BlackBerry :: 9000 Unable To Fix Missing Send Option
May 25, 2010
I have a BB 9000 and have recently taken it abroad where I have a separate SIM and BB account with a local network provider.Everything has been working perfectly since I changed SIM to the local provider (BBM, receiving email messages, Facebook notifications etc.). Recently though I've only been able to send emails if replying to an existing email. If I compose a new email the send option is missing. If I save as draft I lose all the data in the 'to' field. Having read the forums I've deleted the service books, done a battery pull, re-registered the host routing table and re-sent the service books (on my local network provider's page).I'm still in the same position whereby the send option is missing when I compose a new email but it's not missing if I choose to reply to an email.
i have tried everything so far, i resent my service books, i checked the apn to make sure it was the correct provider. long story short, i have a unlocked blackberry 9790, my provider is at&t. my mms option is missing from my phone. cant find it anywhere, under text option or service book. when i switch it to my old phone 9700 it work again.
I am using a proxy server to access websites on a ATT Bold 9000 device. When i set the browser to MediaNet, i am unable to browse websites. I get the above error message. I do NOT see this message when i use the Blackberry or Internet browser. When i look at the logs, i see an error message:" a net.rim.browser - net.rim.device.cldc.io.ippp.SocketBaseIOException: java.io.IOException: none Connection Handler does not exist". [code]
I have BB Bold 9000 (v.4.6.0.303). I upgraded the BBM to verion 5 (5.0.0.57), and cannot send any media files using BBM - whether it's a picture, voice file, you name it. The options simply don't exist in my BBM menu.
My blackberry 9930 have been frustrating since I got it about 6mths ago. It's from one problem to another. RIM really needs to do something about this. To say it's frustrating is an understatement. My latest problem is that I am unable to send SMS. I keep getting a red cross and Call barred reply. I am able to receive SMS as well as make and receive phone calls. I pulled my sim out of my blackberry and put it in another phone to be sure that it wasn't my carrier (MTN) that had a problem. I was able to send the SMS with another phone.
On my Blackberry bold 9000 since last night (approximately) I have not been receiving e-mails however I am still able to send e-mails.On the diagnostics check everything came back as yes apart from connected to e-mail, however this is the first time this has happened and I have confirmed that I have entered the correct log in details. Does anyone have any ideas on why this is happening as I would have thought that if I wasn't connected to my e-mail account that I would not have been able to send e-mails? Any help would be appreciated, I am a UK Vodafone user.
Well look like RIM its having problem again, my users can not send emails. I have half of the with the same problem every time the send an email they receive an error that says message include an invalid address
I have been using my 9900 for 3 months now between 2 countries. It seems there are always problems cropping up whenever I arrive at the other country (SIM Swap). most problems are easily solved with resending Service Books and/or Battery Pull. However my latest problem can't be solved regardless whatever I did. There is no sound whenever a new email gets push to my Phone, also, i only have a "Save Draft" option BUT NOT "Send" option. I can't send mail now.Things I have done.1. Battery Pull2. Re-registering my email (after deleting Service Books and the removing the email from device)3. Called my local provider who claims to resolve the issue but to no avail.
I have a Blackberry Torch. I used to be able to send MMS and access the internet, then my handset was replaced, and suddenly I couldn't access the internet. Now the internet is fixed but I can't send MMS. A large red cross just appears whenever I try to. When I call my provider, they say everything is active on my account, and I've had to go through the settings with them numorous times each time I call up because they don't believe me when I say I've done it all before. So basically, apparently my account and settings are all correct
I have a hand-me-down blackberry 9700 which I got unlocked because I live in china, and have a china mobile sim card is place. It is able to make and receive calls as well as receive all text messages. However, certain people do not receive my text messages, even when I reply directly to their message. Others do receive them. Is it because of their provider?
No matter how hard I look I simply cannot find the select runtime option in the developer's menu to switch to ART. It's simply not there. I have a Rogers LG G3 and the device performance has been pretty sluggish since I bought the thing.
My Device Carrier: AT&T Model and OS: Blackberry Bold OS v 4.6
The Problem: Sometime in the past couple of days I stopped receiving SMS text messages properly. Though I was able to send and receive text messages as recently as Monday (the 1st, and this writing is on the 3rd of February) I find I am unable to receive them at present. This problem is complicated by a few tests I have done. With my phone right in front of me and another phone in my hand, I have sent a text message to my phone (from the other phone) and witnessed my phone make the loading sign in the upper right-hand corner (the little double-arrow that pops up when one is receiving data). No new message appears in my joint inbox and no "new message" icon pops up on my home screen. When I try to select the SMS inbox folder in the 'Select Folder' option in the menu in my messaging application, absolutely nothing happens.
I am also encountering oddities when I send SMS messages - though I am able to send them. When I complete an SMS text message and select 'Send', the message, though it is sending, may sometimes stay up on the screen as though I did not send it. When I select 'Send' again, it does disappear from the screen but does not display it sending in my inbox (it normally shows the message as sending, it receives a checkmark when sent, and then it disappears; as I set it up to). I can, however, access the SMS Outbox folder.
