Dec 11, 2015How to consolidate Facebook notifications on the lock screen, similar to the way the device clumps together notifications for email, texts, etc. How to not have Facebook on the lock screen but still show up in the notification center. All I seem to be able to find are ways to turn FB notifications on or off.

Jan 2, 2016I don't miss a lot of things about my moto x, but I do miss that you could access the home screen by just pressing the power/side button, so long it was within the time frame that the screen automatically locked. Is there a way to do that on the galaxy s6? I hate to have to swipe the lock screen every time, if I need to access the phone again within the period that the screen does not automatically lock.

May 27, 2015I miss the full screen album art on the lock screen from my lg G3 while playing any type of media (Pandora, Spotify, etc.) ... Even worked while I used xbmc (now kodi)... I believe even Samsung had this as well. While some didn't like it, I loved it!
Any way to get that back on the s6/edge?? Not sure why they did away with this.
I'm rooted, so if there's any mods out there that'll achieve this for root, let me know

Jun 10, 2015I just switched from iPhone and on that had the capability to see spotify album art and controls in lock screen, can I do that on my s6 edge? Or suggest a lock screen that can. I don't like having notifications on for spotify because I don't need to be told everytime a song gets added to a payload but so far this is the only way to get controls on lockscreen and it's tiny. Was android always like this?

Sep 22, 2015- I've already tried the suggested fixes that I could find on the forums of changing the unlocking animation and whatnot but the problem persists no matter what when reverting back to a password/pattern lock/fingerprint lockscreen.
- This is not a brightness issue.
When using any lockscreen other than swipe to unlock, my lockscreen seems to have a grey filter overlayed on top of it. It's super noticeable when using a black wallpaper. The AMOLED display should not be visible in the dark (as if it's off) but the screen is noticeably lit as if it were an LCD display. When using images as my lockscreen wallpaper they are not as vivid as when viewing the image in the gallery or even as my wallpaper on the homescreen.
The problem has gone on and off when dealing with the night clock with updates. sometimes the 'black' screen will be lit up and defeat the purpose of the nightclock and kill the battery, and sometimes the screen is pitch black and just the time is displayed dimly as it should be. Wondering if i should take it into the sprint store to see if a replacement would remedy this.

Apr 13, 2015So all of the pre-installed lock screen wallpapers come up in full color when you unlock the device. Now when I set up my own lock screen wallpaper it basically fades to the background and is very dark and almost black. The clock and camera, phone icons are bright like normal. Is this the way it's suppose to be? Do I maybe need to move the wallpaper I want to use to where the lock screen wallpapers are?

Sep 22, 2015one week ago i installed OTA 5.1.1' but it's not the new with the new icons, and i am having some issues with it, the phone lags in the settings app for the first couple of seconds, when someone call me and i slide the green circle to the right the in-call screen appears but the phone freeze for two seconds and then return to the screen you see when someone calling you again....sometimes i have to slide it 3 times to answer the call, i didn't have these issues in 5.1.1, now the question is for those who have the newest 5.1.1, do you have these issues??

Jul 5, 2015I'm trying to set up the fingerprint lock on the edge 6. So I've gone to setting and security and all that. I've added both thumbs as fingerprints. And under lock screen type it says fingerprint. Yet every time I lock the screen and hit the home button it says swipe to unlock. Even tho I go back to settings and under lock screen it says fingerprints. What step am I missing? Also I restarted the phone and the first time I pressed the home button it asked for my fingerprint but then after that it went to swipe screen. What should I do to fix this so it's fingerprint every time.

May 10, 2015Long time iPhone user and just transitioned to Android. Just got a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and it's been quite a learning experience so far. So is there a way to lock the homescreen and the apps that are displayed there? The wife is having a problem where she can just be holding her phone in her palm and when she looks at her phone the next time, most of her apps are missing. Is there anyway you can lock the apps in place? I know with the iphone there are a few things needed to make apps disappear (hold icon, hit "X", tap on DELETE. All pretty specific spots within the screen that need to be tapped.

Jul 19, 2015I am trying to turn on fingerprint lock. When I click on "+ Add Fingerprint" I immediately get an error message saying "Make sure that the Home key is clean and dry, then try again". It does this before even attempting to scan my fingerprint. When I click OK on the message it closes out of the add fingerprint screen straight away. When I go back in there I get the same message immediately.

Nov 20, 2015I recently had intermittent freezing on the phone -- in apps (new and old), on the lock screen, on the launcher. After searching the Web, I did everything recommended--numerous soft resets, a couple of hard resets, consulted Samsung's technical chat room, took the phone to Samsung's local kiosk for a forced software update--nothing worked and the end result was that Samsung said it was a hardware problem and that I needed to send the phone in to Samsung for a look at the hardware. Before doing that, I looked at the system and saw that it did not show any storage information for the SD card. I replaced the SD card and it fixed the problem--the phone is operating just fine. It would have saved me a lot of aggravation if somewhere along the line someone had thought to look at the SD card -- apparently a bad SD card can cause system instability on the S5.

Jul 11, 2015I've had my s6 for about 3 months now and this is the first problem that i have encountered. So i was using my s6 edge on the way to work and it was working fine as usual, got in and put my stuff in my locker and started work. When i had finished i went to use my phone and the screen stayed black but i have the blue LED blinking slowly so the phone must still have power.
I have tried holding the power button down for varying periods of time which done nothing also holding the power button home and volume down buttons done nothing. I have tried plugging The phone into the charger and the red LED indicating that it is charging does not turn on, it is the same result noi matter which phone charger i use or which socket i use. Also if i try plugging it directly into my pc it is not detected.

Nov 9, 2015My fingerprint feature was working fine...then suddenly it wasn't. I have the same fingers today that I had yesterday. So I'm then prompted to change my password via gmail. Did that. Didn't work. Tried hundreds of times now and I'm never prompted to try through gmail again. Logged into my Google Device Manager and Sprint told me (via another phone) I should see an option to UNLOCK the device, yet, only the LOCK option appears as if the phone is lost. Tried that new numeric code set using GDM...doesn't work. I refuse to factory reset.
