My wifi keeps disconnecting from my ap (no internet esp8266) all my other devices have no problem keep connected.. is something related to network switch i think, but in settings is off..

So just in the last few days my phone has started having some issues. I got a Powerbot wireless charger(PB1020) about the same time I got my phone at release. It's worked fine , and still does as far as I know. But know, after my phone is fully charged, when I remove it from the charger it's pretty warm(this is a new development, not really had it get very warn on the wireless charger before) and then it begins to connect and disconnect from the wifi repeatedly. I'm talking like every second it switches. I keep seeing people saying to turn off Smart Network Switch, but I did that the second day I had my phone, and it's still off, so obviously its something else.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I have had an iphone 4 for years now, its jailbroken and has been my main phone forever. However I needed an upgrade badly, so I purchased an unlocked galaxy s6. I have so much data on the old iphone I must move, contacts, pictures, music, and I dont use icloud. So I purchased an otg cable, which worked perfectly for transferring data off of my ipad, but not my iphone.
When I connect the iphone to my galaxy, it pulls up smart switch. However it stays on the "connecting to ios device" screen. When I pull the notifications bar down on my galaxy, it says "camera connected". So my question is how can I prevent my galaxy s6 from recognizing the iphone as a camera, so smart switch can connect to it to transfer my data?

right now my data isn't working, WiFi calls and texting works.
it's weird cause when I toggle off the Data it shows a line across the "4GLTE" but right now its just grayed out not letting me use data at all.
As most of you are familiar with Samsung's latest iteration of Samsung Kies, the Smart Switch, it is able to "unroot" most of the rooted devices including the Galaxy S6 (Tried it with my rooted G920F). By using the function somewhere in the "Emergency software recovery and initialization" tab, it will opt the user to upgrade/reinstall the existing software therefore unrooting your device.
My question is - how about using this method to remove the custom recovery (i.e. CWM or TWRP), thus reverting back to stock recovery?
So after installing xstrestolite custom rom, Smart Switch on my pc doesnt connect to the phone. Usb storage works just fine, and the pc detects that it is Galaxy s6 connecting, but Smart Switch says "failed to connect to device". Now I do have the backup file in my pc, so could it be possible to move it to my phone and restore it from there? If so, how?

Smart Switch is stuck at "To complete the backup using Smart Switch you need to temporarily allow some permissions. Allow the permissions on the connected device"... There's no prompt on my phone.
I tried all kinds of reconnecting, restarting but still this dialogue.
I'm having this problem on my tmobile s6 where my phone screen will freeze randomly but it only happens anytime i lose connection to wifi. When the phone unfreezes, it always shows that I now connected to my wifi network. I am on xtrestolite rom (tmo version) , stock kernel....

I even switched them back on and then off just to be sure that they were in fact off.After a painful day spent trying to transfer data to the new phone, and installing all of my usual apps - having to disable and renable wifi at least 50 times throughout the day - I decided to switch from using my 5GHz wifi to 2.4GHz (same router), and it now seems fine. Switching back to 5, and I end up back with the same result - wifi will work fine for a while before stopping.
My Galaxy S5 has no issue using the 5GHz (and neither do any other devices I have), so it doesn't appear to be the router (Asus RT-AC87U) at fault unless there's just some compatibility issue with the S6.

If I turn wifi back on, I have a Blue wifi, white H+, and a Blue Network Signal strength.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo the last few days I've had problems with WiFi disconnecting and reconnecting over and over and thought that was the cause of my battery draining tons faster then normal, used to last at least most if not all day with pretty constant use and now it's barely making it 5 hours without needing a charge. Att pushed the 4.4.4 update today and after turning the WiFi smart switch back off the WiFi problem seems to be better but my battery is still draining, just not quite as fast.

It seems to be happening after the screen has been turned off for a while--I turn it back on and the wifi is not connected--once I unlock the phone the wifi then automatically connects. It happens on both my home and work network, and not with any other devices. Haven't changed any settings recently. Tried to turn Smart Network Switch off but that didn't work. "Keep wifi on during sleep" is and has been set to "always".
Possibly related is that a similar thing is happening with Bluetooth. I only have Bluetooth on while driving, and I have noticed that the connection has been randomly disconnecting, and then I have to manually toggle Bluetooth back on and reconnect the phone to the car.
When I'm roaming abroad is it possible to switch off the Network so that I can use the WiFi connection to access the Internet?

I have just purchased an expensive AirPlay sound system, and to my dismay, the connection keeps dropping out when using it with my iPhone 4s. This is probably a configuration issue on my end that I cannot figure out the answer to....but when I am out of WiFi range, or I turn WiFi off my email wont sync or send and I get the error "Network Not Available: The message will be sent when the network is available" As soon as I turn wifi back on , it's fine. Is their a setting that tells an email account to only sync on WiFi? Or only send when on Wifi? It seems to ignore the 4G LTE network.

My most pressing concern, however, is that I can no longer connect to my work WIFI. I had no problems connecting prior to the update.
