I am using a proxy server to access websites on a ATT Bold 9000 device. When i set the browser to MediaNet, i am unable to browse websites. I get the above error message. I do NOT see this message when i use the Blackberry or Internet browser. When i look at the logs, i see an error message:" a net.rim.browser - net.rim.device.cldc.io.ippp.SocketBaseIOException: java.io.IOException: none Connection Handler does not exist". [code]
I have a BB 9000 and have recently taken it abroad where I have a separate SIM and BB account with a local network provider.Everything has been working perfectly since I changed SIM to the local provider (BBM, receiving email messages, Facebook notifications etc.). Recently though I've only been able to send emails if replying to an existing email. If I compose a new email the send option is missing. If I save as draft I lose all the data in the 'to' field. Having read the forums I've deleted the service books, done a battery pull, re-registered the host routing table and re-sent the service books (on my local network provider's page).I'm still in the same position whereby the send option is missing when I compose a new email but it's not missing if I choose to reply to an email.
I have a Bold 9000, and some websites don't even work when I'm browsing. I'm assuming it's because they have javascript, flash, or whatever. Also, some pages I browse tell me I'm using an old browser and should update to a newer one. Right now, the "support javascript" and all those boxes are checked. I'm using Firefox. Are there better mini browsers to use? Where can I download the add-ons like javascript and such?
I have an old Blackberry 7730, which is on the Virgin network, and the browser is okay but when I try to login to a secure website, it says this cannot be accessed with your current security settings, and to contact yhour service provider.

This just started last week. I can access contect from the apps fine (like facebook) BUT If I try to access facebook or another website that needs login and password entered, the phone browser kicks it back saying that the login and password was invalid. Now I can log into those same sites fine on the PC.

Since i have upgraded to ios 5.1.1 on my iphone 4s, I'm having wifi issues. I'm connected to wifi but unable to browse the web, it says no connection, though my laptop uses the same connection and gives no such problem.
Same is happening with my Nokia C5-00, i am unable to browse the web, cleared the browser cache, but nothing is happening, SIS applications are using the most of the phone memory.
I have an issue with my e72-1 at the moment. It's either the phone, the ovi software.I have the following: Nokia e72 < acts as modem via cable or bluetooth > laptop..When it acts over modem via either cable or bluetooth, I can only access certain sites eg.I can't access google, or msn messenger for instance I can access wikipedia, and my ISPs website as an example.Originally I thought it was because it was only able to access australian servers, but this isn't the case. My browser just seems unable to get a connection to certain sites/servers ever - it times out when i try to view google - but only when my phone is the link to the internet. On the phone, I can access every site/server that I want. But not on my laptop via the phone. When I'm on another internet connection (home or work etc), I have no issues connecting to those sites/servers from my laptop.Browsing google over other connections has not helped me find a solution yet. The connection to the net is stable - it doesn't drop out and can remain connected indefinitely.I'm running:
Laptop version: windows7, with ovi 2.2.0.241
Phone version: 031.023
The results have been the same on earlier versions of the phone and ovi software. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have the problem with my Nokia E72. When I browse web by using wifi, on finishing it crash with message SYSTEM ERROR. The only way to make this message disappear is to take off the battery
My Blackberry torch is on software 6.0 Bundle 2647 and was added yesterday to our company BES Express.
I am now nolonger able to browse over WiFi (with 3g data turned off), it comes up with the message 'Data Services are disabled. Go to Mobile Network to enable'
I talked with our BES Express adminstrator who believe they are not able to control / limit the browser usage through the BES admin.
I just purchased a Blackberry Bold 9700 because I was really drawn to the WiFi feature. I can't seem to get it to work. I have connected to my home WiFi network no problem. It says the name of the network on the top of my home screen and it also says you have successfully connected to the router. But when I go to the browser I get "403 Forbidden, try another page" I don't understand why this doesn't work. It's very frustrating. There's a check mark next to the wifi connection, why can't i get on the internet?
