Galaxy S5 :: Phone Rings Through Fritz-app But Cannot Answer
Mar 31, 2015
I have a Fritzbox 7390, and I have tried to use Fritzapp fon app so that when a call comes on land line, the mobile Samsung S5 would also ring. It does, but I can not answer the call, and have to use land line to answer it.
How do I answer incoming messages on my LG 3.0? When calls come in and the phone is ringing I tap or swipe ANSWER, but the call goes directly to voice mail.
This is very frustrating! My phone has recently started ringing when I'm receiving incoming call but the screen remains idle and doesn't display who's calling. It also doesn't display the answer/ignore options and will continue to ring until I switch the phone off! I have also been receiving 'Unknown' calls from known numbers too.
I have looked through your forums and have read the Settings/Personalisation/Manage Notifications fix. I am in the UK however and my settings don't appear to have these options at all. I am a carer for my 2 year old daughter and depend on my phone for doctor/hospital appointments, physio, emergencies etc. I have a few months left on the contract and if I am very tempted to settle contract early as the phone is no use to me while it is doing this.
Can anyone advise me how I can adjust the number of rings the X6 does before reverting to the orange answer phone. At present I have 4 rings and sometimes can not get to the phone before it diverts to Answer phone. All diverts have been deactivated.
Been a happy Sprint user since 2005 and have used various dumb phones and smartphones. The Photon is my 3rd Android.I have noticed that each phone , whether smartphone or not, has the same issue that has caused me to miss incoming phone calls here and there - the caller dials my number and hears several rings before my phone actually starts ringing. The phone goes to voicemail before I have the opportunity to answer the phone. The solution for my phones has always been to adjust the Slot Cycle index from the default setting of 2 to the setting of 0. This causes the phone to poll towers more frequently, thus the phone is more quickly aware of a new incoming call. The only negative implication is that the phone goes through battery a bit more quickly during the day...but it's really only a tiny difference. I've done this on my phones, on my spouse's phones, my mom's phone, etc.
Since the Photon's battery life is so much better than my prior phone (EVO 4G) I am very comfortable in adjusting the Slot Cycle index, so I obtained my MSL from Sprint and attempted the adjustment by going to the Dialer:##DATA# ->tap green Dial icon -> to the Data Settings menu...tap Advanced->From there you can see that the Slotted Index is set to 2. So I wanted to change the setting but can't get to it from Menu->Edit->enter MSL code->VerifyI called Sprint about this issue, and in the past they have helped me to change the setting. I have called more than once and have been dealing with the more advanced Tech Support team. No one at Sprint can figure out how to adjust this setting on the Photon.
When someone calls me and I want to answer the call by swiping the green button I got nothing even I can't end the call by swiping the red button or even by pressing the lock key. I have to wait until the caller ends the call and then I call him back.
When during a phone conversation there is an incoming call (call-waiting), my Samsung Galaxy S6 rings the ringtone. Obviously, call-waiting should beep; the other side should not hear my ringtone go off while in the midst of conversation.
My friend has an SGS2 on Virgin Mobile and he wants to extend the length of time the phone rings before going to voicemail as he often misses calls. I can't see any settings on the handset and from what I can gather it looks like it to do with the carrier, in this case Virgin Mobile? ... I also found this info... "There's a really quick and easy way to extend the amount of time your phonerings for before voicemail kicks in. The most you can extend it to is 30 seconds. All you need to do is follow theseteps:- Tap *#67# into your phone, then press the call/answer key.- Make a note of the number that's displayed, including the + symbol.- Enter the following code:**61*the number you noted down from above**30#Here's an example of how the sequence of numbers might look:**61*+44717941123456**30# This will mean that your phone rings for 30 seconds. You can alter this toring for 5, 10, 15, 20 or 25 seconds by replacing **30# with your choice ofseconds. E.g. enter **15# if you want it to ring for 15 seconds.
I have recently picked up a Galaxy S6 and have an issue with answering incoming phone calls. The phone will ring, but often when I pull it out of my pocket it the screen stays black and doesn't have an option to answer. If I unlock the phone with my fingerprint it just takes me to the home screen like normal and there is no option to answer the phone anywhere.
In the past month or so I've noticed that the GPS is having issues not connecting and when it does connect it's miles off of my location.Last weekend I was driving from MA. to CT. Fired up GPS and Google maps (my current location was displayed a few miles off) entered the End Point then Go, I get "Searching for GPS" so I tossed it up on the dashboard. Had my copilot fire up her GPS on her android and everything was working fine on hers. An hour into the ride mine all of a sudden it got it's collective brains together and started give directions.I believe it's the GPS that's twisted. I can try to check into places via FB and again it's miles off on the Bing map. I can try the same thing in google maps and it's miles off.Is there a util that can manipulate the GPS, maybe reset it, uninstall/reinstall?Any ideas on how to fix this?
