IPhone :: Anyone Experiencing Tinny Earpiece On Their IP 4?
Jun 24, 2010
My iPhone 4 has that annoying tinniness when speaking to people with certain pitches of voice, if you know what I mean. Not sure if that's *normal* or if I should just exchange it. My iPhone 4 is perfect otherwise.
I upgraded my xperia ray to 4.0.4 and after that the mobile is getting rebooted on its own frequently. I have tried to repair the phone from PC Companion but still the problem persists. Is there any solution for this.
I recently purchased the Curve 9300 from T-mobile. While talking on the phone, I can hear a weird halo effect/ static around my own voice. The person on the other line sounds crystal clear, and I've tried holding the phone away from my face, adjusting the volume etc. I went to the store, and they gave me a new SIM card thinking it was network related. This did not fix the problem. I even got a whole new phone and I'm still experiencing the problem with the sound/speaker.The OS is v5.0.0.846.
I have a Sony Xperia Ray that recently starting draining the battery very quickly. I used to get around 36hours use out of it before charging but in the last week I been only able to get 3 - 4 hours max before it is completely drained. I purchased another battery and upgraded the Android OS to the lastest version but am still experiencing the same behaviour (short battery life).

They recieved it on the 6th and on the 7th and 8th it was being used. I have a 1 GB plan. My question to matt is if they are using my GB to test it (or perhaps checking their facebook account and downloading ***) am I going to get billed for that usage and the overcharges. I never have gone over 1 GB as I use the wireless at home and work. we are living in the times when internet is in our pockets. yet we have a crippled web browsing experience. without full flash support, we are unable to do most of the work, communication, information gathering, nor enjoying entertainment sites.in the modern days of internet where speed is the most important issue, website developers just can't deal with mobile versions of websites. not even the biggest sites, like cnn have a capable and usable mobile site.
yet, our mobile phones, such as nokia 5800 (and also the rest of the communicator-like phones) with a serious browsing capability is discriminated because the websites recognize them as "mobile" phones. most of the time you're not even able to browse the "normal" website and get the same experience to move around and even see the same information on your mobile phone.
i'm also experiencing browser application issues. freezes, hungs, because the site cannot coop with the disabled flash light. it starts to load the data, you able to see the flash box and then the browser just stops working. after a long time of exercise on different sites, such as Internet i'm convinced that flash 10 even bring our browser to its knees. the new flash 10 videos totally killing the browser on my nokia phone. and this is not firmware, not memory nor website related problems. it's incompatibility where the site and the browser just unable to coop.time to fix and update browsers in nokia smart phones including 5800!
get rid of discriminating our mobile devices as a"crippled" internet browser and give us the full web-experience.i was a faithfull nokia owner in the past 10 years (!!!!). i spent a lot of money on my phones. i always bought them even with limited information on the capabilities because i was trustful about the quality and feature-rich products. however if this issue will not be fixed on this particular phone because of whatever reason, be it as technical issue (the phone is not prepared for such internet experience), or be it as a way of lacking in development (never ment to handle such internet experience at all) then i have to leave nokia for good.
this is not "silly warning" or an angry and frustrating finger pointing. it just the fact that if nokia forcing me to swap phone, then i cannot trust a company with such business decisions to limit the timespan of their phone in such a way, that would generate more money for them. if this is not the case and we able to finally use our phone as it should work since the beginning then we will be the happiest buyers and supporters on earth.
i'm also trying to send this to the customer support in the good hope that finally we will see some advancement on this topic. i think we, the users, were quiet patient up until now (a year or so passed and still no sollution on this).
Is anyone experiencing major lag in the stock gingerbread music player? Changing songs takes forever and it constantly force closes. It's been like this since the update.I do not want to use any third party music player apps.
Got my phone Thursday, setup went fine. Took a phone call on Friday. Sound was fine. Later that night, I used my Aux input in my car to listen to something off my phone. This morning I got a phone call, and couldn't hear anything. Retried the call a few times. Rebooted, same thing. Switch to speaker phone, I can hear a phone call fine. Ideas? Hardware or software?
