Is it possible when I say, for example, "Ok Google. Send an email to dad," that I can use one of my non-Gmail accounts to send it? I have my Comcast email signed in under Gmail, but it always defaults to my Gmail account I never use, and when I select the icon in the top right that says "Send this email with...," that is the only option.

Two of them are gmail accounts - but neither work. Although I validate them I get an error message saying that I have to activate IMAP on gmail. View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got the Z2 after struggling for a while with an ageing and annoying phone, and in general I'm pretty happy with it.
But I have a problem with gmail notifications, and it's hard to find info on this on the web because it just turns up a lot of stuff about the notification sounds, which is not my issue.
I have three gmail accounts, two private and one for work. With all my previous phones, when I had mail incoming, I'd get one notification icon in the status bar per account. So if I had unread mail in all three accounts, I'd three gmail icons in the notification bar.
The Z2 seems to lump them all together, and I only get one single icon regardless of how many accounts have unread email. I find this quite annoying and not something I expected at ALL. (Even my first very crummy internet-capable phone did multiple notifications.) Is this a bug, or is there a way to change a setting?
Only one of my 3 gmail accounts on my phone is acting up from time to time, saying incorrect username and/or password. I know this is false because I simply wait and the problem goes away. Only this time, it's been 24 hours now and it still thinks its the wrong username and/or password. In the meantime, I'm able to use that username and password on my laptop with no problems. I've tried deleting the account on my phone and adding it again, but it still thinks incorrect username and/or password.

I have multiple gmail accounts set up on my Xoom. Everything is good except the Market. Sometimes my Market app will switch accounts and act like I only have 5 installed apps (probably just the preinstalled apps). It's easy enough to switch back to the right account.

I have been receiving absolutly no help from my local SPRINT representatives and I am about ready to throw my blackberry out the window.I received a replacement phone for my blackberry that has a missing part and I was able to sycronize all things from the old blackberry 8330 onto the new blackberry 8530.problem is that I am not getting my emails now! When I go to set up wizard, I am not given the options to set up new accounts or to delete accounts, just to sign in and when I do, the log in and passwords are not correct even though they are.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have two hotmail accounts that I receive e-mails from. I was successfully able to add one but not the other. The one that worked is a .com account where as the other is a .ca account. They both used to work just fine on my S3.
I tried the stock e-mail app and g-mail. Neither work. I tried adding it as an Exchange Account, IMAP and POP3. No luck. Tried modifying the connection/server settings, still nothing. Even downloaded a third party app (Nine) but that didn't work either. Nine did however lead me to a tool that told me that the account can't be set up as an exchange although I don't really understand why.
I have multiple iphones and I touches and they are all sharing contacts and music with each other. I know there is a simple way to fix this but I cant figure it out. Must we all get separate iTunes accounts and icloud accounts?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am new to my Samsung S6, and was feeling good that I was able to create a Gmail IMAP account in the "Google" app, 2 accounts in the "Personal (POP3)" app, and one account in the "Email" app. Then I discovered that only the "Email" app shows up on my desktop and I have to open 3 different apps to look for email. Is there a way for me to "import" those other accounts into "Email" app? It looks like I might be able to start from scratch and enter all of the settings (which wasn't a short procedure), but I've read of problems encountered (e.g. disappearing emails from server, etc.)

under settings -> data usage i enabled "limit backgroud data" for google play service..
Today i found that my address book it was not syncing with gmail, so i try to do it manually but it just gave me a RED ! saying that an issue occurred..
I tryed on 2 different google account several times and it did non sync when i connect the phone to my wifi network it synced without issue..
I am not sure if limiting background data for google play service is the problem but i don't know how to remove that settings under data usage i can't see it any more..
I have recently switched to Android after 8 years as a BlackBerry user. BlackBerry had a central hub--one inbox--where my three personal email accounts, my work email account, my SMS messages, Facebook, Twitter, and other social media all appeared. All messages of any sort came to this central location. Is this possible with my Galaxy S6 Edge? So far, I have my personal email accounts in one box, my work email (we use Google Apps) in another, and my SMS in a third. I don't mind keeping social media out of this inbox, but it would be nice to get all the other incoming messages 'under one roof.' All accounts considered, I receive 100 messages a day on average. A central location for these would be nice. I've been told that what I want to do isn't possible on an Android device, but I hoped for a second opinion.

A feature of 5.0 was supposed to be support for multiple user accounts and to let a friend login with his/her gmail account and use the phone if they broke/forgot there's. I've searched the settings page and all and haven't found this feature on my S5. Am I doing something wrong or was this left out on purpose.

I have them configured and working, but they are all under the standard mail app (white envelop with blue @). When I get a new message, this icon will show how many unread messages there are. But, it shows for all of my accounts. I'm trying to have separate apps/icons for each email address that'll show some type of "unread messages" notification on the icon itself. Came from a blackberry and i had 4 individual accounts setup, each would have a red star if there was an unread msg in that account. I tried the hotmail and the gmail apps but they don't seem to show anything like this either.

It is not in the app drawer. I created no folder accidentally. When I go to Widgets and drag the 1x1 Gmail icon to the desktop, Gmail opens instead of dropping the icon on my desktop. When I close Gmail, there is still no icon.
I can't find how to uninstall Gmail. Playstore only gives option Open or Update.
I have touchwizard TouchWiz Start selected.
I read about hidden Icons but I don't understand.
I did a restart.
I did not yet Factory Reset.

I've been using Gmail as the default email on my phone for ages. Today, for some reason, it didn't allow outgoing mail. It said "sending failed", then I got a message saying Gmail stopped activity from this unrecognized device and unsafe app. I followed the url it gave, and selected the option to say that was my device, but it still wouldn't allow it. I went on to Google to see if I could find a solution. I read that I should change my password, so I did. Then I tried to change my phone email setting to have the new password, but it won't let me, saying "authentication failed".
I have scanned my device and uninstalled apps I had recently downloaded, but could this be due to some sort of malware? I have been getting tons of bad popups when I was on fb lately (Congratulations! Your profile has been selected...), as well as fb errors so I'm wondering if this is related?
