I'm noticing that Google really likes to sync in the background throughout the day. Any good way to automatically sync my accounts(mainly Google and Samsung) only when I'm connected to Wifi and External Power? I'd like a simple way to do this hopefully without needing to root the S6.

If I add his google account under the add account it adds his whole google account, all his gmail and every hangout notification also pings on my phone. Is there a way to sync only the calendars? I've tried going into the settings for the google account on my phone and there is no sync toggle for hangouts
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I add my corporate account to the email app, it accepts my login information as well as the domain and server information. It takes me to the screen with the email options about push notifications and what not. I finish those settings and it takes me to my inbox. But nothing happens. Occasionally if I add it, it will say loading... with the spinning circle, but never loads. I have let it sit for hours, and it never syncs.
Now let me tell you what I have tried:
I have tried on 4G and on wireless
Adding from Accounts in Settings
Adding from the email app
Auto Sync data is on
Restrict Background Data is off
Once or twice it came up with the certificate issue and I noticed that the certificate was connected to a different website.
I have a gmail account, and msn account and a Verizon account. they are all connected and work fine all the time.
If I use an app called Cloud Magic it works, but that doesn't sync my calendar and contacts.
I think that is it. The phone is a Galaxy S5, 16GB / Verizon / Andriod 4.4.4 / Factory, not hacked or changed in anyway.
How to get the calendar to sync with your Google account or Samsung account? When I first updated my Galaxy s5 to lollipop, my calendar didn't sync over after I FDR. Then when I switched to the Galaxy s6, my calendar again didn't sync. Any settings I'm missing? I do have sync calendar in both Google and Samsung account enabled but it's not carrying over.

So I am wondering if there is an app that will turn on the WiFi Calling feature when my phone connects to my home WiFi and turns off the WiFi Calling feature when I get out of range of my home WiFi.
Yesterday morning I switched to M8 and set up 3 aol and 2 gmail accounts on the resident email app. One aol account is not loading. It is loading into the maildroid app (I keep as backup reader) but its not loading on the M8 and also not on my old HTC evo. I have deleted the account and restarted the phone. Not sure why suddenly its not loading on the old phone. The problem account is the first one, was set to default.

The phone does not have a Google Play app or any other Google Apps. How to get my Google Account onto the phone.
Note that the option "internet settings - download setting for internet and MMS" does not work. It returns the message "Could not download...."
I receive my Gmail emails on my Bold 9900. Problem is, if I've read the new emails on my computer first, they still show up as unread emails on my Bold.Is there a setting I can use that will make it so that if I've read emails on another device, the emails will no longer show up in the notification bar? As it is right now, all new messages show up in the notification bar, despite having read the emails already on my computer.Also, there is 1 Facebook notification that won't go away. There's nothing in the notification center, and I've opened and refreshed Facebook, but that 1 notification is still there.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am facing the issue regarding a lag with when trying to unlock with the slider button and with the unlock pattern, and when trying to answer calls sliding the button.But, for example, if I am doing something on the phone and somebody calls me, the slide answer button works without a problem, as well as the pattern definition in the security settings. So, since this only appends when the phone is in sleep mode, more than with the tasks themselves, I guess this lag might be related with the internal process to turn it back on. It seems that it takes something like 4 to 5 seconds to start to work properly. One other thing, after the restore of the OS, during the initial configuration, when I first connected the audio jack, inadvertently I have defined an incorrect task (opening a web page).
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've downloaded the trial version of Beejive and want to install it. I am using OS 4.6.1.231 and am using the latest Blackberry Desktop program (v5.0.1). The instructions to install Beejive say to connect my BB to my comp and choose the application loader to add Beejive. I then "Browse" to the alx file and click on it.Fine. I do all that and then click on "next." I then see that I will I be reinstalling all the programs that have check marks by them. I decide I just want to install Beejive only so I go back and untick the apps I want to leave alone but there is only "remove" or "install" and that unticking one would result in its removal. Is installing Beejive through BB Desktop the only way to get it to work? Is there no way to go to get a jad file and download that for an automated install?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just picked up a new V10, added my gmail account, and it created a contact for just about every email I've ever interacted with in the 10 years using gmail. I'm obviously missing something - I just want the 200+ contacts I have defined on contacts.google.com to sync on the phone after linking it to a gmail account. What am I missing? I don't remember this with previous Android phones.
I tried doing a factor reset, setting up as a new device, linked the gmail account, but it still decided to create 2000+ contacts.
Well the last week or so I have noticed that my email account is not syncing with my Razr Maxx HD - It is an outlook account - it also does the same thing with my Yahoo account as well I tried looking in settings for sync frequency but there is not option to set - I know on previouse phones there has been option for it but not this one.. Other than deleting the account and re-doing it or restoring the phone, because those two dont work.

