it I can switch programs but it wont open the menu where the options are. The button works fine with other applications! I tried wiping the blackberry but it's just not making any difference! I'm so frustrated, I only got the phone the other day!

View 1 Replies View RelatedHaving a problem with my Yari and selecting internet settings - the phone simply won't select any internet settings! Everytime a connection is made to the internet, the phone asks for me to choose what internet settings to install.I have sent the settings to the phone from both Sony Ericsson (SE) Website and Optus (operator in Australia). I receive these ok, but settings don't install. No issue with streaming settings.
The phone will not connect to the operator to download settings for MMS/WAP/Internet.
It is similar in nature to this older post:
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=136116#post1833827
Steps taken to attempt to resolve:
1. Manual internet settings
2. Operator provided internet settings
3. SE provided internet settings
4. Master reset
5. repeat steps 2 and 3 - same issue.
SE in Australia suggested Master Reset and then code update, which I will try tonight. Other than that, return to retailer.Any one have any suggestions? Hardware or software fault?
wondering if anyone could explain all the different Internet Browser Settings for the LG Chocolate Touch as i don't fully understand what they're all for. and what settings do you recommend? also, if anyone knows how to avoid going to another site(verizon site) to enter a webpage address..

View 1 Replies View RelatedMainly happens while on facebook mobile, and will occure while typing completely randomly. The reply from support is simply update software, I can't see why I have to do all this, as apart from anything else I don't currently have a phone line for internet due to illegal BT sales activity! It is also suggested that I send phone off in a jiffy bag to be repaired if unsuccessful, and what do I do for a phone in the mean time?? Not only that they suggest that it will cost me if it is not a fault they cover.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhile browsing I have stumbled on two sets of settings, that i can't find any more:
1. battery saving settings...not just "make sure to turn off unused apps". I mean "go to menu options and select..." .
2. internet browsing settings...similar to above, but geared toward browser settings.
In the "message settings' option menu, "e-mail settings" isn't available. I have managed to set up several email accounts by simply going into the 'email" option in the "messaging" menu, but I can't set the phone to check for emails automatically or to notify me of new emails, etc, etc, in other words, I have no menu option, for adjusting the settings for emails. I am running the latest version of the software
version 10.60.
I update my iphone 4 to ios 5.1.1 ,after update ios i am unable to find APN settings for EDGE/GPRS settings?

There is no "Voicemail settings" in the "Call settings" section. It seems like a first page of Call settings is missing because at the top of the list it says "Call settings", then immediately under that it says "Other call settings".

View 7 Replies View RelatedThe browser on my Nokia 701 is great -certainly much better than past versions- but websites 'see' it as a full size browser and so deliver it full size web pages. I have found this leads to much dragging and zooming. If the site also has pop-ups (which can fully obscure the screen!) this can lead to misclicks, impossible to navigate sites etc. Also full size webpages are slow to load and more expensive on data.
This issue has led me to either manually navigating to the mobile versions of the websites I like (bit of a pain) or to simply use the Opera Mini browser instead. The Opera browser is free and websites 'recognise' it as a mobile browser. This means without any work when I surf I instantly get the mobile version of the website I want (assuming one exists), easy to navigate and fast (and so cheaper) to load. In many cases this works much better for me.
So I think Nokia have missed a trick here. Maybe they should offer a feature whereby the user can tell their browser to find either mobile-friendly pages or normal ones. They could even add in a second browser shortcut, one which launches the Nokia browser in a 'mobile' mode.
Now running a 701, beautiful phone to handle and use...now that it has stopped sending my personal information to Nokia via 360Panel [rolls eyes]
