Feb 25, 2012So my music player in my s2 LTE is constantly having problems. At random, it will do any one of the following; pause, mute, go full volume and skip songs. This can happen while in my pocket, it can happen when the phone is stationary and not being touched. Motion controls are off. I've downloaded several other music apps and they all do the same thing. I've tried using other headphones. Sometimes it won't happen for a very long time and its no big deal, but sometimes it just constantly pauses or skips songs and makes it more of a hassle than it is worth to listen to music on my phone. It's been happening pretty much since I got the phone in mid December.

May 14, 2010Hello! I am new to this thread and the freeform phone (which I love by the way!) I am currently having issues with my Music Library. Being that I was so spoiled by my ipod there are a few things that are bothering me about the Music Player.
1. My songs are not in alphabetical order.
2. Song information that is in the file is missing (Artist Name & Album)
3. Shuffle does not change. The songs are shuffled only once and stay in that order indefinably.
Can anyone offer any kind of advice or point me in the right direction to solve this issue. and which method best works for adding music. I currently do the Drag and Drop from Itunes to my music folder on my card and I use the sync feature on Windows Media Player (SOMETIMES BECAUSE WMP IS NO AS EASY TO NAVIGATE AND FIND THINGS AS ITUNES
Galaxy S5 :: Downloaded Music Stored On Internal Memory Not Showing Up In Any Music Player?
May 15, 2015I can play the files through the file manager but not the google play or the default music player. I have even downloaded third party music players with no luck. I tried moving the files around to the default music folder, and even the folder with the samsung song that came with the phone. No luck.
My last phone (nexus 4) recognized the files instantly, even found the album art and organized all of them no matter where the files were located. I really don't understand what the problem is, I thought this was supposed to be an upgrade.
Would putting the files on a micro SD card work at all?
Samsung :: Intensity (u450) Mp3 Player Cant Access ALL Music
Feb 3, 2010I formatted, then put a couple of songs on it to test it out. The phone recognized and played them, so then I added the rest of my music to the memory card. There's about 14 gb on the card now, so it's almost full. The phone also accurately tells me that there's about 14gb of the memory card that's occupied. BUT The music player now only puts a small portion of all those songs into its playlist, I would say it only plays about 2 gb out of the total 14 gb. I also cannot choose which songs get put on the playlist. I am on Telus, NOT Verizon, by the way. Why can't I access ALL my music in the music player?
Is there a maximum to the number of songs in the mp3 playlist that I wasn't aware of? Did I buy the wrong memory card?
Samsung :: Intensity Resume In Music Player Error
May 31, 2010I just got the Samsung Intensity for Verizon. Everything is great except for one critical thing. I download audibooks from my local library which come as DRM protected WMA files. They play just fine BUT if I exit the music player (to make a call, or just put it away for a while) when I bring it up again, it does not remember its place and goes back to the beginning of the file. This is crippling when you have 72 minute "songs" since you can't be scanning to find your old place every time. With non-protected WMA's even of the same length,it remembers it's place just fine. Also, on my old Samsung Juke it was not a problem. I asked Verizon tech support and they are forwarding my issue to Samsung. I am hoping they will come out with a fix, but they easily could just ignore a complaint from one lone user. Is this a problem that other people have seen? What are the chances that Samsung will actually produce a fix? Is there a workaround to get it to remember its place in a protected WMA?

Galaxy S6 :: Samsung Smart Switch App Not Connecting?
Jan 11, 2016So I have had an iphone 4 for years now, its jailbroken and has been my main phone forever. However I needed an upgrade badly, so I purchased an unlocked galaxy s6. I have so much data on the old iphone I must move, contacts, pictures, music, and I dont use icloud. So I purchased an otg cable, which worked perfectly for transferring data off of my ipad, but not my iphone.
When I connect the iphone to my galaxy, it pulls up smart switch. However it stays on the "connecting to ios device" screen. When I pull the notifications bar down on my galaxy, it says "camera connected". So my question is how can I prevent my galaxy s6 from recognizing the iphone as a camera, so smart switch can connect to it to transfer my data?
Samsung Galaxy S II :: Changes Settings On Switch Off / Reboot?
Oct 4, 2012My S2 has behaving a bit strangely now for a while, but after updating it to ICS it seems to have gotten worse!
The settings I use daily are (amongst other ones):-
- WIFI off
- bluetooth on
- ringer vibrate
- brightness 25%
Before ICS, when I switched the phone off and then on again, it would change the settings to the following:-
- WIFI on
- bluetooth off
- brightness 50%
After ICS update it now also resets the ringer to loud, not vibrate.
It seems to make the changes shortly after it boots. For example, I switch it on, put my pin in and the bluetooth is on, wifi off, ringer vibrate (as it was when it went off). However, shortly after my home screens have loaded with their icons, the BT, WIFI, brightness and ringer all change, almost as if it's loading some default settings.

Jul 3, 2012since my husband updated my Galaxy S2's firmwire, I've noticed that my battery is lasting a lot less than it did before it was updated.I've noticed that the 3G is on all the time, and when at home, when I don't need it, it doesn't automatically switch to the wifi like it used to.So basically, the wifi and 3G are on at the same time, instead of switching from one to the other.

While adjusting my settings in Knox I switched to folder view, which has completely changed the knox environment. The main thing I now find is I can no longer toggle in and out of the knox container using the notifications area that you swipe down from the top of the screen, unless there is a specific notification, ie a new email.
The option within the Knox settings that I used to switch to folder view is no longer visible - the settings seem to have changed ( and more to the point, I can't remember the exact option) so I can't switch back.
Is there any easy fix to either add a toggle into the notifications area to enter/leave the knox container, or preferably to switch back from the folder view organisational structure to the standard environment that I assume is there by default?

Sep 12, 2014And set it up so that when I plug in my headphones and hit play on the remote, the music starts playing. On my S3, it was really easy. I just installed the app, and when asked if I wanted to set it as my default music player, I just said yes, and presto! Poweramp all day every day. I'd plug in my headphones and it was good to go. But on my S5, there doesn't seem to be any way to set a default music player. If I go into my application manager and go to Poweramp, under "Launch by default", It says "No defaults set", but there is no way to press the "Clear defaults" button because it isn't highlighted. It's just faded.
This is the case for Google Play Music, and the default S5 music player app as well. When I go to "Default applications" in the settings, under "Set Defaults", there are only 2 options: "Home" (TouchWiz Home), and "Messages", but there doesn't appear to be any way from here to set any new default apps such as my music player of choice. The worst part is, maybe 4 out of 10 times, when I plug in my headphones and click the play button on the remote, Poweramp will start and a song will start to play, but the other 6 times, I'll click play and nothing will happen and I have to unlock my phone and manually press play on the Poweramp widget on one of my home screens. I just want to plug in my headphones and have it work consistently every time like it did on my S3.
