Galaxy S6 :: No App Found To Open URL On Certain Websites?
Aug 25, 2015
When searching something within the Google App, there is no issues with the search itself, however when I click on a link to certain websites (Wikipedia is the biggest one I have noticed), I get the message "No App Found to Open URL". I have reset app preferences and tried this in safe mode with the same results. I have tried several browsers as the default with no difference.
WM 6.1 upgrade went without problem, but now I have issue with Wi-Fi access.PIE is unable to open any websites if the phone connects to any secured wireless network.(WEP, WPA, WPA2)Only time the wi-fi would work is when I connect to non-secured network. When I was on WM 6.0, I had no issues what so ever, so this is a new problem and I know I setup the network correctly. (Router issues IP address and network card receives IP address.)Looks like it happened to couple of others as well, but there does not look to be any remedy for it.
Of course about 90% of the time I will be connecting to non-secured network, so it should not be a too large an issue, but if possible, I would like to fix this.According to the search, only remedy I have seen is a guy contacting Samsung and getting WM 6.0 re-flashed on the phone. Other than 6.0 reflash, could there be any other potential resolution that I have overlooked?
how do i view websites in full like i do on my pc and not as mobile websites. i am trying to view ebay site but i keep getting the mobile version. i have even tried to type in the full ebay site address [URL] in the address bar but it still defaults to the mobile version site. same with facebook.
Having a periodic problem where the s6e says the sim card is not inserted? It'll be fine for 3-4 days and then all the sudden I'll realize I haven't gotten a text in a while and I'll turn the phone on and it will say that no sim card is inserted. Typically I can get it to work again after several resets and wiping app cache and system cache so I'm assuming it's software related?
I can't figure out why my S6 can't connect to my PC via WiFi using SideSync ... it appears SideSync installed properly on both my phone and my PC (Windows 7) and it works via USB, but I really want it to connect wirelessly.
Both devices "search" .. but the phone times out and/or the PC reports "No Device Found". Both have WiFi enabled ...
I just reinstalled the App on both devices ... now it works ... when in doubt, start over, I guess ...
I purchased an Unlocked Samsung Galaxy S5 on Amazon in March to use with AT&T. Since I purchased the phone I've been having continued issues with the GPS specifically when using Google Maps and Waze for GPS directions. The location services works fine for every other app, including Swarm/Foursquare, Weather and Facebook...there are no issues finding my location for these applications.
When using Waze: I will always get the "No GPS. Showing approximate location." error every time I attempt to use the app.
When using Google Maps: The phone does not track along with my progress through the turn-by-turn navigation. The GPS will follow me along the route, but the application will not provide the turn-by-turn updates as I progress along the route (it will stay stuck on the first step of the trip throughout).
I've already attempted to clear data, clear cache and force stop the apps several times, I've used the GPS Status app to download GPS assistance data as well as using it to reset the GPS cache. The application is unable to find GPS location, no matter how long I leave it running and regardless of whether I'm sitting outdoors on a completely clear sky or indoors, there's no luck with the app.
This really starting to get on my nerves, and I'm considering just doing a factory reset of the phone in the hopes that doing so will reset the GPS as well (I'm assuming I must have done something along the way during the set-up when I first started up the phone).
Managed to get GS2 to connect to my home network wirelessly Also managed to connect GS2 to my laptop via USB, eventually But, cannot connect to laptop wirelessly - laptop just doesn't see it on the network?when connected to my home wireless network, does the phone just use that for internet access or do I have to turn something off to avoid using my monthly allowance?
I have been using my Galaxy s6 to connect to my iMac for about a month. Recently every time I plug it in , it keeps giving me an "No android device found message" I have been doing a lot of researching and they where saying something about enabling MTP , but I couldn't even find that on my phone. The android version I am using is 5.0.2.
As the title says, my play store app is now opening randomly and interrupting whatever i'm trying to open but not to a specific app or anything. Its just opening to an "item not found / retry" page. Seems to be since this latest security patch from VZW over the weekend. I've cleared cache and data from the play store app as well as play services.
