Galaxy S5 :: When Make A Call It Rings Once - Then Beeps
Nov 22, 2015
My friend and I talked Monday and Friday, but Friday she said she had to go for a brief 3 seconds, and then call me back. When she attempted to call me back after about a minute I was able to answer, but as soon as I answered it hung up. I tried calling back several times but on my end I just get a ring, and then 3 beeps -- then it hangs up instantly.
On her end, however, it doesn't start ringing until about 20 seconds in and then it claims to not be able to reach the signal. This is baffling because this started doing this Friday right after she had to get over for a little. I called her earlier in the week (Tuesday) and it was fine, it rang correctly but suddenly we're having this signal issue. I have a Galaxy S5 but hers I have no clue, I know it's an old model -- but it is a smartphone.
Device info: Blackberry Bold 9900 Your carrier: Bell Model info and OS version (Go to Settings, then Options, then about): v7.1.0.746
When trying to make an outgoing call, I get a long pause and then three tones like old pay phones and a message saying call failed. I am also unable to receive any calls also. My girlfriend has the same phone and the same issues. We called the service provider (Bell) who asked to try powering down and turn back on and it worked temporarily but the issue persists.I also tried reseting the phone to factory setting and still have the same issues.
When during a phone conversation there is an incoming call (call-waiting), my Samsung Galaxy S6 rings the ringtone. Obviously, call-waiting should beep; the other side should not hear my ringtone go off while in the midst of conversation.
i have a samsung galaxy s5 everytime i get a call or try and make a call my phone hangs up, before I can pick up the phone and I push the green slider it hangs up when I go to make a call when I push dial it hangs up and it will keep doing it. and sometimes it acts good and will go through. what do I do?
Ever since I did the latest upgrade on my curve when I am on a voice call my phone beeps during the call. I would say every minute or so. At first I thought it was a notification that I had a text or new email, but that is not it.Anybody have this issue or know how to turn this off?
Any way to make the in call volume louder permanently? Mine is very low even with the volume all the way up and there doesn't seem to be a difference when i hit the extra volume command.
I have a S5 on TMOBILE. Lately every time I try to make a call it hangs up before the first ring. Then today I was on a call over Bluetooth in my car and it cut out (other person could hear me, I couldn't hear then them) but was not in a dead zone. I've done a sift reset and completely wiped the phone as well. No change.
Just wondering if anyone else is having any problems with echo problems when maing a call. When I make a call i can hear myself a second after I speak. Does anyone know why this happens and is their anything I can do to stop it.
I have been unable to get my AT&T S5 to iniate a handsfree call from a bluetooth device if the S5 screen is locked. This is really unsafe in the car if I must pick up the phone, enter PIN or password before I can make a call. Kind of goes against the meaning of "hands free". I expected to find a screen lock bypass for "trusted" devices or something similar, but so far I have not. My bluetooth receives calls fine when locked, I just can't initiate a call.
I upgraded to lollipop yesterday it went smoothly and I have had any issues since. I have seen that I should have access to my dialer via the lock screen. The phone is there but all I can do is make an emergency call without first entering the lock code. Is this how it should be? Also, when charging I read that at the bottom of the screen it should tell you how much time left to charge. How can I make it happen?
My job requires me to take some shifts with a standby period from 4-7 AM in case an emergency happens, so I have to leave the phone on beside my bed, and it has to be audible.I plug it in so if I have to respond, I will do so with a full battery. Then inevitably after I have fallen asleep, two beeps wake me up to tell me the battery is charged. I ticked the box in settings 'no notification ringtone', but it did not seem to shut this off. can't imagine what idiot designer at Samsung thought that this would be a very important feature that we all must have, but it is driving me nuts.
When I try to make a call from my Samsung Galaxy 5, I click on the phone icon, it then gives me a message that my contacts have stopped. The message goes away and my phone goes back to home screen. I can't make any calls. I can receive a call and text. When I text the contact list comes up, but not when I try to make a call. Is there a setting I should look for that I may have accidentally overrode or deleted?
It won't make any keypad noises either and my volunme buttons on the side of my phone don't work either..I have tried restoring it, but it does nothing..
When I call my phone I hear 4 rings on the phone I am calling from. However the blackberry itself only rings twice and just vibrates in between. I do want the vibrate option but would like to hear four rings instead of two.
My BB 9700 doesn't catch the first 4-5 rings of an incoming call. It's so bad that incoming Google Voice calls go straight to Google voicemail. If I call myself, I hear 4-5 rings on the calling side before the BB begins to ring. I've changed the ringer settings from vibrate but this seems to do little.
Before this phone I had a Sony Ericcson k850 that had the same problem. Before that I had the SE k550i that did NOT have any problem. If I take that old phone and put my sim card in it now, it still has no ring lag.
So I believe it has something to do with the phone settings within the phone, though this BB is the first phone I bought that came from AT&T (branded probably). Can I change some setting for the phone to ping the towers more often? I don't see anything for slot cycle on the phone...
Downloaded ICS on July 13th. Since then, at least 2 times (possibly more if I was away from my phone when it happened), my phone has randomly started ringing without any incoming calls, alarms or calender appointments set, emails, messages, etc. The only way I could make it stop is to shut the phone down. The volume of the ringing isn't as loud as my set volume, but there is no way to silence it aside from shutting down the phone. Never did it before the system update. I'm not positive if it happens at the same time each time, but it was around 4:17 PM yesterday when it did it.
My iphone 4s rings at 2am in the morning. The main screen does not show a call coming in, it never shows a received or missed call so there is no phone number so i cant block it. If i shut down the phone down and turn it back on before bed it seems to work and doesn't ring. I cant shut the phone off or put it on vibrate because i have an elderly mother who lives down stairs so i need to hear the phone ring if she needs me for something. I thought maybe i should reset or restore the phone but was hoping there was an easy solution.
I find this phone difficult to use, for even the simplest things. I'm trying to change the number of rings for an incoming phone call before the phone goes to messaging.
How do I answer incoming messages on my LG 3.0? When calls come in and the phone is ringing I tap or swipe ANSWER, but the call goes directly to voice mail.
This is very frustrating! My phone has recently started ringing when I'm receiving incoming call but the screen remains idle and doesn't display who's calling. It also doesn't display the answer/ignore options and will continue to ring until I switch the phone off! I have also been receiving 'Unknown' calls from known numbers too.
I have looked through your forums and have read the Settings/Personalisation/Manage Notifications fix. I am in the UK however and my settings don't appear to have these options at all. I am a carer for my 2 year old daughter and depend on my phone for doctor/hospital appointments, physio, emergencies etc. I have a few months left on the contract and if I am very tempted to settle contract early as the phone is no use to me while it is doing this.
Every so often when playing a game or hearing my phone ring, my sound goes weird and it sounds tinny and high. It always self corrects usually on the next play of a turn or another call. I think this may have also happened on my OG Droid.
