View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been using the fingerprint scan security for a week or so and I decided it's just too laggy to keep using. Now I can not figure out how to go back to just swiping up top unlock the screen. The section labeled "swipe" in the settings is grayed out.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have saw several posts on people wanting the message preview to just say new message or just the senders name,i figured out how to get it to just say new message!!!

I have my newly purchased yesterday Galaxy S6 Edge for Verizon and auto-brightness is turned off. However, when I go into a dark environment my phone screen dims itself even though the auto feature is turned off.
When in a dark environment I can can hit the phones camera sensor with a flashlight and the screen returns to full brightness. When the screen is then locked and unlocked again it will return to the dim setting.
Extremely frustrating considering how beautiful the S6 Edges screen is. Wondering if there is a fix I can do now, waiting for an OTA update, or just return the phone and get something else.
Is there a way to get the alarm clock to work when my phone is turned off. Or do I need to download a different alarm app to do this. I am using the alarm clock that came on the phone.
View 8 Replies View Relatedbasically my phone is not connecting to mobile data after wi-fi connection is lost or manually disconnected. This is not always happening but once it happens the only way to bring back mobile data is by restarting the phone or manually toggling mobile data on and off in settings. Once it connects to mobile data it'll work for a while but then after being connected on WI-FI for a while it won't go back to mobile data on its own.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI really like using the fingerprint scanner on my S5 with Lollipop to unlock the phone. But what I don't understand is that I have to swipe to unlock which activates the fingerprint scanner and then I have to scan. Why can't I just hit the home or power button and be taken directly to the fingerprint scanner?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI had MobileIron installed on my S5 for work .. I thenfollowed all the details to uninstall it but now I can't get back to just swipe. I can only use password or fingerprint ... I went into Security and "Cleared All Credentials" and that didn't work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm going to buy S6 but I would only go for the unlocked/non-carrier version so I'm still waiting. During the time, I try S6/edge several times at Bestbuy and did find something very strange when I swipe the screen left or right. I didn't realize it's the problem(actually I was thinking my finger was too dry) until I tried the S5 right next to it and didn't find anything wrong.
It happens when you swipe left back to Homescreen from magazine app(Flipboard integrated). It's playing animation and don't let you do anything during this animation. So basically if you swipe left twice quickly, it is supposed to go to the second screen on the right but it didn't. That works fine on S5 but not on S6. On S6 the second swipe(or any extra swipe after that but before the animation is over) didn't work and didn't react to your finger until the animation is played completely. I am not sure if it's the problem of display phones or a general problem.
When originally purchased i was able to scroll/swipe screens from left to right or from the left bottom up on a diagonal swipe on certain apps.... Just noticed that feature is gone or somehow disabled. How to get it back?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got my S6 about a month ago and I can't figure out what this page is that pops into view when I accidentally swipe from left to right. It says Briefing at the top and has a bunch of gaudy photos. How do I permanently get rid of it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI can not get the "swipe" option back on my Galaxy S5. I had used the WiFi at work one day but decided that I really did not need it so I had turned it off. It did ask me to reset my security option to pin, pattern, etc etc so I set a pin number, but now I can't get it back to swipe - the "Swipe" section is grayed out in the "Select screen lock" section and it says "Turned off by administrator, encryption policy, or credential storage." I already tried to clear credentials and I also looked for the certificate it asked me to install and i removed that as well. None of that has solved my issue. What I need to do to get swipe access back?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have tried resetting the keyboard settings and restarting my phone but nothing seems to work up until now.

I still have to swipe to go to the home screen. Is there somewhere else that has the setting I am looking for?

I am new to Android having just bought an S5, previously I had a Nokia Lumia. I wanted to set up some form of encryption for obvious reasons, and I am sure I just had to set up a password - now I have realised that there are other methods such as the pattern or pin, which I would prefer, but it will not let me click to change to any of the other options.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI was "playing" with my phone and first tried the fingerprint, which i had trouble getting in after that. Then i tried the 4 digit code. I went back in to change it back to swipe but it is no longer an option. It says it is turned off by administrator, encryption policy or credential storage. Not sure what I did, but I need getting swipe back. Should have been working instead of playing anyhow...