My Bluetooth earpiece died and I need to get a new one for my iPhone 4s. I don't have bluetooth in my car. I read in these support communities that many Bluetooth accessories don't work with the iPhone 4s so tell me the brands or models of bluetooth earpieces that DO work or direct me to a site that might list those?
The past week I have noticed all my phone calls have been muffled coming out of the earpiece speaker. If I turn on speaker phone then I can hear the conversation normally thus eliminating any volume or software issues.
I´ve had my Iphone 4s since january and have use a cable to extract audio to play it in the car. A couple of days ago I took the earphones that came with the phone and started using them.
Everything sounded good, podcasts, songs, games. Yesterday I used an application called brainwaves that is a sound generator (alpha, beta, etc. waves). After that, I tried to listen to more music and noticed that the sound on the right earpiece is distorted.
I tried closing all application, reseting the phone, I even restore it with Itunes, and it is the same. I tried some other earphones without the control switch, and the noise-distorition dissapears. I connect the cable to listen music in the car, and the problem is there.
I tried different songs and podcast, and the problem is still there. Is this a problem with the output jack? the earphones? software?
I've had an iPhone 3G for one year and a half. I Opened it up a few months ago to change the back cover, which was broken; and I broke a bit the plastic piece of connector 3 of the mother board (see at the Attached image); However, It worked perfectly... Until now, that I've reopened my iPhone to change again the backcover (false covers aren't very good...), and when I finished... Noticed that the earpiece is not working! I can't hear anything while calling! I know that the connector 3 of the screen is the cause, because proximity sensor isn't working neither...
But my question is: Is there any way to know which part of the "connector 3" has been broken? The MoBo, or the Screen Flex? Because if it's the second, I can replace it for a few bucks, but if not... :S Or... Is there any other connector that I could damage or put badly, so they are doing contact with wrong pieces, etc etc? Notice that I had to disarm the whole iPhone to change the cover... So perhaps.
I have no sound when receiving a call through the earpiece. The caller can hear me and the bottom speakers work fine. I can only hear when using headphones or speaker mode. Have tried restarting, tapping the earphone speaker, blowing into it..
I have an iphone4, using it since 2 years. It was working good until yesterday, all of a sudden my earpiece volume has turned out very low. I barely can hear anything through it. Although having no physical damage this problem has been popped out.
Everything functions fine on my iPhone 4 except the native phone app. I can dial out and answer calls. However, I cannot hear any sound coming out of the earpiece or speakerphone and the person on the other end of the line cannot hear me and the iPhone shows that we are connected. I use apps like Skype and Viber and I am able to make and receive phone calls fine. I can hear the caller and they can hear me. I restarted my iphone, I did a hard reset. I even backed up my iphone and restored it to default settings and the problem still persists.
the bluetooth problem with 4g i have used the earpiece many times and has worked now all of the sudden it wont connect to my phone ive tried restarting the phone, forgot the device and now the phone wont find it. PLEASE HELP!
Bluetooth Earpiece (Jawbone ICON with A2DP) does not give me an audible alert when I receive Texts or Calendar reminders. My phone vibrates, but I what I want is my chosen alert tone in my ear. When I get a phone call, I get the phone number read to me and the alert tone. I have tried turning the A2DP off and about a hundred other things.
i have 2 htc diamond, and the one i am using the earpiece is quite low, so can i switch out the ear piece from the phone i am not using, will it damage anything on the phone, bc its hard to hear the other person on the other line when i am using the phone,
My LG G3 has been acting up lately. I can't hear a thing through the earpiece when I'm making and receiving calls. Call quality is okay because I can hear clearly if I put it on speakerphone. I don't know if this is a software issue or hardware. I'm afraid that when my phone is heating, the earpiece is getting damaged or something.
I just recently am unable to hear callers via the earpiece, but i am able to hear callers via the speakerphone and also music via the bb media player though.
I'm loving my N1 but have something that sounds loose near the earpiece. Everything works, including camera, audio and proximity sensor so i'm not sure what it is. Its not the power button, either.Does anyone else have this rattle that sounds like a loose piece of gravel or plastic in there?