When the automated machine answers and tells me to enter my pin number, my phone still displays "Calling <number>..." as if it is still dialing. As a result, other than the pound key, all other keys on the numpad are locked and do not work. Only option I have is to press the "End Call" button.Are there any workarounds/solutions for this? The phone thinks it is still dialing even when the other side has picked up so I cannot use the numpad.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy corporate account (Exchange/Activesync server) hasn't synced since the update was installed Saturday, June 30th. It was syncing fine pre-ICS, however, post-ICS nothing. The screenshot reflects the message I receive when attempting to set up the account on the phone.
In troubleshooting, I have tried removing the account (only initially following the upgrade, account will not complete set up since) and adding it again.
Also, all other email accounts (gmail, earthlink, hotmail, yahoo) are connecting fine, only having problems with the Corporate account. Additionally, I need this to work more for the calendar sync than the email, especially since I separate my work/personal calendars via this account, Google, and personal version of Outlook.
Is this happening to anyone else? My contacts for my social accounts stopped syncing, however, they can still post to my Facebook, etc...

Previously on standard cell phones, I would dial the phone number, insert "ppp" for pauses while the auto attendant would prompt the next step. There are 3 series of number to get all the way in. Example would be: 800-555-5555ppp555ppp5555ppp5555 and I would be in to retrieve messages.
I have tried a few different options and have be unsuccessful.My carrier is AT&T.BB is a Bold 9700.Does anyone have any suggestions??
I have configured my nokia E63 to sync mail with an gmail account. I have installed Mail for Exchange 3.0. I have configured mail for exchange to sync with my gmail account. I have two issues. When I configure mail for exchange, I can do an initial download of mail, calendar and contacts. However, after the initial sync when I try to do another sync a invalid credentials message appears. I don't change credentials after first sync, so credentials are correct. The second issue is that when I open a message I only see the header message, with the from address and subject but I can't see the body of the message.

The problem is that it is adding on to my internal memory, why is this happening when I have sync my contacts with gmail. I do not have any contact on my phone. View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I had my S4 I would plug it in and sync it to my backup hard drives. It would mount on my computer as a drive (not a media device) and I could tell the sync program to basically copy the drive. I understand that only MTP and PTP are supported now. My question is, can I still do this with some type of workaround. What I loved about having the exact copy is that the file structure was the same. I would just plug the phone in and hit sync. Everything was copied. Another way I would do this was to remove the SD card and plug it into my computer. The sync software would see it as a drive as well.
I know some will say, use Smart Switch or a backup program. My issue with that is they either save to the internal storage or the cloud so I'm having to copy the file over to the drive after the backup (which takes twice as long). ALSO, anything that is filed under Private Mode is not copied on any of the backup programs that I've tried. Smart Switch doesn't touch anything in the private section which is probably the stuff I want backed up the most. I could have this wrong, but I tried to use the software with private mode enabled and the files were no where in the backup folder.I've also tried to manually drag the files over, but it takes forever waiting on the computer to calculate the move, and I have to compare what I've deleted/moved versus what's new/existing.
The problem is that I'm using a sync software that has to see the target as a folder, drive, or network location (Allway Sync). I've tried using a WIFI explorer, but it doesn't allow me to grab the root. That ends up meaning I have to go folder by folder which also takes forever. Any workaround that would allow me to mount the phone as a drive and sync it to my computer.
I have the S6 Edge and i was always able to sync Facebook contacts into my address book - but now i have noticed that i can't find a way to do it anymore - i don't see such setting in the Facebook app. I Want to use Facebook pictures for my contacts.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI set up my 2 business email accounts with IMAP, everything worked fine for about 2 weeks, then my default account would not consistently download emails, so I could see them on my laptop inbox but nothing on the phone, then the IMAP sync function on the default account would not work from my laptop to S6, it would work the other way, so i can delete or move emails into my various folders via mt S6 but not via my laptop.
The strange thing is that he secondary email account works fine, receives email fine, IMAP works and syncs fine all working good. So I decided 2 days ago to delete both email accounts and set up again, everything worked fine but today its back to the original status of my default account not syncing from my desktop/laptop. The settings for both email accounts are the same.
The phone is primarily used for business and i get over 200 emails a day.
