not sure if what i am trying to do is possible, but it has kept me busy. I have a functioning htc touch diamond, and an older a920. i believe i have extracted all the usable info on the diamond esn. etc. I am trying to get the a920 to work when my diamond is shut off, and vice versa....am i looking up a dead horses a$$, or is this possible.
I have a Samsung A920 There are lots of posts on how to hack the phone and use your own ring tones. One of the programs that you are to use is called GCD Maker All the posts to this program do not work and I have googled it as well with no luck.
Recently I had my Spring HTC Touch Diamond modified and programmed to work with the Page Plus Cellular carrier, which uses the Verizon network. I believe the guy who did this for me used these programs to do so. Anyway, the problem I'm having is that although my phone is active on the network and I have a data plan active, I can't actually use it for some reason. I've entered the correct username/password (from what I've researched) and it still hasn't worked. I've tried to fix it myself for a few months to no avail (I came across the link about during my research and that's how I concluded that these were the programs installed on my phone). If anyone could help me with alternatives or maybe show me something I might be overlooking.
My iPhone screen shut off and the phone has been vibrating for the last hour. None of the buttons work...holding down the Power+Home buttons does nothing, connecting it to the computer does nothing. The phone has gotten very hot from the constant vibrating.
I did the jailbreak earlier. Only installed SBSettings and did an update in Cydia that it said was available. That's it.I did also have AdMob ads in Settings for some reason so obviously something else got installed on there but how/when?
I was charging my phone while using it and it suddenly shut off. Whenever I try to turn it on the welcome screen "samsung powered by android" comes up for 1 second and then goes black and nothing else happens. I've had the phone for about 8 months and never rooted or installed any software other than official updates. I was just playing a game while it was charging when it stopped working.
every combination of buttons i press even the factory reset gives the same result, the welcome screen for 1 second and then nothing. I was able to get to the OS change warning screen though but when i cancel it goes back to the welcome screen problem. Charging it shows the charging symbol going on and off every second.
i have 2 htc diamond, and the one i am using the earpiece is quite low, so can i switch out the ear piece from the phone i am not using, will it damage anything on the phone, bc its hard to hear the other person on the other line when i am using the phone,
i'd only used the sgs2 for a couple of days before going on holiday for a couple of weekshile away i turned off data roaming (there was wifi where i was staying)ll advertised sw updates had been appliedhe sgs2 was repeatedly shutting down - not rebooting, powering off - sometimes 4-5 times in a single daya couple of times it did this just as i pressed the home key - the screen would light up, but in less than a second it went black - the phone had turned offit happened when on battery, it happened when plugged into the charger, in a case, out of a case, in my pocket, sitting on a tableried lots of things, deleting apps, reset, etc., no difference'd turn it on when i noticed, by chance i found that sometimes it powered up with data roaming enabled, all by itself, annoying, i disabled it again, then always checked after each shut down, maybe one in 4-5 times it restarted with roaming enabledow that i'm back in the uk, no more problems, hasn't shut down once in three dayssim is vodafone, the network the phone roamed to was vodafone spainaside from roaming, and turning off data roaming, nothing else changed
My Sprint/Metro PCS HTC Diamond's touch screen all of a sudden stopped responding. If it had a keyboard like the PRO would've been no problem but NO KEYBOARD.Even though I did a PIM backup and had my old PRO handy and now connected I really want to see if I can get it back to life!!I opened it yesterday (thinking maybe it got loose and I could "just" connect it right) and could not get all the way to the screen so I decided to leave it alone, for now..Googled and all I got was GMS videos and stuff so I was wondering that maybe someone here has done it and could help me get to the screen and replace it...
I have the Touch Diamond and with the first handset I got I was able to update windows from the device with no issues. I had to return this unit and received a refurbished one which I've been using for about 10 months with no issues but the windows update doesn't work.upon calling my carrier (Rogers), the guy told me they recommend I not update it from the handset rather I should do it through the PC.How important is updating the device? And where could I find it online?
As you all know the battery life is garbage. I occasionally have to charge it 3 times in one day, and it takes like 4hrs to fully charge.I've read there are some extended batteries which could potentially damage your phone so which is the best?my carrier is Rogers and like the diamond cut back cover.
My phone is fully flashed to Cricket.Everything works but I can't send pictures. I am running the MightyROM Rhodium MNB.Can anyone hep me out and tell me what is wrong?
I have an HTC Touch Diamond through Sprint. The camera randomly stopped working (just a black screen). Everything else works fine. I tried a hard reset and that didn't help.Is there anywhere I can get a repair estimate? I tried Sprint corporate and they couldn't do it.
im new to forum and been reading about how to convert my sprint htc diamond to boost. I got so confused and need guide, or help from someone. Im current boost customer and have iden.
