I've been reading through every post I can find online, but I can't find anything about getting DM Mode functional. So far, I know it can be enabled by using ##366633#, but for some reason it's still not working. On the S5 you could enable CP Logging and that would make it functional, but this option is conveniently absent on the S6. I have an SM-G920V.
View 1 RepliesSo the other day my phone (Xperia Z3) was working perfectly fine. I was able to hear people on phone calls and noise came from that speaker. The next day, the speaker was completely silent when i tried to talk to someone and the only way i could do this was by having speaker phone enabled so it would come out of the other speaker. Now i don't know about you, but it's a bit awkward out in public.
Firstly, i have had my screen replaced before, by a third party repairer who i have been to for all other phones, and when i got it back, the ear speaker was distorted if on the maximum volume when listening to music or watching videos, so i never have it on full volume. Unfortunately, because i went to a third party repairer, Vodafone will now have to charge me for the repairs so i want to try as many things as possible before i have to fork out a bunch of money to get it repaired.
I'd really appreciate someone's help. I wanted to apply a new clear coat on my phone and after putting on the coat and the battery back in the phone, the touch screen will not work almost at all. There is no selection happening on the interface where I touch and the phone cannot be used.Could someone give me some clue on what might be wrong with the phone?
1st of all when im on the phone and another call comes in, the speaker on my phone activates, and i cant cut it off until call ends , 2nd my voicemail is not functional, if i call my # its not my voicemail its some pre-recorded person saying that im unavail , any thoughts?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Galaxy S6 that I purchased off Ebay and on the back of the phone, the model is SM-G920i but in the settings of the phone, the model number is SM-G920F. I want to get this back to original stock firmware based on the G920i. The only problem is that I cannot get into Download Mode to be able to use Odin. I have tried all of the hardware combinations and the only thing is does is take me to a Factory Mode, where the options are Auto Test, Manual Test, Item Test, Test Report, Debug Test, Clear eMMC, Version, and Reboot.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIf the prototypes of the new iPhone we've seen are generally accurate, I really think the move from the rocker volume switch to two dedicated volume buttons opens up a lot of possibilities. I can see being able to navigate through lock screen information like missed calls, e-mail, or texts (if that's added eventually with OS 4 or later), or have each button serve as a quick launch replacement for favorites or add further customization such as being able to call a single contact or launch a particular application.
I have never had any issues with the current volume rocker and I think it works great. The only reason to make the change to dedicated up/down buttons would appear to be to add functionality to them by allowing them to easily be used as two distinct standalone buttons.
I think Apple realized they couldn't add any additional buttons to the iPhone, so the only way to increase options/functionality was to take existing buttons the up/down volume rocker and increase their usefulness and functionality.
I was wondering if there are any functional difference between the two, i.e. HTML rendering, images being broken, etc. Under Browser -> Options -> Browser Configuration, If I configure both the Blackberry and Internet browser the same way, will a particular URL behave the same?I'm in the process of testing our mobile applications on different devices and would appreciate if you could provide the difference, if any between the 2 browsers.

I had to put gevey sim to make it functional. Once I had to change the sim and my set had stopped functioning again. No one in the market is ready to accept the set for repair. Changing the gevey sim did not matter. All the money on the set I feel has been wasted so far. Is there any way I can make my set permanently unlocked and functional?

I'm not sure what happened but my touch screen isn't functional. Buttons work but the touch screen is not opperating like it should. I had plenty of battery life left. I tried restarting it a few times, but the touch screen won't work.

Anyone got problem with emails not being updated correctly?Have 3 POP3 accounts in my E6 and tested sync "soonest" and "15min" and never updates it for new emails, not even when i hit "z" it seems to sync correctly.Even sometimes it does, the overview screen/Home screen is stuck with preview from old emails.Hate this because if the email does not work properly it is completely useless for me. This works perfect on my E71 and E72.

So if, for example, i buy one of those jailbroken/unlocked iphones from ebay I can use it normally with just the wi-fi. Like, use applications and check the internet and such. I'm asking because I recently found out that in Blackberry's this isn't the case - you can't use any apps without having a data plan.

If I try to store songs or some other files like wallpapers, its showing the memory full. And the shopkeeper told me that the card is of 2GB, but it shows me the no space everytime and not able to upload any song or anything else. I installed Poynt v1.5.4.12 and the trackpad doesn't seem fully functional when navigating through the menus.Say if I go to Movies, I can't click on the trackpad to select any of the options, like "Movies Near Me" or "Theaters Near Me."Instead, I have to select the option using the touchscreen.Then when I go to theaters or movies, the touchpad can only highlight the first theater/movie, then jumps to "More" at the bottom instead of the next theater/movie when you try scrolling down.At least here I can click on the trackpad to bring up the popup menu, though only for that first item on the list.I can move through the lists by flicking up/down on the touchscreen, but if I try to highlight an item by touching it, it always brings up the popup menu, which is annoying when all I want to do is see the movie times, which would be displayed just by highlighting the item.

When it tells me to tap to enter KNOX mode it asks for a password, what it might be as I never created one.
So i recently switched to a new rom from my previous rooted one. Unfortunatly, i forgot to enable developer debugging or oem unlock in developer options before i restarted, so now my phone is in a boot loop. It wont go into recovery mode, or boot into the system. I can only go into download mode. My knox is tripped, and it shows frp lock. So far i tried flashing the stock 5.1.1 firmware using odin, and it fails on nand write. Tried flashing a new bl and cp, but frp blocks it.
Right, model of my phone is SM-G920T
Seems to be when i was trying to flash the original firmware, i got an old one, F6, when the correct one is F8. Went through with odin and seems like everything is back on track!
Always start camera with pro mode.I don't want to start with auto mode.

Tried to turn on today and it only boots to download mode, everything else just reboots the phone. Also it will only turn on when connected to USB so i'm guessing the battery is dead also.
My main concern is I have photos that I really want to try and recover and yes I know I know, always have a backup, as a desktop technician I really should have had that setup on my phone but here we are.
So my main target is to somehow get into recovery mode and then use ADB to pull files from the phone.
I've tried to flash many different recovery files but they always fail in Odin v3.10.7, log for Odin is:

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been messing around with Selective Focus Mode while taking pictures. It gives very interesting results but I've had two issues:
1) I understand that taking pictures under this mode fails often and the camera can only take a normal picture (usually close focus). However, often times I am able to get the near and far zoom parts of the picture but the pan zoom option in the gallery won't light up and is not functional. Is this normal? If so, is it because it just can't stitch together the two focal points in a decent manner?
2) I downloaded a Selective Focus Picture in order to upload to the picture thread on these boards. However, when I click on it, the near zoom is all I see. Do I have to individually save each zoom in the gallery to view elsewhere. Androidcentral would just hang when I tried to download the original file.
While trying to solve my problem with the phone heating up, I decided to reboot my phone however it got stuck on Odin mode! I cannot do the normal solution which is take the battery out since it cannot be done in S6 Edge.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhenever I put on the camera to selfie mode I see a red light in the led flash, don't ask why I look at the back of the phone when I'm taking a selfie lol, but just something I noticed as I placed my finger on the red light it lit up like a Christmas tree! I understand this is the heart rate sensor but why would it light up on if put my finger on it and light off when I take my finger off... If I'm camera mode taking a selfie?!

I moved a few photos into the private folder and when the phone shut off private mode did as well. Now I cannot remember my password and there is no fingerprint backup.
Samsung supports response Keep trying paswords. I realize I should have written it down, but I was slightly overwhelmed moving to android. There has to be a way to retrieve.
