Sep 14, 2012I have just done a software repair from PC Helper to enable me to be able to access the Android Marketplace. (something I've not been able to do since the day I got the phone, over a year ago).However, this has done a factory reset & I am now no longer able to access Facebook, which has been no problem since I got the phone.I'm getting a message which says 'an error had occurred during the sign in. try again later'?

BB Curve 8900 :: Images On Websites Look Crappy
Feb 13, 2010I just started noticing that the images on any website look really crappy...as if with a really bad resolution...they dont look clear at all..the color on them seems to dark..as if cartoony.. =(
The pics on my memory card all look clear when i view them..even the ones i take with the camera..but everything i view online seems to be wrong..
Did i mess up its resolution?? Or are my web settings wrong?? I tried doing a battery pull and even taking the memory card out but nothing...what can be wrong.It bothers me to look at pics that way!!! They look like they have a watercolor affect on them...i cant put a pic up so im trying to explain myself very clearly here.

Jan 21, 2012My wifi was working fine at caribou a few weeks ago, but all of a sudden it doesn't load web pages. I am connected to the wifi, and at the bottom is loads the bar all the way but doesn't show the website I'm trying to get on. I've tried everything. Don't know what to do. I have a blackberry curve 8520.

Feb 19, 2010My wife accidently going through her contacts went to the very top where there's a drop down menu for Phone or Contacts. It went to Contacts. Now whenever she goes to her contacts a message pops up saying Sign In or Sign Up to OVI. She's been on the phone now with Nokia for 2 hours trying to resolve.Anyone out there have any ideas?
And by the way, are other brands of phones this bad, what with setting up loops like this can't be broken. Or, like what I've read here and elsewhere, all the problems with the Lock Code? I mean, it seems Nokia needs to go back to the drawing board and work on their user interface.

Sep 22, 2012I can't turn my phone on.For the last week, every time I plugged the charger in, the screen would go white, and then a battery with a red cross through would show up.If I removed and replaced the battery several times then eventually it would reboot, I took to a phone shop yesterday and they unscrewed the phone and re-screwed it together again, and the battery sign didn't appear again and appeared to be working fine again.However, last night I attempted to charge the phone again, and the battery sign appeared again and now will not go off. The phone is completely useless. I've tried a new battery, with no luck. What should I do?

Aug 22, 2012my 8520 stopped working around a month and a half ago maybe a little longer, it wouldnt charge when plugged into the charger, i tried a veriety of different things to see if it worked but nothing did, i have now bought a new battery for my 8520, before putting the new battery in, i decided to try and turn my phone on with my old battery in it, but had no luck. so i took my old battery out and placed my new one in and the red light came on in the top right corner, it then came up with a charging sign on the screen then a red cross appeared ontop of it, a loading bar then came on underneath it and it grew longer very slowly, so i thought i'd leave it to see if it needed time to charge and load, when i came ack to have a look at it after about 15 mins it looked exactly the same so i then tried turning my phone on/off bye pressing the red end call button, when i did that the battery with the red cross through went off the screen and then the word 'blackberry' in white writing appeared as if it was then being switeched on and then the little loading sign came on underneath, shortly after that it just went back

May 17, 2012In my thread of "application installation issues", it seems to be determined that my carrier who I got the phone from, is blocking the install of applications as I get a 910 error, application authorization failure, when i try to install an application from: [URL]. After some searching, I've come across BBSAK, which I use to wipe the phone and reload the oS. I've also come across the tool "vendelete" which deletes the vendor.xml files.
So I do the following:
1. Uninstall the original carrier OS from pc.
2. Install OS from different carrier to pc.
3. Use vendelete to get rid of the xml files which it says no xml files were found.
4. Use bbsak to wipe the oS.
5. Reload the OS.
But when the phone boots up, it still shows the sign of the carrier which I don't want, so I presume nothing has been updated? since when I try to install the application again, I still get the 910 error.

Apr 9, 2012My wife has a curve 8520. when she tries to use the browser to sign in to yahoo email she fills in her userid and password but the sign in button dosn't work, nothing happens when she clicks it does she have to enable something in the browser configuration? she doesn't have a Blackberry data plan as yet so we realise she can't use BBM or facebook app etc but I would have thought the browser should work as she has an internet plan.

Since May, this is no longer an option and it's extremely annoying and frustrating! Aug 22, 2010Just typed a whole msge, then think I deleted it by pressing the back button by mistake, so apologies if this has gone out twice! I've had my 'curve 8900', 4 over a yr now & never had any major probs until now. I updated my phone about 3 mths ago, but as I had bn using my (dare I say) iTouch, I hadn't used my web browser. anyhow, whilst out one day, I had 2 use my BB as my itouch doesn't have 3G & my phone froze after clicking on the browser button & a strange msge came up which said "Uncaught exception: java.lang.illegalArgumentException" . I then had 2 do a battery pull 4 my phone 2 work again. I tried again at home, but same problem occurred. I backed up & updated my phone less than a wk ago, hoping this would fix it, but the same problem keeps re-occurring. I've searched the forums 4 about 90 mins, but haven't come across this same msge with any other user.
