Galaxy S6 :: SideSync 3.0 - No Device Found When Trying To Connect Via WiFi
May 9, 2015
I can't figure out why my S6 can't connect to my PC via WiFi using SideSync ... it appears SideSync installed properly on both my phone and my PC (Windows 7) and it works via USB, but I really want it to connect wirelessly.
Both devices "search" .. but the phone times out and/or the PC reports "No Device Found". Both have WiFi enabled ...
I just reinstalled the App on both devices ... now it works ... when in doubt, start over, I guess ...
I have been using my Galaxy s6 to connect to my iMac for about a month. Recently every time I plug it in , it keeps giving me an "No android device found message" I have been doing a lot of researching and they where saying something about enabling MTP , but I couldn't even find that on my phone. The android version I am using is 5.0.2.
I have a Nokia 2680 and I fully charged my bluetooth earpieces. On my phone, I set the Bluetooth on, gave my phone a name and selected phone's visibility to all. When I try to add a paired device to add the bluetooth, it gives me a message saying no device found. The bluetooth earpiece is right next to the phone. Can anyone help?
Today my Z2 decided it will not connect to any WiFi device, have tried five different wifi routers and none connects. Have also reset my phone twice and still the problem is there..
I have a blackberry bold 9700 and I got it a few days ago and every since then I've been trying to get the wifi working. The phones unlocked by the way. I set up the WiFi fine but in manage connections I have my network in green beside my WiFi and a white tick to the right and its supposed to be a green checkmark. I am assuming.
No matter what I do my WiFi symbol wont light up white its still gray and I set up the WiFi and it says it successfully connected but still no WiFi. Is it my phone settings or my internet or my phone I don't know right now. I have a linksys router and I'm with rogers andnew to blackberrys.
2 days back I purchased storm 2 9520.When ever I try to connect my device to internet with wifi it is showing unable to get IP address.I am unable to understand what to do with my device. Please help as I am new bee to blackberry family. And more over this is my first expensive devise.
The Bluetooth on the my Blackberry Curve 9300 was working fine until recently. I am unable to pair my Blackberry with a Car Multi-media Kit (part of a McIntosh Sat Nav/Stereo system in a Subaru).I have tried both "Search" and "Listen" under the Bluetooth Options menu and get the following respective messages "No new device found" and "No device paired".
I recently deleted the previously paired Car Multi-media Kit (as it stopped connecting for some reason) but I am not sure if this is cause of the problem. There is no issue with the bluetooth in the Car Multi-media Kit as I was able to pair separately both an Iphone and an Ipod.
I recently moved into my friend's place and have tried connecting to our netgear wifi, however when searching through the available wifi list it says this network is "not in range." I am standing right next to the router so I do not understand why this is happening but I desperately need to get this solution resolved asap. Any input on how I can connect to this wifi? I've tried the obvious method of unplugging it and rebooting, but that didn't do anything. I can connect on my laptop just fine, however my S5 will not even recognize it as a viable option.
There is a picture on the router that has a lock on top of a signal, however I cannot seem to turn this off. I do not know if this is the culprit. When I try to turn it off (by clicking it or holding down the button) it merely starts blinking, however I cannot get the light pertaining to this button to turn off entirely.
I have a S2 with 2.3.3 installed. I did upgrade previously using Kies. I now want to connect the phone to Kies, but it does not work properly.I connect the phone to the PC and it is detected by Windows. I can even browse the files in Windows Explorer. When I start Kies, it just says "Connecting..." but fails after a while with error "Can not start service on device". The phone screens shows that I am connected to Kies.
I know this seems backwards but I have a very good reason. my cellular data is unlimited and my jetpack Mobil wifi from another service is not. I keep both on while driving to enable consistent Internet for Internet radio for instance.
When i try to flash my n900 it says usb device not found. waiting. when i connect my n900 in usb mode it does nothing.im using windows vista please help!
I'm currently overseas trying to get data to work on my unlocked/unrooted S5. I'm able to use a Jamaica Digicel chip in my phone to make and receive calls and text, but can't connect to data, unless using wifi.
Since I've had success on my last query I have another now. I have a Vodafone VBH-600, aka 6xx plantronics bluetooth headset and I cannot get it to pair with the 5230-"device not found" is all I get. Is it not compatible or like last problem is there just a simple solution?
I have done a clean install of Desktop Software 7.1 but when I connect my 9900 the PC looks for the driver for the rim composite device but can't find it.
I have followed all of the troubleshooting tips but DM manager still won't respond when my new 9900 is connected. I have no problems connecting my 9700 and PlayBook.
I have a new S6 on Verizon and am trying to connect to the WiFi network at my office. I'm able to connect to the WiFi at my home, but that's the only other one I've tried.
The WiFi at work uses a dual-step authentication, where you connect to the WiFi and then browse to an internet site, where you are first directed to a page where I must accept their Terms & Conditions. However, this page is never shown on my phone - the browser just said there is no network.