Finally, though I think this is unrelated, when my phone starts up from having the battery removed - which I did try - I receive a message stating "Uncaught exception:java.lang.NullPointerException". The first time I received this message was upon waking up one morning, as though it had occurred sometime during the night, and I dismissed it as unimportant as it did not seem to mess with the functioning of my Blackberry.
I do not have any backups to restore my phone to, as I just updated my computer to Windows 7 and cleared the majority of the hard drive in doing so. Also, I just, today, updated my phone to the latest version of all my applications.
I have a nokia 5530 just bought early december 2009. It's been 2 days that can't receive and send text messages. So I thought it was just the service provider. But now all my inbox and outbox messages gone. The phone calls works fine. What is this? Need help what to do?
Quick question I have a nokia N95 phone but it wont let me send messages it puts them in the outbox, says a resend time then says failed and comes up with un able to send... When I press details it says "General: memory full. Close some applications and try again".... I have no applications
open and have pressed and held the menu button to check and defiantly don't. I have turned it off And on, re installed message settings, deleted stuff, even reinstalled factory settings and its still not working id much appreciate some help. It did the same thing on Tuesday but was fine when I woke up Wednesday morning. It did it again 10pm Wednesday night and is still the same and its Friday xx I have posted this message on facebook and got told to ask here. I don't know if there is already a topic on this, but I really want to sort this problem out. I have always had Ionians and they have usually been very reliable...
Hoping someone might be able to help me. I recently received a hand-me-down Bold 9000 from a colleague and I've just connected it with Vodafone. However that's when I discovered one huge problem - it doesn't have an option to set up anything but Enterprise email, and I just have regular pop and internet mail accounts. The wizard only comes up with the "BlackBerry Enterprise Server" option.I've tried registering with the Host Routing Table but that doesn't help matters.I've also installed the Desktop software and tried updating its software to no effect. Anyone have another idea of what I can do to get email on my email-centric smartphone? It's killing me!
I have a Bold 9000 and I just installed OS5.0(leaked) I went into setup and there is no email setup option? What can I do? All my email inboxes from the backup of the device are already there but I was just wondering.
I have an unlocked blackberry storm 9530 for TMOBILE. The retailer said that my phone has picture messaging. Well, it doesn't have that option. It only has the SMS option.I've searched everywhere for an answer but, I was unable to find one and I really need help. Also, my BBM doesnt work. & I don't have internet on my plan. HOWEVER, MMS and BBM option is still suppose to work.
I'm using Bold 9000 and after installing the new OS5.0, I realized my key lock function is missing and I can only lock my phone after password enabled.I tried downgrading back to 4.6 and re-installing 5.0 but still the function is missing. Any help to this matter?I really hate setting my phone to password enable.
I recently updated my OS from 4.7 to 5.0 but now I noticed that my Lock application is missing. Even the shortcut "L" does not function. How do I get it back?
I had a problem with my micro sd card which was rectified my a BB tech today. After he had me do a reset, my yahoo and hotmail message icons are missing. All of my messages go into the message file but not into the dedicated files under the right icon.
I just updated to the v5.0.0.464 OS and now my lock icon is missing. I have searched all the folders, even with hidden icons showing. I usually keep the right side convenience key programmed to lock it. But that is not even an option anymore when you go to set the action for the convenience keys.
Just upgraded to 5.0 and the keyboard lock is missing. Shortcut as well as convenience keys. Anyone have a fix for this short of reinstalling the old software?
I use my gmail app in my bold to retrieve mails thru GPRS When I send a mail, it adds a line "sent from mobile device"I want to edit this... Where can I check this , since the app says to make changes in Blackberry profile notification
I have got a 9000 Bold unit that was an ex work machine. When I try to set up my personal e-mail through e-mail setup, the only option I get is "I want to use a work e-mail account with a Blackberry Enterprise Server".How do I get the option to setup a home account?
I tried to do a search to see if maybe someone else hasn't posted this before - can't seem to find it. I recently upgraded to a BB 9360 and am with Vodacom in South Africa.First thing I did upon receiving the phone was set it up nicely and then WANT to change the Mobile Network options for Network mode from 3G to 2G only but alas, the only options open to me are 3G & 2G or 3G.Now, I'm a paramedic in South Africa and my 9780 Bold's battery lasts an entire shift (12 hours!) but that's with the 2G ONLY option. So obviously I'd like to have this feature back on my 9360!!!I can't afford to go out and buy new batteries!
If I go to my photos app and camera roll and share, I should have an option to add pictures to a "new" or "existing" album. I only have the "new" option. Can anybody tell me if there's a setting that controls this? Or why my iphone is missing this option?
After the latest upgrade to OS 7.1 bundle 2061 the 2G only option is no longer available. I have done some reading and see that I need to downgrade to the previous bundle, but I do not have the options on my Bold 9900 as described by most of these support forums. Thus being: On the Home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon. Click Device > Software Updates. If you recently updated your BlackBerry Device Software, to return to the previous software version, press the key > View Result > Downgrade. To downgrade to an earlier software version, scroll to a software version that the icon appears beside. Click Perform Downgrade. Follow the instructions on the screenI do not have the View Result option.
