I have 2 gmail accounts. The setup with the first account was easy and without issues. Now I'm trying to add the other one and it says that there is something wrong with the address or the password, but I'm sure that the data I'm entering is OK.

As it is now I have to toggle through the account list to switch between accounts and it seems that I always get mail in the account I'm not currently in. I know, it sounds minor, but anything to save a few keystrokes multiple times throughout the day.

When I go to set up wizard, I am not given the options to set up new accounts or to delete accounts, just to sign in and when I do, the log in and passwords are not correct even though they are.

Two of them are gmail accounts - but neither work. Although I validate them I get an error message saying that I have to activate IMAP on gmail. View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got the Z2 after struggling for a while with an ageing and annoying phone, and in general I'm pretty happy with it.
But I have a problem with gmail notifications, and it's hard to find info on this on the web because it just turns up a lot of stuff about the notification sounds, which is not my issue.
I have three gmail accounts, two private and one for work. With all my previous phones, when I had mail incoming, I'd get one notification icon in the status bar per account. So if I had unread mail in all three accounts, I'd three gmail icons in the notification bar.
The Z2 seems to lump them all together, and I only get one single icon regardless of how many accounts have unread email. I find this quite annoying and not something I expected at ALL. (Even my first very crummy internet-capable phone did multiple notifications.) Is this a bug, or is there a way to change a setting?
Only one of my 3 gmail accounts on my phone is acting up from time to time, saying incorrect username and/or password. I know this is false because I simply wait and the problem goes away. Only this time, it's been 24 hours now and it still thinks its the wrong username and/or password. In the meantime, I'm able to use that username and password on my laptop with no problems. I've tried deleting the account on my phone and adding it again, but it still thinks incorrect username and/or password.

I have multiple gmail accounts set up on my Xoom. Everything is good except the Market. Sometimes my Market app will switch accounts and act like I only have 5 installed apps (probably just the preinstalled apps). It's easy enough to switch back to the right account.

When I get an email I like how the blackberry automatically opens up the email application if I pull it out of the holster.The only problem is that it pulls up the Messages inbox and not my gmail account inbox.Any way to fix this or do anything about it? I have the gmail enhanced plugin if that makes a difference.Also on a totally unrelated note is there a way to search the gmail server from the gmail plugin app?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo my black berry has worked fine with one email account for about a year, but for about 2 months i've been trying to add two new email accounts. they're both gmail. so i tried the gmail app and it says " this site cannot be accessed in this manner. Please use the URL or link provided to you b your service provider." I did that and copy and pasted the link into the browser and it said the exact same thing. I then went to the settings> manage internet email and it says " We apologize, there was an error trying to access the service. Try again" The try again was a highlighted as a hyper link. When i clicked on that it took me to the Web2go website. the Browser, internet, and other apps seem to work fine. just not this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedToday I changed the passwords for my email accounts believeing them to be compromised.
My Blackberry then sent me messages to say it could no longer access those email accounts as you would expect. I tried to update the passwords on the BB but it continued to tell me the passwords were incorrect. I tried changing the email accounts to different passwords and tried to update the BB again. Still said passwords are invalid. Tried deleting the email accounts, rebooting and adding again. This time I receive an error which says "Blank password. Type a valid password" even though the field is not empty.
At a loss as to what to do now except create brand new email addresses or buy an iPhone.
I cannot edit my email accounts on the curve, I go into setup click on email accounts, highlight internet email account and click, and I am taken back to set up. This has been going on for a while someone from Rim looked at my bb and was shocked and claimed to put in a request for fix, but now 4 weeks later still nothing, and I need to remove one account and add two others.

Having completed this I click on next but instead if getting a finish icon the software goes back to the page for adding a new account. If I then click on set up a new email account the screen goes blank apart from the word 'login' at top of page. I have managed to set up one email account, but this did not need the additional settings.Phone is curve 8900.On a related matter, is there way of temporarily suspending the email on phone with out actually deleting the account.

Last night I changed my password for my email account on my PC and now cannot access it on my Blackberry. I tried to change my password on my BB but a message keeps coming up "invalid email address or password" I even tried deleting my googlemail account from my BB and then tried to re-create it but I'm still denied access. BB keeps telling me if the problem persists, then I should contact googlemail.com, but I'm not having a problem accessing my account on my PC.

When trying to add them back by going into SETUP and then clicking on EMAIL ACCOUNTS nothing happens, no errors. It just sits there.