I have the X6. The phone rings and I unlock the keyguard using the slider on the side of the phone and the phone stops ringing. Then in order to answer the phone I press the green button on the bottom left of the phone or I press answer call on the screen and then I can speak which I suppose sounds fair enough. But I just think that something is wrong because surely the phone should continue to make the 'ringing' noise until I actually answer the call rather than going mute just because I have unlocked the keyguard.. Am I doing something wrong or is this just how the phone works?
I am a new owner of a Blackberry Bold. When I receive a phone call, the phone only rings once and if I don't answer within 4 or 5 seconds I get a "missed call message". I've explored chanding ring tones accessed from the "Loud" icon without success. How do I get the phone to ring for longer like normal mobiles or landlines?
I have bought this new Z5. The issue that it rings for the first time only and after that it get silent. I restart the phone and same thing happened. Rings for first time then get silent. The ringtone is original sony ones.
My phone works perfectly except I can't answer calls, when I press answer/ignore it freezes until it goes to voicemail and then comes back. I've flashed multiple roms and had the problem with all of them. I'm not using any special themes or anything, and the only software I ever install are HD Tweak and Finger Keyboard 2.1 and my radio 1.14.25.24. Here's a list of what I've done since I had the phone:
1. Bought phone. Flashed HSPL. Flashed Laurentius L26, no problems. Was being lazy so I didn't hard reset after flashing. 2. Flashed Dutty R14. Didn't hard reset after flashing. No problems for awhile and then the problem of not being able to answer calls appeared. 3. Flashed EnergyRom wm6.5 rom. Hard reset twice after. Still having problem where I can't answer calls. 4. Flashed Dutty 3.9XT wm6.1 rom. Hard reset twice after. Still having problem where I can't answer calls.
If anyone can help me figure out why my phone is doing this I'd really appreciate it, I'll even pay you some money on PayPal if you like because I really want to fix it. Here are some ideas I had as to why it's not working:
- Problem with rom flash. No, because I tried it with 3 different roms so far and had the same problem. - Touch HD isn't fast enough to run wm6.5 and be stable. No, because I tried it with a wm6.1 rom too and had the same problem. - Someone suggested it might be a problem with the battery. No, because I ordered new replacement batteries and tried them and had the same problem. - Some of the settings in HD Tweak are incompatible with something in the roms I'm using. Maybe, is this possible? I don't really change much, just the softkeys and the highlight color and things like that. - Screwed up something in the SPL or something because I didn't hard reset after flashing the first 2 roms. Maybe, is this possible? - Dropped my phone and somehow managed to break nothing but the mechanism involved in answering calls. Maybe, is this possible?
Today I'm going to reflash HSPL, flash the stock HTC rom, hard reset twice, and see if I still have the problem. I don't know what else to do or what other possibilities there are. If anyone can shed some light on this issue, that would be great, because I really don't want to have to buy a new phone.
I have Galaxy S5 and the other night somebody knocked it out of my hand...it took quite a thud to the floor and since then, the screen is completely black. The phone still turns on and the bottom 2 lights are working and it rings when people call etc. I can't answer the phone though so I'm assuming the touch screen has broken. what I'm worried about is loosing all my pictures. Because the phone has a pattern lock on it, when I plug it into a computer it says that there are no files. If i send it off for repair will they clear the phone? I'm thinking if they just replace the screen then I still get to keep everything but assume they will still clear it?
My friend and I talked Monday and Friday, but Friday she said she had to go for a brief 3 seconds, and then call me back. When she attempted to call me back after about a minute I was able to answer, but as soon as I answered it hung up. I tried calling back several times but on my end I just get a ring, and then 3 beeps -- then it hangs up instantly.
On her end, however, it doesn't start ringing until about 20 seconds in and then it claims to not be able to reach the signal. This is baffling because this started doing this Friday right after she had to get over for a little. I called her earlier in the week (Tuesday) and it was fine, it rang correctly but suddenly we're having this signal issue. I have a Galaxy S5 but hers I have no clue, I know it's an old model -- but it is a smartphone.
When my phone rings there is no sound yet I can listen to music fine. The button on the left is on but the sound mark that comes on the phone don't appear
