Galaxy S6 :: What Is The Page That Pops Up When Swipe Left To Right
Oct 11, 2015
I just got my S6 about a month ago and I can't figure out what this page is that pops into view when I accidentally swipe from left to right. It says Briefing at the top and has a bunch of gaudy photos. How do I permanently get rid of it?
Just read on another page about the Lumia 920 having the option to hit the Bing search button, and then swipe to the right (Or left - can't remember), to get News articles. Guess this must be regional dependent (Or is it just on AT&T devices)?
When originally purchased i was able to scroll/swipe screens from left to right or from the left bottom up on a diagonal swipe on certain apps.... Just noticed that feature is gone or somehow disabled. How to get it back?
I made some kind of swipe on my Lumia 920 and the current page/app (not Internet Explorer page) zoomed out and I could swipe back and forth between the pages/apps I had used before (as minitures).
I have a S5 Active Galaxy and when anyone calls me or I call out I get a pop up telling me the phone has stopped working. I have tried to restart it and do a battery pull..no luck.
Suddenly, this Samsung Galaxy s5 has started to beep every time there's a keypress / or a new screen pops up. I have checked every setting I know, and I didn't make any changes today.
I can't access my setting menu, press the left "button" and the settings option is there I press it and the menu pops up for about a second then goes back to the home screen, if I go in through apps menu its the same, its a stock S2 about a month old on T mobile uk.
This just started today. I haven't done anything different. No unknown source apps were downloaded. My pin lock screen will change on its own to the swipe to open screen.
I have been using fingerprint unlock on my s6 with no problems since I got it. Starting today it forces me to swipe up first then I can unlock with my fingerprint.
Ever since I bought my phone about 2 months ago the only type of lock screen I can do is a pattern, fingerprint scanner, or a pin number. To have no lock screen or to swipe and unlock it has been locked. Is there anyway to unlock it?
I really like using the fingerprint scanner on my S5 with Lollipop to unlock the phone. But what I don't understand is that I have to swipe to unlock which activates the fingerprint scanner and then I have to scan. Why can't I just hit the home or power button and be taken directly to the fingerprint scanner?
I had MobileIron installed on my S5 for work .. I thenfollowed all the details to uninstall it but now I can't get back to just swipe. I can only use password or fingerprint ... I went into Security and "Cleared All Credentials" and that didn't work.
I'm going to buy S6 but I would only go for the unlocked/non-carrier version so I'm still waiting. During the time, I try S6/edge several times at Bestbuy and did find something very strange when I swipe the screen left or right. I didn't realize it's the problem(actually I was thinking my finger was too dry) until I tried the S5 right next to it and didn't find anything wrong.
It happens when you swipe left back to Homescreen from magazine app(Flipboard integrated). It's playing animation and don't let you do anything during this animation. So basically if you swipe left twice quickly, it is supposed to go to the second screen on the right but it didn't. That works fine on S5 but not on S6. On S6 the second swipe(or any extra swipe after that but before the animation is over) didn't work and didn't react to your finger until the animation is played completely. I am not sure if it's the problem of display phones or a general problem.
I have the Galaxy s6. I have the fingerprint screen unlock enabled. But the majority of the time I have to swipe and THEN fingerprint unlock or just swipe to completely unlock it. Which isn't very secure. How can I get rid of the swipe to open feature competely, I want only my fingerprint to be able to unlock it.
I can not get the "swipe" option back on my Galaxy S5. I had used the WiFi at work one day but decided that I really did not need it so I had turned it off. It did ask me to reset my security option to pin, pattern, etc etc so I set a pin number, but now I can't get it back to swipe - the "Swipe" section is grayed out in the "Select screen lock" section and it says "Turned off by administrator, encryption policy, or credential storage." I already tried to clear credentials and I also looked for the certificate it asked me to install and i removed that as well. None of that has solved my issue. What I need to do to get swipe access back?
I have a Galaxy IIs from Tmobile. I want to be able to just push the side power button and go directly to my phones homescreen. I don't want to have to swipe to go the the home screen. I have tried going into Location and Security>Set up screen lock>None. This didn't do anything. I still have to swipe to go to the home screen. Is there somewhere else that has the setting I am looking for?
I have a galaxy s6 edge, I want to disable in messages-->swipe left to go to messages and swipe right to make a call in " messages " application. How I can disable it.
I am new to Android having just bought an S5, previously I had a Nokia Lumia. I wanted to set up some form of encryption for obvious reasons, and I am sure I just had to set up a password - now I have realised that there are other methods such as the pattern or pin, which I would prefer, but it will not let me click to change to any of the other options.
I was "playing" with my phone and first tried the fingerprint, which i had trouble getting in after that. Then i tried the 4 digit code. I went back in to change it back to swipe but it is no longer an option. It says it is turned off by administrator, encryption policy or credential storage. Not sure what I did, but I need getting swipe back. Should have been working instead of playing anyhow...
I have been using the fingerprint scan security for a week or so and I decided it's just too laggy to keep using. Now I can not figure out how to go back to just swiping up top unlock the screen. The section labeled "swipe" in the settings is grayed out.