I will admit I am in no way a techie, but I'm not too much of an idiot either (at least on good days!).I currently have an iPhone. My husband got it for me because I love my Mac and wanted a phone that would sync my music, calendar and contacts with minimal frustration. However, the iPhone is more than I really need and AT&T's coverage is horrendous in my area.I am thinking of switching to Verizon and I believe the Samsung Reality would suit my needs as a phone.Does anyone know if I will be able to get it to cooperate with my Mac?I am not averse to work-around and third party apps as long as they come with clear technophobe friendly instructions.Any information or suggestions would be welcome.
I just got my kid a Samsung Evergreen with AT&T. It doesn't have a 3.5mm headphone jack - just the microUSB port.On her previous phone - which had a miniUSB port - I had bought a miniUSB to 3.5mm headphone adapter and it worked fine. Before buying a microUSB to 3.5mm adapter, I wanted to test with a mini-to-micro adapter that I have. So the connection is headphones to 3.5mm jack to miniUSB to microUSB to Evergreen. But the sound played through the speakerphone!Would a microUSB to 3.5mm adapter work?
The first time I tried to use it it did work (unfortunately I couldn't see how to turn it off and turned the entire phone off to stop the alarm). Since then after playing around with it quite a bit and a visit to the shop I just can't get the alarm to work. I can't see anything is turned off or down.
Every time I set an alarm, it goes off, but complelty silent. I keep my phone on mute at night because I don't want to hear anything. But the Alarm, used to go off even though on mute. Here what I've done so far.
Settings > Sound and Notification> Application Notifications > Clock > Priority (Set to On) Settings > Sound and Notification> Application Notifications > Interruptions Sound Mode = Mute Set priority interruption period: Here, I selected every day, and start time of 12:00AM and a End time of 11:59PM.
I thought these settings would cover me, but the Alarm still, does not sound. How to get the Alarm working when the phone is set on Mute Mode?
I have read stuff where people are doing this right now, and other posts saying it is impossible. I want the truth! I am ready to switch to Cricket anyways because I'm tired of paying $90 month for verizon when I can get the same stuff from Cricket for half, but I'm dreading both buying a Cricket phone and losing my Omnia (i900). I asked at the retail store if I got it unlocked could I use it since both are CDMA carriers and the guy didn't seem too informed. Also, another store rep told me that some markets were able to do that but my market (DC/Northern VA) would not support a verizon flashed phone. So what's the truth? If I get it unlocked can I get it to work on Cricket?
I just got a Samsung Moment. Previous phone, a Palm Pre, connected to my WiFi without a single problem. Just typed in the password once and from then on it never gave me trouble. But the Moment wouldn't work with WiFi at all for the longest time. It would see the network and let me type in the password, but the WiFi status would always say "Disconnected" and there was never an icon in the notification area. Finally I managed to get it working by switching my router from mixed mode to 802.11g only (it's a combination DSL modem/router, made by Actiontec, with 802.11b and 802.11g). Now it seems to work perfectly. I was just wondering if anyone else had similar problems, perhaps with mixed mode g/n? Maybe it's just my router, but I'm curious. At least I didn't have to make any sacrifices other than disabling 802.11b, which I don't need anyway.
I have my car paired with my S2 Bluetooth. The other day I connected the speaker out on the S2 to the audio-in on the car stereo. I received a call while listening to an audio book on the phone. The car muted the audio in and answered the call. I could not hear the person calling. I think the phone was trying to send the sound out the speaker rather than the Bluetooth. When I don't have the phone speaker connected, Bluetooth works correctly.
I have a T-Mobile galaxy S II. not rooted or anything fancy. About a month ago I noticed that the four bottom buttons Search, back, home and menu. I tried turning it off and back on, taking the battery out and all that. However randomly they turned back on. They worked for a few days then did it again. It has been doing it on and off all month. A few times I was able to get them to come back on by shutting it off and plugging it in and turning it back on. Now that's not working at all. Iv done a factory reset still not able to get them back on. Now I can see that when I turn off the phone it goes to the t-mobile good bye screen then the lights blink for a sec then shut off. I've tried to do the *#1234# thing and it says its running the ussd scan but then says the process can not be processed.
I've had this phone for 3 weeks. When I turned it on this morning it no longer was able to make noises from its external speaker. I missed a call because the phone didn't play the ring tone. I also noticed it doesn't work with speaker phone and pandora does not play music. I tried a factory reset from the settings - privacy menu but it didn't resolve the issue. I have sprint and the phone was purchased from newegg.
I don't believe it! after an hour it randomly started making noises again.. I didn't change a single setting since I gave up an hour ago. Is this thing going to be intermittantly reliable? I mean I have not touched a single thing on the phone and suddenly it started working correctly.
Someone reported that GPS does not work in the area when there is no phone signal... I am not able to test it because I live in an area where Verizon coverage is very good. One thing I know for sure is if I turn the phone radio off, it also turn off GPS.
What 'features' work with this phone if the Internet is diabled? I don't have a data plan and don't want a huge bill by leaving it connected. What is with the melody fading in when you set the phone not to do so... The ring tone choices are not great, am i able to add my own or buy one with out internet? I still don't think I like this phone as much as most people here do!
