View 13 RepliesI set up my glance screen with no problem. However, when I try to double-tap to wake up the phone it doesn't work. There's probably a setting that I need to access but I haven't found it yet. I think it's odd that it would be off by default.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI went to my local at&t store over the weekend to check out the 950 and noticed it wouldn't wake with a double tap, I couldn't find it in the settings so I just figured the setting was buried somewhere but it was verified by 950 users on they're forum that its not in the new OS..

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I guess it's true the Icon does not support double tap to wake? I can't find the option anywhere in settings.
View 19 Replies View RelatedAt time i have to double tap 4-5 times before my Lumia 1020 reacts and wakes up. And it can be really slow. My previous Lumia 820 had no issues with this what so ever, it work up instantly and i never had to do multiple double taps.
It's actually completely useless like this (since it ain't double tap but sometimes tap'extravaganza).
I am running Lumia Black build 3051.40000.1345.10285
The double tap to open quit working it was working for me on my Nokia Lumia 1020 don't know if I turned it off some how can't seem to find it it the settings

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have been experiencing some pretty bad battery life with my 1020. It was getting to the point that with moderate use it was in battery saver mode within 8 hours. I shut off many background tasks, turned off 2 of my 4 email addresses and did some testing. In standby mode the phone dropped from 69% to 55% in about a half hour after a restart. Exasperated I turned off Double Tap to Wake after noticing the 'drains battery' warning. I then charged the phone and went to sleep. Today, with similar usage as normal (about an hour of streaming music, 2 push email accounts, web browsing, texting, etc.) I made it 8 hours and only dropped 39%.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI open a new document in Word (via Office365) and start typing (tapping). I tap the enter field. Works makes a double spacing. I want only one. I can't see how to change it. Format is unexplainable small in wp.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've seen many people claim that enabling 'double tap to wake' will drain your battery faster. On the settings page where you enable this setting, Nokia even says "this reduces battery life". I tried to measure it myself. After doing a number of normal discharge cycles with the feature enabled, I did one with it disabled. I didn't change any other settings. I used the phone normally in both runs - very similar usage.
I found that disabling this setting produced no significant change in battery life. In both runs that I compared, my battery level was at about 20% after about 3 days. See the attached graphs for my results. The first graph is with the setting on. After just a little under 3 days it was very close to 20%. The second graph is with the setting off. After exactly 3 days it was a little above 20%. These results are not exactly the same but I don't think they're significantly different. Not as different as I was expecting.
Battery life is worse than pathetic. Just a few calls a day, and what I consider average app use (music usually plugged in charging), and with the camera grip (with aux battery) and tonight it started flashing "Battery critically low". Fully charges it overnight, every night. With the camera grip you'd think it'd last longer but it's getting worse. No background apps and I've tweaked the settings to minimal power usage (per a site I found on which things to turn off, etc.). By late morning it's usually close to 60% battery and keeps going down.
To make matters worse, now, we can't shut down the phone. When we try, it says Goodbye, blanks out, and turns right back on and boots up again. Over and over. We can't turn it off.
I'm thinking a phone reset might be in order. If so, I'm hoping things would get restored from the backups? We have apps+settings, text messages, and photos set to "Backup On". Unsure what the difference is between a hard reset via button presses, and doing a RESET PHONE from the settings menu?
I'm starting to get sick of this feature and i want it off. I have yet to find where it can be disabled. Is it possible to turn it off? How?

I entered the password and it went to the home screen, then shut down. It sat dark for a second then showed the AT&T Logo, and then went black again. It's been about an hour, and if the battery were dead it should have already shown the battery symbol. I tried powering it on,

View 18 Replies View RelatedI have a 9530 storm that I purchased two months ago, It worked quite fine until a few weeks ago. It started double clicking and freezing at the same time. For example, lets say i want to enter the sms option, i would click it, but clock would open instead. Also if i try to scroll up or down, there will be no response....... This is quite annoying to me because i am trying to run a business using the phone as a communication medium. I read a million forums all saying to check memory, close apps etc but its a fairly new phone, i have no second gen apps, and internal memory of 41mb, so im baffled.

I like having the Facebook integration throughout the Lumia 950 xl, except for the birthdays in my calendar which, with hundreds of Facebook birthdays, clutters up my calendar. It looks like the interaction is only on or off for the phone without any individual settings, any way to keep the Outlook calendar from including Facebook birthdays without having to delete them individually or shutting off the Facebook integration entirely?

Basically i am getting the 'double click' thing on my storm2 once a day atleast. I upgraded the OS recently but its still doing it. Sometimes if i hit the screen hard it will start working which suspects me to beleive theres dirt under or around the screen itself? But if i remove the battery the screen then starts to work, which leads me to beleive its the software.
What is it? is it common? how can i fix it its driving me insane.
I've tried apps and looked through my settings and nothing seems to work either that or I'm over thinking so in turn over looking something....
