Aug 30, 2015I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S6, but I'm not satisfied with this purchase.
In fact, the smartphone, from the beginning, showed different annoying problems, like:
- It shuts down randomly, when I press the home button to turn on the screen. Before it shuts down, the screen shows some weird horizontal grey lines for a couple of seconds;
- When I surf on the internet with Google Chrome, often the screen shows strange colorful flickerings, making it impossible to do research on Google
- The screen randomly becomes pink, and I have to change the brightness level in order to fix it.

Jun 19, 2015My Nexus 5 screen while plugged in has gone completely black, like it's off.
I've tried holding the power button, holding power+volume up, and power+both volumes.
All that happens is a mini vibrate every 10 seconds or so (like the vibrate that occurs when the word Google normally appears) but absolutely no light on the screen...it remains black.
About a month ago the screen/digitizer was replaced because the thing had a mind of its own, clicking everywhere randomly. Until today it was working flawlessly. Twice today it started lagging, forcing me to power off/power on. That worked both times, but now this has happened.

Turned phone back on and everything was ok except the screen wont turn off regardless of the time out option I have set which is at 1 minute. I tried everything from restoring and brightness control. Again my phone is unlocked at 3.0. Also when I restored my phone before I synced it to ITunes it worked fine. But after it synced with the backup it stopped working again.

Jan 3, 2012Recently my battery on my phone was about to die.I turned of the phone to save the remaining battery I had..When I turned it on again it vibrated like it usually does...But the screen never turned on..I've tooken out the bettery, placed it in the phone again, and its the same thing..It vibrates and no responce from the screen...I've put it to charge for a few hours: did the same thing again and no responce..If anyone know how to fix this let me know. Or at least something more than I already know.

Mar 22, 2015For the last few weeks, my phone has been shutting off at about 20%. When I turn it back on, it says that there's absolutely no battery left. It's not rooted or anything. I did a hard reset on it last week, but that only worked for a few days. I've had the phone for a year and a half (actually, even when it was new, it never had the battery life it was supposed to have). What should I do? Resetting every couple of weeks does not sound fun. If I root my phone, will I have more options?

I doubled checked options and I have "Backlight Timeout" set to 30sec.
Even when I "lock" the phone using the upper left key, it turns back on within about 20 seconds. Very odd.

Mar 6, 2014Battery life is worse than pathetic. Just a few calls a day, and what I consider average app use (music usually plugged in charging), and with the camera grip (with aux battery) and tonight it started flashing "Battery critically low". Fully charges it overnight, every night. With the camera grip you'd think it'd last longer but it's getting worse. No background apps and I've tweaked the settings to minimal power usage (per a site I found on which things to turn off, etc.). By late morning it's usually close to 60% battery and keeps going down.
To make matters worse, now, we can't shut down the phone. When we try, it says Goodbye, blanks out, and turns right back on and boots up again. Over and over. We can't turn it off.
I'm thinking a phone reset might be in order. If so, I'm hoping things would get restored from the backups? We have apps+settings, text messages, and photos set to "Backup On". Unsure what the difference is between a hard reset via button presses, and doing a RESET PHONE from the settings menu?

HTC One M7 :: All Browsers Randomly Shut Down And Return To Menu Screen
Mar 9, 2014In the last couple of days I have been unable to use any browser on my HTC One (9 months old and never had a problem before).
I had been using the default browser or Chrome. Now when I try to use them they randomly shut down and return to the menu screen. This usually happens within a few seconds of opening and is not linked to any action I'm making.
I tried installing Opera and Firefox but both have the same issue.
Other symptoms I've noticed:
- Keyboard takes ages to appear and often disappears after I have entered only one character in the address/search
- Phone has slowed down
- Battery life has fallen dramatically (running power saver and lasting less than a day where it had been fine previously)
I recently updated Chrome but not sure if the 2 are related. I'm running android 4.3 and HTC Sense 5.5.
