i have 2 htc diamond, and the one i am using the earpiece is quite low, so can i switch out the ear piece from the phone i am not using, will it damage anything on the phone, bc its hard to hear the other person on the other line when i am using the phone,
View 1 RepliesMy Sprint/Metro PCS HTC Diamond's touch screen all of a sudden stopped responding.If it had a keyboard like the PRO would've been no problem but NO KEYBOARD.Even though I did a PIM backup and had my old PRO handy and now connected I really want to see if I can get it back to life!!I opened it yesterday (thinking maybe it got loose and I could "just" connect it right) and could not get all the way to the screen so I decided to leave it alone, for now..Googled and all I got was GMS videos and stuff so I was wondering that maybe someone here has done it and could help me get to the screen and replace it...

I had to return this unit and received a refurbished one which I've been using for about 10 months with no issues but the windows update doesn't work.upon calling my carrier (Rogers), the guy told me they recommend I not update it from the handset rather I should do it through the PC.How important is updating the device? And where could I find it online?

I believe the guy who did this for me used these programs to do so. Anyway, the problem I'm having is that although my phone is active on the network and I have a data plan active, I can't actually use it for some reason. I've entered the correct username/password (from what I've researched) and it still hasn't worked. I've tried to fix it myself for a few months to no avail (I came across the link about during my research and that's how I concluded that these were the programs installed on my phone). If anyone could help me with alternatives or maybe show me something I might be overlooking.

I´ve had my Iphone 4s since january and have use a cable to extract audio to play it in the car. A couple of days ago I took the earphones that came with the phone and started using them.
Everything sounded good, podcasts, songs, games. Yesterday I used an application called brainwaves that is a sound generator (alpha, beta, etc. waves). After that, I tried to listen to more music and noticed that the sound on the right earpiece is distorted.
I tried closing all application, reseting the phone, I even restore it with Itunes, and it is the same. I tried some other earphones without the control switch, and the noise-distorition dissapears. I connect the cable to listen music in the car, and the problem is there.
I tried different songs and podcast, and the problem is still there. Is this a problem with the output jack? the earphones? software?

My Motorola Atrix 4G unlocked was purchased recently online from ebay USA. Its still in warranty. The phone is with me in India.
The phone woked fine for a month. But now I can not hear through the Phone's earpiece. This problem developed suddenly one day without any warning. I did not drop the phone or bang it against anything. I can hear through phone speaker, bluetooth headset or regular wired headphones but not through the earpiece.
I then upgraded the phone software thinking it might be a software issue. But it didnt work.
How to find a fix for the low earpiece volume during a call?I have had the phone to a couple of shop repairers, but to no avail.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a storm 2 9520 unlocked from Vodafone UK, now with T-Mobile. Ever since I have had it the sound quality from the earpiece has been terrible. It sounds all crackly similar to a blown home stereo speaker. I cant return it as I bought it from a private seller on e-bay about 5 months ago.
I have played with all the audio adjustments and taken the top cover off and cleaned the eapriece speaker of all debris and dirt. I have had only one phone call where the sound quality was perfect but that was it. Even on 5 bars and 3G its still sounds rubbish. I've tried only selecting 2g coverage - still no joy. The max signal I get on 5 bars and 3G is approx -77 Dbm's I have wiped the phone with JL_Cmdr and am now running OS 5.0.0.713. how to fix this as it apears to be a software rather than a physical problem.
I've had an iPhone 3G for one year and a half. I Opened it up a few months ago to change the back cover, which was broken; and I broke a bit the plastic piece of connector 3 of the mother board (see at the Attached image); However, It worked perfectly... Until now, that I've reopened my iPhone to change again the backcover (false covers aren't very good...), and when I finished... Noticed that the earpiece is not working! I can't hear anything while calling! I know that the connector 3 of the screen is the cause, because proximity sensor isn't working neither...
But my question is:
Is there any way to know which part of the "connector 3" has been broken? The MoBo, or the Screen Flex? Because if it's the second, I can replace it for a few bucks, but if not... :S Or... Is there any other connector that I could damage or put badly, so they are doing contact with wrong pieces, etc etc? Notice that I had to disarm the whole iPhone to change the cover... So perhaps.
Earpiece and proximity sensor do not work. I can hear people fine when they are on speaker. The screen does not turn off when I place my hand over it.

Suddenly the mouthpiece and earpiuece stop working as I am unable to listen to incoming calls and the reciever of my call is unable to listen to me. The phone rings fine but there is no voice. Even when I am making a call, I dint hear the ring tone whereas the reciever phone is ringing. This problem can be resolved by wiping all my data (format) and reactivating my enterprise account.
