My previous phone was a Samsung and you just had to press the power button to ensure that any accidental screen touches wouldn't interfere with the video.

I have a Pico Projector that we all watch football games but the battery is dimminished in no time using data package and screen on. Was wondering if there was any way to turn it off because if its hooked to the video out cable and you hit the power button it just turns right back on.

Jul 10, 2010I've spent a few days here trying to track down info on encoding video for the Virgin LG Rumor Touch to no avail and have had a break through so I'd like to share what I know so the info is out there to google.. I'm a newby to trying to mess with my cell phones so If anyone has any other info to optimize and improve on this please post!
First of all you'll need FFmpegX or some equivalent program from there the rest was pretty simple. First of all yes, as you may have seen elsewhere you can use a 3gp set up as long as you change the audio settings to AAC but the video resolution is cr*p, but I just wasn't happy with that. So, after trying many of the user preset options on isky software trial I'd discovered that I could get mp4 video to play but was stuck with the watermark on it....but here's the catch.YOU HAVE TO ACCESS YOUR MP4 VIDEOS THROUGH THE TOOLS MENU IN ORDER FOR THE MP4's TO WORK.If you go through the Photo's and video page you'll get and error mesage and it won't read mp4 - I've tried repeatedly, thinking maybe it was just a random error after getting it to play through the back door this way.Now since I had the watermark on the iSkysoft conversion I thought what the heck - let's get open ffmegx and see what we can do.I started with a short video so as not to waste time - and I'll try to dumb this down as I'm kinda dumb when it comes to this stuff too.So first I loaded the ipod h.264 320w preset which I believe uses and h.264 codec if I'm not mistaken.
Under the video tab in the menu I then switched auto size to 4:3 which resets the video size to 320x240 which I believe is the proper size for the Rumor Touch.Then in the drop down menu I selected NTSC (29.97) because it was the horrible res on the 3gp that had me spending the last to days trying to find something better in the first place.Then under the video bitrate calculator on the left just use your cursor to hit "best" which will set the optimal bitrate for the new size.Also I'd be sure to check under the Audio tab menu to be sure that the drop down is set to AAC because that was a playback issue if it wasn't set correctly in iSkysoft - and you may want to reset the audio bit rate to at least 128 cause 96 is a bit low for most audiophiles..After that just hit encode and drop the new vid into the DCIM>100LGDCF folder on your SD card and then acces the video through MAIN MENU>TOOLS>MASS STORAGE>FILE MANAGER>DCIM>100LGCF and hit play!
The one caveat I have here that though I haven't tried to use this setting to encode conversion from Xvid yet I have not been able to get audio to encode from Xvid to ipod conversions in the past so this may or may not be something to be aware of.Figuring out how to get good vid on this thing has improved my happiness with it greatly...Now if someone can just figure out how hack past that da*m Virgin lock out so we can play music in the back ground and load a few games and apps !!!

Aug 18, 2010i have a rumor touch on virgin mobile and when i slide to answer a call it hangs up right away! I don't know what to do.I bought this from best buy a couple months ago but didnt really notice because i never make phone calls. i still have the receipt and some bubble packaging.

Sep 14, 2010I dont understand why my xperia x10 doesn't have 720p recording with a camera that can take pictures at 8.1 mp and yet the ipod touch 4g with a camera less then 1mp can take 720p?I want my Xperia X10 to be the best it can possibly be NOW before it goes out of date. A ipod touch 4g with a camera can record 720p video with a 1mp cam..and yet my phone kills its in hardware can't record 720p? Its can't get 16m colors either . so disappointed in Sony....its bad enough that call quaility *****, and in-call volume blows, now a lesser tech records better than my phone....when the embarassment stop.

Jun 15, 2012Hello everybody. I have an iPhone 4 and updated it to 5.1.1. Since then everytime someone calls me, the answer slider doesn't work !! I have to call everyone back for a week now. And sometimes during de calls the touch screen doesn't work (end+answer, end buttons). I don't have my iphone jailbroken or anything.
It is very idiotic that an update ruins your phone and you can't downgrade to a last know configuration that works.
SO... to sum up. Touch screen doesn't work when I receive a phonecall and the phone is in standby (slide to answer) and during calls.

Nov 29, 2011Just got my Electrify Friday, and so far I have dropped just about every call I have made with it. The screen doesn't turn off during calls and I am either pushing every button and trying to conference in the Moon, or I hang up.
I've turned on and off the pocket mode, I've rebooted with it on, and off. I've turned pocket mode off, rebooted, and then turned it back on. Nothing has worked. I don't have a case on it, I don't have a screen protector on it.

She really wants video calling, and while, my phone is capable of it, it doesn't have the comfort of skype, so we have no choice but to use 3G+ video calling through the operator, which should be fine with my subscription, except, her Lumia doesn't seem to work with this variety of video calling. .
I can use my phone to video call other phones, but not a Windows Phone. Our operator's Customer Service agents aren't exactly familiar with Windows Phone, so they seem clueless. I can't resort to Skype-to-operator type of calling, because then I'd have to pay for Skype Credits AND her 3G. .
In a nutshell, I need ideo calling without using Skype or Tango.

Jun 12, 2010The main reason for me to buy the 5630 is the video phone feature. But I'm not yet sure, how to do this. On the PCs I use both Skype and SIP. Now I installed Skype on the 5630 and can do the "Skype testing call" w/o problems via WLAN, but I'm not sure how to activate the video function. Does it work? If so, how? Or do I have to use SIP for video telephony instead of Skype?
