This just started last week. I can access contect from the apps fine (like facebook) BUT If I try to access facebook or another website that needs login and password entered, the phone browser kicks it back saying that the login and password was invalid. Now I can log into those same sites fine on the PC.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI just bought a 5530 & mostly it works as intended.But I am having a problem trying to connect to a lot of websites, using wi-fi, not mobile phone network.I am on my home wi-fi connection, playing alongside my PC, which allows me to compare simultaneously.My usual method of finding sites for the first time is to Google the name, then click on the best link, then bookmark for later. (This is my normal PC approach.)
Mostly that works, but I find with the Nokia that many sites do not connect.
One example is "travelodge.com"
If I Google that, I see a first hit with green address "www.travelodge.com/PHONE SYMBOL."
Clicking on that link gets me nowhere, except a time-out message.
I tried entering the address "http://www.travelodge.com/" directly, but get the same result.
The next hit down on the Google page is "travelodge.co.uk" with a green address "www.travelodge.co.uk/"
Clicking on that link gets me right to that site OK, like many other sites.Other sites which similarly will not connect are "super8.com" & "ramada.com".
It sems that when the Google hit shows a PHONE SYMBOL in the address then I can't get there, whether I try via Google or directly.
I just got this phone from someone who upgraded up. If I only want to use it for calls and texting and nothing else, should I update from its current system version 1.6 / Firmware version 1.5?If I wanted to do this manually, are system and firmware updates done separately and where are the download pages to do it manually?There are threads talking about how updates slowed down CLIQ MB200 phones. Do they slow down the basic functions of this phone? I see there are Android platform versions all the way up to 3.2. Is version 2.1 the last version compatible with MB200?Some threads compare updating this phone to installing Windows 7 or Vista on older computers - they would slow down basic functions on them so it's really not worth it to update. Is that comparison true when it comes to this first Android phone?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola Cliq updated to 2.1.5 through T-mobile.Up until this weekend, I had no problem getting Data pushed through whether I was in my area or my boyfriends area (his is non 3G and he does NOT have WiFi) ...I was at his place this weekend, and my Data ONLY pushed through when I was in a WiFi area and I had WiFi enabled.he problem is, now that I'm home IN A 3G AREA my Data STILL only pushes through when WiFi is enabled. I get NO INTERNET CONNECTION at all.I can't even get my phone to be recognized through the Motorola Troubleshooter now when it IS plugged into my laptop via USB ....Hoping to avoid a reset, even though I have everything synched through my Blur acct and Gmail

From all the info that I've read, the latest version is 1.1.30. I've tried doing a system update from the phone, but it tells me that I am up to date.

When I looked at it and turned on the Wi-Fi, it began to take a long time starting up with the "Turning On..." prompt on it. After a while though, it would then say "Error" or "Unable to Start". I've already Factory Reset the phone and that doesn't work at all. When I click on WiFi Settings and went into the Advance Settings, right below the MAC Address, it said "Unavailable".
View 5 Replies View RelatedThe screen has been cracked recently, so my brother took it upon himself to buy me a Cliq (MB200) from someone off CraigsList for my birthday. I am not sure if this is the route I would had gone but it's not like he can take it back now. Luckily it is a Cliq with a T-Mobile emblem on it, which is my carrier, so there shouldnt be any problems. And it appears to be in excellent condition.OK, time to transfer the SIM card.First, we cannot get the newly purchased Cliq to recgognize my SIM card. It is an old T-Mo SIM card that has been transferred from A Samsung T-719 purchased in 2007 to a BB Pearl to a BB Curve and then to the Cliq2 bought in 2011. I do have newer SIM cards that have never been opened or activated, so that could be an option. But the SIM works fine in my Cliq2. But in the newly purchased Cliq we immediately get the "Please insert SIM card" message on the screen.Yes, we did do a factory reset and then re-tested the SIM.Wi-Fi works.We were curious if the SIM Card can't be read until we go through the Motoblur registration.Also, can the Motoblur info just be transferred from the Cliq2 to the SIM Card or SD Card so I don't have to login on the newly purchased Cliq?I forgot my Motoblur password and it is registered with an inactive email address, so a password recovery via email is not an option. Should I just open a new Motoblur account? Will it let me connect the same emails and social media accounts as the old Motoblur account?

I cannot find any settings that seem to help. I also have frequent browser crashes although most people say that is related to low RAM. Since I have nothing else running in the background I question that conclusion. The biggest problem is the secure site problem.

It's either the phone, the ovi software.I have the following: Nokia e72 < acts as modem via cable or bluetooth > laptop..When it acts over modem via either cable or bluetooth, I can only access certain sites eg.I can't access google, or msn messenger for instance
I can access wikipedia, and my ISPs website as an example.Originally I thought it was because it was only able to access australian servers, but this isn't the case. My browser just seems unable to get a connection to certain sites/servers ever - it times out when i try to view google - but only when my phone is the link to the internet.On the phone, I can access every site/server that I want. But not on my laptop via the phone. When I'm on another internet connection (home or work etc), I have no issues connecting to those sites/servers from my laptop.Browsing google over other connections has not helped me find a solution yet. The connection to the net is stable - it doesn't drop out and can remain connected indefinitely.I'm running:
Laptop version: windows7, with ovi 2.2.0.241
Phone version: 031.023
The results have been the same on earlier versions of the phone and ovi software. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I can log in here on my desktop and can visit the same page using my BlackBerry 9300 browser but I cannot login. The screen goes white and stays that way. (I have of course latest OS and have tried battery reset)
View 1 Replies View RelatedWM 6.1 upgrade went without problem, but now I have issue with Wi-Fi access.PIE is unable to open any websites if the phone connects to any secured wireless network.(WEP, WPA, WPA2)Only time the wi-fi would work is when I connect to non-secured network.When I was on WM 6.0, I had no issues what so ever, so this is a new problem and I know I setup the network correctly. (Router issues IP address and network card receives IP address.)Looks like it happened to couple of others as well, but there does not look to be any remedy for it.
Of course about 90% of the time I will be connecting to non-secured network, so it should not be a too large an issue, but if possible, I would like to fix this.According to the search, only remedy I have seen is a guy contacting Samsung and getting WM 6.0 re-flashed on the phone. Other than 6.0 reflash, could there be any other potential resolution that I have overlooked?
When I open a pdf from a web page link I get a force close in the stock browser.I was able to open pdfs in Dolphin with a plug in but prefer the stock browser.
View 3 Replies View RelatedUnable to open any web links from an app or gmail ....started to happen a few minutes ago..these links are embedded in a email or from an app like pulse etc. I have stock broswer and dolphin HD ...and I select which one to displayed when the browser selection pop up window comes up.
Now the selection popup window does not come at all...and the screen goes about 50% dark and when touched anywhere on the screen ...it comes to normal brightness...
On my Xoom, I was able to log onto my bank's website but the page would not scroll to enable reading the bottom half. I could pinch and expand easily, but not scroll at all. Is this a function of the bank's software limitation or is there something on the Xoom that I can enable?

My motorola atrix has a wi fi connection , is docked and linked to tv using hdmi dock, bluetooth activated wireless mousse and keyboard all work but cannot connect to any websites - comes up with can't connect or find server message. only thing i haven't tried is to do with the firewall settings, proxy , vpn, etc ....I do not know what any of them are

For example try to upload a pic onto tineye.com with the RAZR and it has an error, but my droid 2 & samsung fascinate worked fine in the past.

After I changed my SIM card, they requested me to log into my BB ID, which I tried to do, but failed.
