I have a googlemail email account which I access from either my Blackberry or my PC. Last night I changed my password for my email account on my PC and now cannot access it on my Blackberry. I tried to change my password on my BB but a message keeps coming up "invalid email address or password" I even tried deleting my googlemail account from my BB and then tried to re-create it but I'm still denied access. BB keeps telling me if the problem persists, then I should contact googlemail.com, but I'm not having a problem accessing my account on my PC.
I'm creating an email account on 4S, iOS 5.1.1 and when it comes to pop-up verifying SSL part (Below) and it require to verify 2x inorder for the email account to be set up.

I created email accounts that use POP3 to receiv and SMTP to send and find I can receive mail but my sent emails get an authentication error. I originally thought they were not being sent at all but then I decided to let them remain in the out folder. After 6 hours they were finally sent. Some take 1 1/2 hours. So it seems that to send email out with a SMTP (roadrunner account) it can take from 1 1/2 hours to 6 hours. The gmail accounts work just fine, but I don't use gmail except for people I am not sure of and do not want their emails in my roadrunner account. Yes, I have my POP3 and SMTP set up correctly. If I didn't I wouldn't be able to send or receive at all. I have removed them and put them back, turned my phone off and let it rest and turned it back on many times.
I have talked to Motorola and the person I talked to yesterday has referred the problem to a tech person further up the ladder. I have read about other problems of this kind on sites on the web when I googled a question about it, but I am not always trusting of the unknown sites. This is a Motorola help site so I am hoping the information here will be more accurate and trustworthy.
FYI, I just read something from a site that said to use gmail as the outgoing smtp. Well, I switched the smtp for one of the roadrunner accounts to use .gmail.com as the smtp. It seems to have the same problem.
I gave my 8320 to my niece , however i have two email accounts and a tmo.blackberry. email email on the phone, she is not using a data plan how do i delete the accounts off the phone? I can not find the icon for setting up email? what do i do?
I used a Storm for the last 30 days, and had 3 distinct and separate icons: Messages - catchall for everything Desktop email icon 2nd/personal email icon However, I switched back to the Curve (8530) because of the keyboard, and now I don't have a primary desktop email icon. The only way to view work email is to use the messages icon where everything else goes as well. Is there any way to create or separate the two email accounts so I can view the work email separately?
So my black berry has worked fine with one email account for about a year, but for about 2 months i've been trying to add two new email accounts. they're both gmail. so i tried the gmail app and it says " this site cannot be accessed in this manner. Please use the URL or link provided to you b your service provider." I did that and copy and pasted the link into the browser and it said the exact same thing. I then went to the settings> manage internet email and it says " We apologize, there was an error trying to access the service. Try again" The try again was a highlighted as a hyper link. When i clicked on that it took me to the Web2go website. the Browser, internet, and other apps seem to work fine. just not this?
Today I changed the passwords for my email accounts believeing them to be compromised.
My Blackberry then sent me messages to say it could no longer access those email accounts as you would expect. I tried to update the passwords on the BB but it continued to tell me the passwords were incorrect. I tried changing the email accounts to different passwords and tried to update the BB again. Still said passwords are invalid. Tried deleting the email accounts, rebooting and adding again. This time I receive an error which says "Blank password. Type a valid password" even though the field is not empty.
At a loss as to what to do now except create brand new email addresses or buy an iPhone.
I cannot edit my email accounts on the curve, I go into setup click on email accounts, highlight internet email account and click, and I am taken back to set up. This has been going on for a while someone from Rim looked at my bb and was shocked and claimed to put in a request for fix, but now 4 weeks later still nothing, and I need to remove one account and add two others.
I am trying to setup email accounts on my phone. I can get as far as the additional settings page where you input email server and username. Having completed this I click on next but instead if getting a finish icon the software goes back to the page for adding a new account. If I then click on set up a new email account the screen goes blank apart from the word 'login' at top of page. I have managed to set up one email account, but this did not need the additional settings.Phone is curve 8900.On a related matter, is there way of temporarily suspending the email on phone with out actually deleting the account.
For some reason my 9300 will not let me going into the e-mail accounts option in set-up! I need to validate my password as it has been changed on my email server. It's work up until now! any ideas guys? I've tried re-boot and making sure the software is up to date but failed.
I have stopped receiving emails from my ymail account on my BB Curve and am unable to access 'email accounts' in Set up. When I click on the icon I get a message saying 'your device had a problem connecting to the server'.
I have two email accounts associated with my phone. Up until a few days ago, I had an icon for each account showing, so that I was able to click on either or and retrieve messages. Now for some reason the icons have disappeared. How do I get them back?