I have a bold 9700 that I just purchashed from Wind Mobile. I also have a WRT160N Linksys modem. I can connect to the wireless connection and I have verified that my phone's settings are on the hotspot browser. I have entered my BB pin into the basic wireless settings when i type access my network system at 192.168.1.1 but nothing seems to work. I always get "invalid address:"
Unable to browse websites on wifi with my BB Configuration:-Successfully connected to wi-fi devices at home & officeStatus of supporting service books is OK. i.e. IPPP for 5, Wi-fi TCP browser, Wi-Fi TCP/IP Transport
I am using BB curve 9300 and I have both BIS as well wifi connection on however I am unable to browse. When ever I click on Google or try to open any page it just get closed automatically. When ever I am trying to login with Gtalk/yahoo messenger it is showing connection error 65.
I'm new to blackberry. I don't have problems connecting to wifi, but the problem is once I'm connected, I cannot browse any website. Maybe my connection preference is to Mobile Networks Only, but how do I change that? I cannot search it from the options menu. I'm using blackberry torch 9800.
when i connect to a wifi i cant browse thru internet even the market. what should i do? i already done the factory reset settings..but still got the same problem.
i recently bought this blackberry curve 8520. As per said in earlier posts, that to use wi-fi..we should keep our settings on hot-spot browser.Even after keeping to that settings, i am unable to browse using wi-fi in my college. Only a wi-fi web page gets opened thats it...
WM 6.1 upgrade went without problem, but now I have issue with Wi-Fi access.PIE is unable to open any websites if the phone connects to any secured wireless network.(WEP, WPA, WPA2)Only time the wi-fi would work is when I connect to non-secured network. When I was on WM 6.0, I had no issues what so ever, so this is a new problem and I know I setup the network correctly. (Router issues IP address and network card receives IP address.)Looks like it happened to couple of others as well, but there does not look to be any remedy for it.
Of course about 90% of the time I will be connecting to non-secured network, so it should not be a too large an issue, but if possible, I would like to fix this.According to the search, only remedy I have seen is a guy contacting Samsung and getting WM 6.0 re-flashed on the phone. Other than 6.0 reflash, could there be any other potential resolution that I have overlooked?
I've just got my new Nokia X6 a few days ago, and thought I'd play around a little with it. I then spotted an issue where I wasn't able to browse the internet (or any other internet application for that matter) without disconnecting the WiFi connection every time I want to load a new website or load a new page in the Ovi Store. The Router I am using is only running 54 Mbps, and I'm now using it with the password disabled, just to try if that changed anything, it didn't. I havn't been able to try using a 3G connection yet, as my service provider has somehow failed at supplying me with it at the moment.
I use a Nokia N900. I have successfully connected the phone to my email provider using IMAP4/SSL. I can view incoming email notifications, and send new messages. I can also browse the content of all folders, except for the "inbox" folder. The way my provider (Rackspace.com) sets up the email account, all folders reside under the "inbox" folder. It appears that the N900's email application does not recognize the "inbox" folder as location which contains both sub folders and messages; when I try to open the "inbox" and list messages, the application briefly shows the busy indicator, but then nothing happens (it does not show the folder content). I can successfully view the content of any other folder (which does not have sub folders), it's just the "inbox" which is giving me problems. Is there a solution to this problem?
I got my x10 mini pro today but cannot get my phone to work with my home network. It's says it's connected but when I try to use the browser, facebook etc., it won't load pages (these are only working through mobile internet).
When i connect my bb bold 9780 to my home wifi it connects to the network but iam unable to browse the internet. iam sure iam typing in the correct SSID and password. when i try to access the internet it gives an error message "unable to find the requested server". this is the case when iam trying to connect to other wifi connections as well outside my home.but i do not have any problems in connecting to wifi hotspots and it works perfectly fine?
Just got a bell version but waiting to get it unlocked. In the meantime, I've been using it without a sim card but for some reason, I try to set up email and it asks for a sim card. I can browse, gps navigation, facebook and other web based apps but not email. Is there a solution for this?
