The main screen on my Iphone 4 seems to be locked. I have to double tap icons to open. In the keypad screen I have to double tap numbers to dial. I have tried to reset using both the back button and the power button.

I'm working with a friend this morning whose iPhone 4 is in a strange mode. When any icon is pressed - whether it's an icon for an app, the battery symbol, the slide unlock, etc... a border appears around the icon when pressed and icons will not open unless double tapped. The phone is also running unusually sluggish.

So for example when I go into Safari and if I were to go on the search bar it won't do anything its the same with the app store and every app that has a search bar at the top of the page. I also cannot open my instagram direct messages at the top of the screen. The screen will respond in the home menu but not in apps. The iphone was second hand so it could be dodgy but I wouldn't have thought it would be because of that.(iphone is running ios 7.1.1)

View 8 Replies View RelatedFirst off when I take my phone out of lock or wake up it from sleeping the icons are missing till i wipe my finger across the screen.. its weird to explain but its kinda like i have to swipe the whole screen for the icons to be visable the same thing happens when my phone goes to sleep and the keyboard is open.. any ideas?
and another thing is sometimes ill be writting a msg and my phone will make 3 beeping prompting type of noise any idea what this is?

As per the recent update to my device bold 9900 to 7.1 bundle 1149, but I had a problem in my bb app world which opens normally but do not shows any software icon images at all. I believe that it has been stopped behind some firewall, as when I try to open it from wireless network I can open it smoothly but only when I try to open it from my blackberry service it cud'nt open.I had no prb with my previous version when it was working on my phn smoothly but only it was a latset update I updated and it had this problem.

I have a 9530 storm that I purchased two months ago, It worked quite fine until a few weeks ago. It started double clicking and freezing at the same time. For example, lets say i want to enter the sms option, i would click it, but clock would open instead. Also if i try to scroll up or down, there will be no response....... This is quite annoying to me because i am trying to run a business using the phone as a communication medium. I read a million forums all saying to check memory, close apps etc but its a fairly new phone, i have no second gen apps, and internal memory of 41mb, so im baffled.

I turned on my 3G network this morning, and again, everything's going perfectly fine with my connection. I came home around half 4 from school and decided to turn on my WiFi connection at home, what I've realized is that whenever I try turning on my WiFi network, the little sign that's usually at the top doesn't appear anymore. I tried resetting the network settings and closing and opening my phone, but.. This didn't really make any difference.I have tried reconnecting to my WiFi but nothing happened, my Bluetooth's never really turned on.
