I am using my cricket sim card on this smg900a. Tried another cricket sim and it also did not work. It is not my sim either as im currently using it on another phone. Also does not appear to be a hardware issue as it detects when i insert or remove the sim. Just says No SIM, Emergency calls only.

It'll be fine for 3-4 days and then all the sudden I'll realize I haven't gotten a text in a while and I'll turn the phone on and it will say that no sim card is inserted. Typically I can get it to work again after several resets and wiping app cache and system cache so I'm assuming it's software related?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to do a factory reset on my Galaxy s5. While attempting to back-up files on my SD card I realized...I don't have an SD card. The problem with this is that my device shows many apps installed on the SD card (Settings->Device->Applications->Application manager shows apps on SD card).
There is nothing in the microSD card slot above the SIM card slot on the back of my phone. Is there another location for an SD card that I am not aware of and not seeing? If not, how is my phone reading that there are apps stored on the SD card when there is no SD card?
I have a serious problem booting my galaxy s6 g920p. i installed king root on android 5.1.1 and then opened it to root my phone (it was wrong). the phone rebooted after 4% of king root actions, and restart again and again and again!

The last time I charged my N97 it just charged continuously without stopping when the battery was full. I didnt think too much of it, but during the same day the phone froze on me. Upon rebooting it stuck on the Nokia start-up screen and just stayed like that, the phone even started to get warm. I have since tried several times to switch it on but it stays stuck on the Nokia start-up screen. Oddly enough, when I removed the SD card and switched it on it worked! I have now tried to switch it on several times with the SD card inserted, no luck, without the card, no problem at all! This is obviously not the solution to remove the SD card each time I need to switch my phone on. Could this be a software problem? Has anybody had the same issue?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a SE X10 from ATnT USA and I just flashed/debranded it so I could update to 2.1 using avinciteam.com. I followed all the steps and flashed using "X10a 2.0.A.0.504 0001 CUSTOMIZED BR". The client said everything was complete. I unplugged, and turned my phone on. And now it says there is no SIM card in my phone, and only offers emergency calls... when there is in fact a SIM card in there. I've been troubleshooting with their support team and reflashing, and still no luck. I have tried numerous other SIM cards, nothing. I think the SIM card reader has gone dead.

I subsequently changed SIM cards, but the message remained. I even hooked up the same SIM card to a different phone, which functioned, indicating that the problem lies with the phone itself. View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased a display build assembly because mine had cracked and wasn't usable and I watched some videos on how to dissassemble, took me like five hours straight to dissassrmble and reassemble it and everything works, I was shocked cause it did take some manhandling . But the only problem is, I basically have a really nice iPod touch haha. My SIM card is in the phone but it says there is no SIM card. And I tried the whole cut a tiny thin card piece and put it in on top of the SIM card, it doesn't work. I really hope I didn't mess something up in there, andit he tiny hole next to it doesn't let me even pop it out I have to stick a tiny blade in and drag it out. SIM card appears to have no damage, could I of left something unplugged in it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedHere is the poblem I have since yesterday. If I put my friend's Sim Card in my N900, everything works fine. If I put my own Sim Card into my friend's phone, everything also works fine. If I put my own sim card into my N900, and try to make call immediate after the screen boots up (icons are slow then, still loading), then it also works fine.
However if my N900 properly boots up, then I cannot make calls at all. Setting it to offline mode then normal mode will not register with my network and result in Sim Card registration error if I wait long enough. So it seems like my N900 won't take my Sim Card after booting. it will take it during booting, but some process killed it. Can someone help me solve this? I do not remember installing anything since last time it worked.

View 1 Replies View RelatedA couple of weeks ago I created a Back-Up & updated the software on my BFs BB Bold 9780, as he was getting a message saying there was no space for new photos when using the Camera, after BF had taken a photo. The photo was not stored, but there seemed to still be quite a bit of space on the Media Card.Following the update BF now gets a message each time he tries to access the Media Gallery or use the Camera, saying the the Media Card has not been formatted & providing a prompt to do so. After you format the Media Card it is possible to then take a photo. Or a couple of photos. If you try to go back to the Camera again or to access the Media Gallery the message comes back saying that the Media Card has not been formatted & provides another prompt to do so. If you follow the prompt again, you have delete all the data on the card. If you do not follow the prompt the Camera or Media Gallery does not open, you just go back to the title screen.
Last night I tried to connect BFs BB 9780 to my Laptop & after what seemed ages it hadn't connected & then when I finally disconnected the USB Cable, I received an error message on my Laptop saying the Media Card had a fatal something & could not be read...
The BB 9780 has suffered no real trauma to speak of, aside from dropped once or twice. The media card looks okay, I have removed it & put it back, still no change.

I HAVE tried the following: Formatting the card, Repairing the card, formatting the card via PC (the pc reads it fine), connecting via desktop manager, restoring backups, removing and replacing card and battery. On my last phone the card gave me no errors at all.
View 6 Replies View Relatedit was locked to the network Orange here in spain, the seller before giving it to me got it unlocked.but it doesnt not work with any other network except Orange.have tried (Vodafone,Movistar) also another t-mobile sim from germany... all give me the insert sim card(SOS) error. have checked in the options (MEPD)and all the options are disactivated, so looks like its unlocked correctly... and when i use it with a Orange sim(Original carrier) it works perfect.

The error message goes away when I'm in range of a wireless network which my phone has been set up for (my home, and where I work). Otherwise it won't receive/sent messages when I'm outside one of these zones. I've had tried opening the phone up and removing/reinserting the SIM card. It doesn't work. Now I have a phone that pretty much doesn't work, except in very small zones. What can I do to get my phone fixed. Does this sound like something I can do myself, or do I need to send it to RIM to be fixed.

My software is up to date firmware version 2.1 update 1. i even tried a brand new sd card but that came up with the same message as well. the sd card setting is as follows for both the new sd card and old one.

Had my bold 9780 a few months now, it came with a storage card 4gb. Up until yesterday I was saving all photos etc to it then today it said I had a message on screen saying "media card has suffered fatal error" I took the card out tried it in my work phone and it worked fine.I tried the card from my work phone in my BB and nothing at all.Cuurently my phone is saying " A media card is not presently inserted in the device" when clearly it is!
