When I say it's slow, I'm referring to how quickly apps launch (especially the camera), how fast I can switch from one app to another and occasional lagging of home screen elements loading.
I switched to the S6 from an iPhone 6 and I've been very happy with android but this phone has undoubtedly been much slower than what I'm used to with iPhone and if I can't resolve it, I may switch back.
I received a Samsung S6 for christmas and still trying to figure it out, its not letting me go to settings, hard to swipe to move pages, but wont let me go past page 6 and its saying it goes to page 9 Ive gone to Apps .. settings .. application manager .. then swiped over to ALL list, scrolled down and select the S VOICE, and gone to turn off button, but it wont let me

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I have had an iphone 4 for years now, its jailbroken and has been my main phone forever. However I needed an upgrade badly, so I purchased an unlocked galaxy s6. I have so much data on the old iphone I must move, contacts, pictures, music, and I dont use icloud. So I purchased an otg cable, which worked perfectly for transferring data off of my ipad, but not my iphone.
When I connect the iphone to my galaxy, it pulls up smart switch. However it stays on the "connecting to ios device" screen. When I pull the notifications bar down on my galaxy, it says "camera connected". So my question is how can I prevent my galaxy s6 from recognizing the iphone as a camera, so smart switch can connect to it to transfer my data?
It seems that when I am connected to any WiFi network (home or work) my phone will constantly switch between 4G and WiFI. The only way I have been able to work around this issue is by disabling Mobile Data while I am on WiFi and disabling Smart Network Switch.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy S2 has behaving a bit strangely now for a while, but after updating it to ICS it seems to have gotten worse!
The settings I use daily are (amongst other ones):-
- WIFI off
- bluetooth on
- ringer vibrate
- brightness 25%
Before ICS, when I switched the phone off and then on again, it would change the settings to the following:-
- WIFI on
- bluetooth off
- brightness 50%
After ICS update it now also resets the ringer to loud, not vibrate.
It seems to make the changes shortly after it boots. For example, I switch it on, put my pin in and the bluetooth is on, wifi off, ringer vibrate (as it was when it went off). However, shortly after my home screens have loaded with their icons, the BT, WIFI, brightness and ringer all change, almost as if it's loading some default settings.
Seems to be no simple way of switching the music off.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy wife's Galaxy S6 is only a 4 months old and for the last 2 months she has been dealing with this issue of her phone just randomly switching between apps and programs. For example her phone will just be sitting on the table and we hear a clicking noise (the same noise like when you text) so I look we look at phone and it's switching between messages, pandora, phone list etc. there is not set of apps/programs it chooses them at random. I tried shutting down some apps and no good. I called AT&T and they had me do a factory reset of the phone, no good.
Took it to the store and they sent us to the service center for replacement. But when we got there they said there is water damage to the phone so we are SOL. She works at a hospital and when she comes home, all she does is wipe down the phone with a baby wipe and that's it. I tried to explain to them I understand where they are coming from but this is clearly a software issue. They are refusing. I told them I work in the IT field and again it's clearly software issue or a lemon device, but they are hanging their hats on water damage of course.
So my question to you all, is there some way to roll back the software or to jailbreak it to fix this issue?

I have an iPhone 4s (Verizon). I had recently purchased what was described as an OEM screen plus LCD after I had cracked my factory screen. After replacing the screen and LCD such features as the side volume controls, vibrate switch, and proximity switch (dimming after accepting a call) have stopped working. I double checked to see that all of the connectors were pushed on correctly and they were. Is it possible this may not be an OEM screen and causing the problem or is there a piece of the hardware that I may have damaged that controls all of these functions (i.e. motherboard)?

So of course there's switch mode from work and "play". I have this issue where when I switch from one the theme changes and if I switch back the theme doesn't change. I thought this would be fix, but I guess I was the only one with this issue. Just updated to .54. I'm of course not going to do anything about it I'll just work with it. While adjusting my settings in Knox I switched to folder view, which has completely changed the knox environment. The main thing I now find is I can no longer toggle in and out of the knox container using the notifications area that you swipe down from the top of the screen, unless there is a specific notification, ie a new email.
The option within the Knox settings that I used to switch to folder view is no longer visible - the settings seem to have changed ( and more to the point, I can't remember the exact option) so I can't switch back.
Is there any easy fix to either add a toggle into the notifications area to enter/leave the knox container, or preferably to switch back from the folder view organisational structure to the standard environment that I assume is there by default?
New phone still not used to it....

it's weird cause when I toggle off the Data it shows a line across the "4GLTE" but right now its just grayed out not letting me use data at all.

By using the function somewhere in the "Emergency software recovery and initialization" tab, it will opt the user to upgrade/reinstall the existing software therefore unrooting your device.
My question is - how about using this method to remove the custom recovery (i.e. CWM or TWRP), thus reverting back to stock recovery?
So after installing xstrestolite custom rom, Smart Switch on my pc doesnt connect to the phone. Usb storage works just fine, and the pc detects that it is Galaxy s6 connecting, but Smart Switch says "failed to connect to device". Now I do have the backup file in my pc, so could it be possible to move it to my phone and restore it from there? If so, how?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo just in the last few days my phone has started having some issues. I got a Powerbot wireless charger(PB1020) about the same time I got my phone at release. It's worked fine , and still does as far as I know. But know, after my phone is fully charged, when I remove it from the charger it's pretty warm(this is a new development, not really had it get very warn on the wireless charger before) and then it begins to connect and disconnect from the wifi repeatedly. I'm talking like every second it switches. I keep seeing people saying to turn off Smart Network Switch, but I did that the second day I had my phone, and it's still off, so obviously its something else.

Smart Switch is stuck at "To complete the backup using Smart Switch you need to temporarily allow some permissions. Allow the permissions on the connected device"... There's no prompt on my phone.
I tried all kinds of reconnecting, restarting but still this dialogue.
I use the Gmail app my mail client, but I want to switch to the default mail client (the one that comes out of the box).
I setup the default mail client to handle my email, but how to I now disable the Gmail app so I do not receive double notifications?
If it matters I use google as my primary email account.