I while back after installing an update on my phone from the BB site. I am not sure what the update was it was a few months ago. I lost my email accounts. When trying to add them back by going into SETUP and then clicking on EMAIL ACCOUNTS nothing happens, no errors. It just sits there. I've wiped the device earlier today and still nothing happens when I click on the Email Accounts icon.
i deleted my three personal email accounts by mistake in Bb curve 9300 O6( update) network independent.i actaully just activated blackberry internet service account and suddenly all three accounts were gone.Though i never made any account in blackbery internet service. now all emails recieved till date from those three accounts are appearing together in Message box along .i again created those three accounts again.they are working well but i can not get earlier mails ,now in message box , back into the newly created email accounts.So to look for ols mails,i need to go back to message box.
I have a replacement Blackberry while mine is in getting repaired. When I tried to activate the email account, it says that the password is incorrect. I have changed the password using my computer and my phone (options, device, blackberry id). I can log into my account on the Blackberry website using the updated password but when I try to activate the email account with the password it says incorrect. I have checked the box to show the password so I know that the password has been entered correctly. I've tried about 5 times.
I am trying to set up multiple email accounts with BIS on my Curve 9360. My existing email accounts were initially copied from a previos Blackberry (Bold 9000), but when I attempt to add an additional one, the only option I get is "Create a new email address' (the Blackberry one).
My service provider confirms to me that this is not due to them.The problem was there with OS7.0 and remains with 7.1.
I had my company email account on my Curve 9330 and it would not let me validate my account. So I deleted that account and tried to recreate it. I go to Settings>Email Accounts, but when I try to click on Internet Email Account to create it nothing happens. I can open Enterprise Account fine, but not Internet email accounts. I have two other accounts setup under that, but it will not let me access those either. BTW I am running 6.0.0.431.
I have an enterprise email account through my work. I recently added my personal account to my phone via the setup wizard. Everything works great but I was wondering if I can setup my "messages" folder so it only displays my work account? Also, I accidentally sent a few emails for work with my personal account and wanted to make sure that my work account was the "Default" email.
Cannot setup email account from my blackberry 8520. My internet on it works fine for everything else but when i try ot make account it says the gateway recieved an invalid response from the server when attempting to fufill you request. I had set up two other email account before when i first go this phone. i dot know why its not letting me do it now?
How many Personal email accounts Blackberry's are allowed to have? I have 3 Personal email accounts now and want to add more and wont allow me to add more. I have a Blackberry Curve 9300. And this comes to my next question. I am having difficulties adding and deleting an email account. When I go to "setup - email accounts - I have an option of Internet Mail Account and Enterprise Account. I select Internet Mail Account and when I select the Blackberry boots me out" I have nothing but problems with this OS 6.0 on my BB.
I have been receiving absolutly no help from my local SPRINT representatives and I am about ready to throw my blackberry out the window.I received a replacement phone for my blackberry that has a missing part and I was able to sycronize all things from the old blackberry 8330 onto the new blackberry 8530.problem is that I am not getting my emails now! When I go to set up wizard, I am not given the options to set up new accounts or to delete accounts, just to sign in and when I do, the log in and passwords are not correct even though they are.
Is there any way or app to allow me to create shortcuts to specific mail folders aside from the inbox for the stock mail application? For example, I would like to put shortcuts to the Draft and Sent folders on the Home screen.
whille creating my apple id account I entered a wrong email and didnt notice till the verification email was sent.so i just made a new apple ID with my correct email, but now i am worried about the other wrong one, cuz it got my credit card info.
I currently have a Motorola Admiral synced with our work's Microsoft Exchange server. In our Outlook email account we have certain emails redirected into subfolders in our incoming email. For example we have an inbox and under the inbox is a subfolder where all 'delivery ticket' emails are redirected into. On the Admirals there is an icon alert and also an audio alert every time there is an incoming message in our email account. However the only time we get the subfolder emails is by going into the email folder, clicking on the inbox then the subfolder and letting it refresh that way. I looked through EVERYWHERE trying to see if I could set it to automatically refresh. Also is there a reason I don't get any type of alert when an emails comes into that subfolder? I even tried adding a shortcut directly onto one of the main screens only for this subfolder but I can't do it. I can only add a shortcut for the main inbox.
I have searched other forums but have not found a fix. While configuring my Exchange signature block on my Razr it all looks great but the recipient sees phone numbers and address as hyperlinks, instead of just email address as a link. The phone and address links obviously go no where once clicked.
My girlfriend is coming up as something like 20 contacts in the Contacts app on my Samsung S5 with Android 5.0. Even if I link her contacts together, they just get automatically created again. Same think if I delete them. She has several email addresses and we share several apps together such as traffic apps, Facebook, WhatsAPP Skype, etc etc. There is a separate conact for each one. I've tried setting the "Contact to Show" setting to Device (only) but they all still show up so they must be "Device" contacts. I've also got the Contact Setting option checked for "Show only contacts with phone". Even then all her email only and app only contacts show up.
On iPhone 4s, how do I prevent personal email accounts (yahoo, gmail) from accessing my work email contact list? I want to keep my work contact list private.
