I just recieved my iphone 4s this weekend. I updated to 5.1 when i recieved it, and today i started recieving sim card unavaiilable errors. I have tried reseting and restarting my phone. Could anyone point me further in the right direction.

My daughter took her sim card out of her iphone 3gs, but the phone is still receiving text messages. The phone works, but is pretty beat up, and she is now using an older phone she has till she can upgrade.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia E72 with software version 071.004. I have some problems with it when I receive SMS messages from anyone. The following situations might happen: The SMS messages arrive delayed with more than one hour or never arrive. The phone shows a "SIM card registration failed" error message and disconnects from the network immediately after the other person sends me the SMS message. In this case I have to switch it off and on again in order for it to reconnect to the GSM network.
This is very bad because most of the times I get disconnected from the network and see it hours later. These problems appeared since the very first releases of the firmware that were running on the phone. I am sure this is not a network problem because I've put my SIM card in another phone and the messages arrive instantly. I am also sure this is not a SIM card problem because I've just renewed my SIM card and the problem is still there. So by eliminating these possible causes I can only suspect the phone!

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy phone won't let me make or receive any calls, like when i go to call someone it comes up with ringing screen but then turns off and same for when people ring me ; it will come up with the screen telling me they're ringing but if i answer it just turns itself off. i have tried resetting it but it doesnt work - all my software is up to date so i cant update it. it was fine saturday morning but sunday morning wouldnt let me ring.

1) When people send me long SMS i.e over 160 characters long i keep recieving them in separate SMS and it becomes very confusing.i have owned over 7 different phones in the past and this has never been a problem. Is there any way to solve this?
2) Quite often when someone calls me, i only seem to be able to see the callers number and not the Name, this is frustating as i have no idea who is ringing.

For some reason, I can't receive emails on my @sprint.blackberry.net account. My Yahoo, AOL and Gmail work just fine. I signed up for a BB address on my phone's browser. When I try to log in on my desktop, it says my device is not accessible and I must visit the website on my phone. I have tried sending emails TO my phone and sending emails FROM my phone. Neither one works.

Four days ago my iPhone frost, and requested iTunes to connect. I plugged it in to computer and connected to iTunes. Then iTunes asked me whether i want to reset iphone to factory settings, and format it, and update new upgrade. I select OK. When the format and updating is done, iPhone gives and SIM card error. I think it requests its first SIM card that is already given within iphone at buying it. But i do not find that SIM Card? What am i supposed to do?

The last time I charged my N97 it just charged continuously without stopping when the battery was full. I didnt think too much of it, but during the same day the phone froze on me. Upon rebooting it stuck on the Nokia start-up screen and just stayed like that, the phone even started to get warm. I have since tried several times to switch it on but it stays stuck on the Nokia start-up screen. Oddly enough, when I removed the SD card and switched it on it worked! I have now tried to switch it on several times with the SD card inserted, no luck, without the card, no problem at all! This is obviously not the solution to remove the SD card each time I need to switch my phone on. Could this be a software problem? Has anybody had the same issue?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a SE X10 from ATnT USA and I just flashed/debranded it so I could update to 2.1 using avinciteam.com. I followed all the steps and flashed using "X10a 2.0.A.0.504 0001 CUSTOMIZED BR". The client said everything was complete. I unplugged, and turned my phone on. And now it says there is no SIM card in my phone, and only offers emergency calls... when there is in fact a SIM card in there. I've been troubleshooting with their support team and reflashing, and still no luck. I have tried numerous other SIM cards, nothing. I think the SIM card reader has gone dead.

I subsequently changed SIM cards, but the message remained. I even hooked up the same SIM card to a different phone, which functioned, indicating that the problem lies with the phone itself. I even did a factory reset, but to no avail.