Whenever I try to search the android market on my SGS II with Lite'ning Rom 5.0 it says "No Results Found.". I've tried both over wifi and 3g, same thing. It doesn't matter what I search for (Swiftkey, Angry Birds, Google Docs") it's always the same thing. If I search the Android Market in my web browser, pretty much every app says:This app is incompatible with all of your devices.
The Google search widget isnt working as well as holding the home button to open now. I type in my search, get the loading icon, it disappears like it's done loading but it's blank. No error messages. Can't find any "google now" or "Google search" in app manager.
When attempting to log into certain sites after entering the user name and password, the site just goes right back to the log on page. I see this question was raised before, but I do not see any fix presented.
tried to use wap.sonyericsson.com/fun Nimbuzz is not available for download on mobile, where as if I check the same on website via laptop, same is available as free but can not be downloaded on pc.
I can no longer log onto my Internet banking site. It lets me into the site, but once I enter the relevant correct details, it simply reloads the same page. It's not the bank's site, as my I can do it from my wife's Iphone 3gs. I did recently upgrade the software.
On my Xoom, I was able to log onto my bank's website but the page would not scroll to enable reading the bottom half. I could pinch and expand easily, but not scroll at all. Is this a function of the bank's software limitation or is there something on the Xoom that I can enable?
I only use my Galaxy S5's default text messaging app whenever I txt with friends. Whenever they send me a link to go check out I will select that link and it will ask if I want to open with chrome or use another application. I click "always" when selecting chrome and it says "clear default app settings by going to settings..." and on and on. I click on OK and proceed to the link.
The problem I have is that this happens every single time. It always asks if I always want to run the same application I've always said to always use. What is my phone not understanding about always running the same program? Is there something I'm not understanding?
I just bought a 5530 & mostly it works as intended. But I am having a problem trying to connect to a lot of websites, using wi-fi, not mobile phone network.I am on my home wi-fi connection, playing alongside my PC, which allows me to compare simultaneously. My usual method of finding sites for the first time is to Google the name, then click on the best link, then bookmark for later. (This is my normal PC approach.) Mostly that works, but I find with the Nokia that many sites do not connect. One example is "travelodge.com" If I Google that, I see a first hit with green address "www.travelodge.com/PHONE SYMBOL." Clicking on that link gets me nowhere, except a time-out message. I tried entering the address "http://www.travelodge.com/" directly, but get the same result.
The next hit down on the Google page is "travelodge.co.uk" with a green address "www.travelodge.co.uk/" Clicking on that link gets me right to that site OK, like many other sites.Other sites which similarly will not connect are "super8.com" & "ramada.com". It sems that when the Google hit shows a PHONE SYMBOL in the address then I can't get there, whether I try via Google or directly.
I just started noticing that the images on any website look really crappy...as if with a really bad resolution...they dont look clear at all..the color on them seems to dark..as if cartoony.. =(
The pics on my memory card all look clear when i view them..even the ones i take with the camera..but everything i view online seems to be wrong..
Did i mess up its resolution?? Or are my web settings wrong?? I tried doing a battery pull and even taking the memory card out but nothing...what can be wrong. It bothers me to look at pics that way!!! They look like they have a watercolor affect on them...i cant put a pic up so im trying to explain myself very clearly here.
Just got my 9700 today, love it! Been messing with it all afternoon. One odd little thing, tho'.the font on websites is soooo tiny its ridiculous. Also my Quicklaunch that I brought over from my other phone, just this tiny little box comes up and again with tiny font. How can I fix this??
i bought black berry 9700 bold and i like it but i have a problem that i cant view some numbers and information in some websites (it doesnt show but in my computer everything is ok )for example in this website i cant see some of the information www.msm.gov.com...like what under the gainers list
I have an old Blackberry 7730, which is on the Virgin network, and the browser is okay but when I try to login to a secure website, it says this cannot be accessed with your current security settings, and to contact yhour service provider.
I am using a proxy server to access websites on a ATT Bold 9000 device. When i set the browser to MediaNet, i am unable to browse websites. I get the above error message. I do NOT see this message when i use the Blackberry or Internet browser. When i look at the logs, i see an error message:" a net.rim.browser - net.rim.device.cldc.io.ippp.SocketBaseIOException: java.io.IOException: none Connection Handler does not exist".