In fact, when I click on Connect on the WiFi entry for my office network, it says "Connecting..." and then nothing. No WiFi icon in the status bar or any error is shown.
I've shown this to our IT folks and they have no answer - they simply state that everyone else is able to connect (although I have the only S6 it seems).
I've read through the WiFi troubleshooting guide I've seen in other posts, but nothing seemed to work.
I've rebooted the phone, "forgot" the wifi and re-created it - nothing works.
The phone is running Android 5.1.1
I've contacted Verizon support and they suggested that I do a factory reset on the phone, but I hate to go to such an extreme step. Is there any way I can debug the issue to determine why it is not connecting on the WiFi?
My wifi connection works great with my home router and at my public library (where I don't need authentication) but anywhere else where I need to logon to wifi (three establishments now) , I can't connect. My password seems to get taken and from the wifi screen it looks to be connected initially but then keeps trying to connect but never actually does.
I have an issue with my Verizon S5. I suddenly have a problem connecting to wifi networks. When I go into the settings>wifi I can see networks no problem but when I select one to connect to there are two options, connect and cancel. For some reason the connect option is grayed out, well actually its light blue. The network I'm trying to connect to is secure and I have the password but even when I enter the password I can't select the connect option. I connected to a hotel network just last night no problem and today I have this.
My wife have Galaxy S5's, I have a Note 3 and tablets with my children also have a laptop that all connect to WIFI to internet with no problem - EXCEPT My wife GALAXY S5. The Galaxy S5 is working fine until recent upgrade to Lolipop 5. I have check my router and I could see the connection of the Galaxy S5 in the wireless device list. I have tried few approach as below none of them worked out.
1) Forgetting the connection and re-connect doesn't work. 2) I tried static IP address for connection and it doesn't work as well. 3) Even tried wipe the cache partition and it didn't work out as well. 4) Factory reset the phone and yet the internet connection via home wifi failed
I both have Galaxy S5's, each have tablets & my son has iPad, also have a laptop that all connect to WIFI to internet no problem - EXCEPT MY GALAXY S5. I don't understand what is going on. I have gone into my router, can see the phone there in the list of connected devices. Checked to see if the phone was blockedIt seems that my wifi on my phone is connecting to the router, then off, then on, then off. Sometimes it connects for like 10 seconds, then I can open a page, then it wont go again.
Is there a way I can go into my application manager on the phone & force stop the wifi or delete the cache on the wifi? it is clear that the issue is on the S5's end.
I am trying to connect to wifi hotspot from Samsung S2, but after turning on, it starts scanning and shows the available Networks under Wifi Networks and after connecting to one of them for 4-5 mins, it disconnects and under Wireless and Networks it shows:
Trying to install my BB on my new laptop w/Windows 7 Professional. Tells me "device driver software not found," troubleshooting says driver not compatible with this version of Windows. I had no problem with my old Vista. Tried to register for support but since I can't get my phone onto my laptop it would not let me.
I am trying to upgrade my Neo V to ICS android (4.0.2.a.0.62). While having the PCC on to latest version, and connect the mobile , software will identify it with no issues. I have been connecting both with MTP and MSC modes. The update starts, downloads from internet and prepares the laptop with no issue. When the sequence gives command to mobile to shutdown and start for the update then, I can hear the sound of reconnection, the led is green, on pc it find a new hardware (SEMC flash) and then freezes. I have tried with USB debug active and not with no difference.
I have tried with Unknown sources (under application) active and not with no difference. I tried the same in windows safe mode with the same result. I tried the Update service also and anytime I connect (press and hold menu or back key and then plug) freezes always. I removed any antivirus on mobile with no result. On PC when connected I can see on the device manager that the usb drivers are Microsoft ones. I have downloaded the Android SDK tools (including usb drivers) but as long as the process stucks on the Found new hardware, I cannot proceed further. I am running on WinXP Pro.
I can not get my galaxy s5 to automatically connect to 4G after being connected to wifi, the smart network switch is activated however it doesn't make any difference. the only way for me to reconnect to my network is to restart the device.
Just bought a new Samsung S5 and I'm unable to connect to FB via the wif connection at home. We have a newer Linksys router and everything else in the house works fine (laptops, PC's, Kindle, PlayStation). Is there a setting somewhere on the phone or the router that is keeping me from connecting?
I'm a new android user. The problem I'm having is that when my wifi drops out or if I come home the Internet on my phone does not switch back from mobile data to wifi. I'm with bigpond and I have put the password into my phone and I don't need to put the password in each time but when I go to wifi settings it says sign in required and I press connect and the wifi turns on. As soon as I come home or the Internet drops out it switched back to 3G and doesn't connect back to wifi unless I do what I mentioned above.
The advanced setting on the wifi are Proxy-none Ip settings DHCP Signal strength- very strong Security wpa2 psk
I also have the smart network switch toggled to off. I have reset my telstra router.
I've wasted a lot of my mobile data this week before I realised that when I left the house or the net dropped out my phone was staying on 3G and not switching back to wifi the way my iPhone and every other phone I've owned did.
