Having a periodic problem where the s6e says the sim card is not inserted? It'll be fine for 3-4 days and then all the sudden I'll realize I haven't gotten a text in a while and I'll turn the phone on and it will say that no sim card is inserted. Typically I can get it to work again after several resets and wiping app cache and system cache so I'm assuming it's software related?

When I go to settings to check for a software update, i frequently get a "DM not ready, SIM Card not detected" error. if I close the software update screen and re enter it works fine. Never seen that one before

Recently every time I plug it in , it keeps giving me an "No android device found message" I have been doing a lot of researching and they where saying something about enabling MTP , but I couldn't even find that on my phone. View 1 Replies View RelatedI currently have an S6 edge and for about a week now I am constantly getting error messages on the phone which are always that some app/Internet/samsung keyboard/touchwiz etc etc has had to stop. It can be sorted by closing the app, however sometimes the phone totally freezes so I have to manually reset it or it will reset itself. I have tried factory resets which have been to no gain and have even had the same error messages after a factory reset and there's nothing on the phone.

I have resetted my phone again and it still says the same thing. I have tried wiping the cache and going into safe mode but still no luck. I have cleaned it alot of times and still no luck.

When it switches on it says "SIM card not found".When I go to Options -> Advanced Options -> SIM Card it says there is "No valid sim card". What is wrong? Also, the phone is 15 months old and I am on Orange UK. There should be a 2 year warranty on all electrical devices. Are Orange obliged to fix it or do I have to go direct to RIM?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI've seen various versions of this question but haven't found an answer yet. I just bought a second hand 8900 to replace my damaged one. The problem is the device doesn't seem to be able to recognize my media card. In the options > memory it says "a media card is not presently inserted in the device". The card works fine in the old device and in a completely different type of phone from a friend. Their card is also not recognized by my device, so I've ruled out the card as the problem. I've tried all the usual fixes - battery pull, software update, etc but with no success. Is this phone just defective or am I missing something?

Ive redeemed a code on the privilege plus app which i got from the xperia lounge for 3 free movies. I wanted them on the sd card so i turned off the phone and tablet and removed the sd from the phone to my z3c tablet.
I downloaded all 3 videos on the sd and just started watching and have forgotten to place it back in the phone for like 4 days since i wasn't using it and it was off all the time. Today i turned off my tablet and placed the sd into the phone. I turned it on and what i see? 8 apps aren't visible because there's a red sign next to it that apparently its on the sd but its just not reading it. I dont even know what apps are they apart from 4 games because i have them on my home screen and the names under it. Otherwise it says "app not found" when i press on it.
I just wanted to ask if there is some app or something to make my edge glow while screen off.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've just bought a Nokia 5800 and downloaded the latest version of Ovi Maps. I'd rather use this in offline mode, and it works well about 60% of the time. But quite often I get the error "route not found" when I try and set a route. The only way round this is to go online, and then a route can always be found.Having looked on the web I see a lot of people are having this problem but I haven't found a definitve fix yet. I've tried unistalling and reinstalling but the problem persists.

After following all the help available on the Blackberry site to no avail, the cause of the above error codes was a web site down problem. It turns out that when you try to download the blooover.jar or the blooover.jad files to your phone you get the error message 907 invalid jar or jad file not found due to the [URL].. web site being down. Any other .jar or .jad file that I tried was not a problem.

View 3 Replies View RelatedPurchased a new SD card by Transcend 32G. It could not be found in the phone when inserted. I formatted the card on my PC after these failings, readily recognized there....and did a quick format and a soft reset, as well as a Hard Reset. Still the phone would not recognize the Card. More Reading. Back to the PC did a "slow" Format, turned off the phone and did a hard reset. At the large exclamation point I inserted the SD card and pushed the series of buttons to begin the "turning on of the phone". In my earlier formats and resets I didn't attempt to install the card until after the reset had been completed. My thinking in the last instance was "maybe" the phone would re-format the card.

Now I have the latest firmware, I cannot seem to use voice dialling effectively anymore. It either says "No match found" or dials the wrong person. I think I remember doing a voice training exercise when I had the old firmware in which I said lots of different people's names but can't seem to find that on the new firmware. View 11 Replies View RelatedI received my new Nokia 5800XM yesterday and was told in-store that the GPS would work automatically. So went home and tried it for the first time, it discovered my position in under 5 minutes, and I was super excited as I got the phone solely for the purpose of navigating my way around the new city I had just moved to. However, when selected the "drive", "walk" or "search" options it didn't give any results for my searches for addresses. I tried a bunch of variations on the names of places and even used google maps as a reference of how to write out the addresses but it has a standard "no results found" every time. It also jumps between "searching online" and "searching offline". I visited the Nokia website to see if I could find a solution, and subsequently upgraded the software on my phone, downloaded the maps installer, the map loader and the multimedia transfer. I then deleted all the existing maps and installed the map for my country and a voice.
It is still, despite having no problem with connectivity, not giving me any search results. Is there some place that you set the phone to search the maps installed on the memory card? As I think that the phone searches online and the connectivity might be interrupted? really have no clue about these things. searched everywhere and couldn't find setting for this. I can scroll through the map and manually select a place, after which the GPS works fine except - the voice isn't working! Does it talk out loud? or do you need your headphones? This is fine if you're going somewhere that you know, but that's kind of defeating the point of having GPS, no? Another small problem is that I have a constant flashing little envelope in the right top corner, it says that "SIM card is full" - but I can't find a directory for the SIM card? It's been flashing since the moment I put the SIM in the phone, but never did it with my old phone. Any idea where I can access the SIM information and delete some of it?

I have reset app preferences and tried this in safe mode with the same results. I have tried several browsers as the default with no difference.
