View 1 RepliesI have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and when ever I make a call my screen doesn't automatically timeout when I put it up next to my face. It used to do it before and now it doesn't work. I looked at the settings in the phone and there is nothing...

View 5 Replies View RelatedAnyway, last night I set my alarm as I normally do before bed and this morning I over slept by a disgusting amount because somehow all of my apps had spontaneously crashed while I was asleep! The force close notification kept coming up for a number of different applications before I was forced to simply turn it off. When I turned it on again a few seconds later, most of my settings had been wiped along with much of the data kept on the actual phone memory. Some stuff was still there, like all my apps, my connections and passwords, but my home screen was defaulted, as were my message tone, ring tone and input settings. Also gone were any phone numbers I had stored on the phone itself as well as all of my inbox messages.
So, I went into the settings to put my screen lock back on because I noticed that had been reset, too. I did the normal routine, picked the pattern, confirmed it and so on. But after I put my phone down and locked the screen, when I picked it back up again and pressed the home key to activate the screen, it was just unlocked. I didn't have to input the unlock pattern. However, when I went back into the settings to make sure they were all okay, it made me enter the unlock pattern to get into it! How odd.
After the lollipop update on GALAXY S5 , i faced an issue! My screen doesn't light ups after a call and i can't end a call...
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy 920I Galaxy S6 has stopped receiving calls, either if I am using the phone or it is locked I won't receive any call, I have to restart my phone to get the messages of missed calls and call them back. I tried many different modems, bootloader, roms and firmwares and nothing has worked. Also, I tried both on WIFI and 3G/4G and it doesn't work.

how I (in the simplest possible way) can use my pc as a secondary screen to my galaxy sII? I want my screen on the phone to be mirrored on the computor, so I can show (i.e.with a projector) my actions on the Samsung to an audience.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got a brand new Galaxy S6 (unlocked), running 5.1.1 - I dial it, it rings, but there's no way to pick it up. I wake the screen (as its just black) - standard lockscreen, unlock, standard launcher - there's no dialler popup to answer the call or anything.I've dug through all the options and can't find anything that might be causing this, I haven't yet factory reset as I spent a load of time customising everything before noticing, sigh.Any clues to how I can debug this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Vodafone galaxy s6. Whenever I call anyone it says conditional call forwarding active then immediately cuts the call without ringing. I cannot receive calls either and sometimes it says the network then emergency calls only I have to toggle airplane mode on and off to fix this. However I can text and use mobile data.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using a Verizon Galaxy S5 running Lollipop, version 5.0. I recently performed a factory reset because the Lollipop update was completely ruining my phone, and still is. In the past few days, my mic has been acting up. I'll call someone or they'll call me, and they can't hear me at all. Speakerphone doesn't work, and neither does a headset. The mic still works, I've tested it using voice recorder and have no problems. Sometimes it randomly works, but 95% of the time it doesn't work. I tried restarting, pulling the battery, wiping cache partition, all to no avail. It worked in safe mode, but once I reinstalled one app, it stopped working again, and didn't start working after I deleted that one app and rebooted. I've had nothing but problems with Lollipop, and now I can't even use my phone anymore. I've also disabled Google Now voice recognition, noise cancellation, and voice privacy, still no luck
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a S5, my wife has a iPhone 6, we are both on Verizon. For some reason I don't receive any calls she makes to me. She can text or email just fine - but no voice calls.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThis could be a lollipop related issue. This is irritating, because i have to wait for the screen to tun on,or the caller to hang up, and sometimes takes a while.

View 1 Replies View RelatedPhone: Samsung Galaxy S6 64GB
Provider: Sprint
Issue: For the last week, I have been missing almost all of my incoming calls. It rings from in/from the calling phone, but nothing comes through on my phone. This started at the same time that my outbound texts started hour-glassing (green/blue rotating circle) for 30-90 seconds before sending - some texts "fail to send" altogether. Also, sometimes when surfing the internet (Chrome and apps) on the network (full bars of 4G LTE), websites don't load - they time out. This has always happened (very occasionally) but seems to happen a lot more often since the texting/calling issues have surfaced.
Attempts to fix: I have updated my PRL. I have ensured that my 'network mode' was still in LTE/CDMA. I have reset settings back to pre-set using ##72786#. I have taken my phone to a Sprint store and was told that they only thing they could recommend was to factory-reboot my phone but that it probably wouldn't fix the issues.
Other notes: I have not downloaded any new apps around the time the issues came about. Also, turning my "network mode" to CDMA seems to fix the incoming call problem (but then I don't have 4G)
I have a Samsung Galaxy s6 and as of this morning I cannot see when I have an incoming call or accept the call. I only am aware of the incoming call by the ringtone followed by the a missed call being added to the log. I have changed the setting to now let me answer the call by hitting the home key however, I cannot see who Is at the other end of the incoming call. If I make a outgoing call I no longer have the call screen appear.
View 5 Replies View RelatedFor incoming calls, it is said that the route is busy for the caller. For outgoing calls, the calls are dropped within seconds.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy galaxy s6 wont let me answer calls, it rings but doesnt even show that a calls incoming and gives me no option to answer
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recently picked up a Galaxy S6 and have an issue with answering incoming phone calls. The phone will ring, but often when I pull it out of my pocket it the screen stays black and doesn't have an option to answer. If I unlock the phone with my fingerprint it just takes me to the home screen like normal and there is no option to answer the phone anywhere.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy S5 is dropping calls since the upgrade. Is there any fix for this?
View 1 Replies View Related1 or 2 out of 10 incoming calls, I am UNABLE to answer, the swiping right action just doesn't seem to work, the phone stops ringing but the screen keeps displaying the answer/ reject screen, like the one in the middle below:
I have even chosen to use the HOME button to answer incoming calls (the picture on the left above) but it doesn't work either... (I can't answer by swiping or hitting the home key).

My girlfriend's grandma has a galaxy S5 through viaero and today it just stopped receiving calls. She still gets texts but when we call her phone it rings for about 15 seconds and goes to voicemail, it doesn't even show that anyone even tried to call on her phone
View 2 Replies View RelatedLately my S5 will not accept incoming calls. If someone calls me (particularly from a cell phone number) and I answer, it 'Accepts' the call but immediately ends the call. Meaning, it goes from the slide to unlock and then go the call screen but the call ends right away.
If I call from my house phone, a VoIP landline, my S5 will allow that call with no issues. I've had multiple people try calling from different cell phone carriers and iOS or android phones, and each time it's the same result.
I have tried using the Home Key to answer the call, and still get the same thing. I have tried rebooting my phone, clearing cache partition, factory resets, WiFi calling on/off, roaming or not roaming, 4G or 3G, power saving on/off, updating my profile and prl, and all motion gestures are turned off. I've verified I'm not blocking any calls from within the call settings.

My brand new, factory unlocked, S5 incoming calls are terminated after a few minutes interval...
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy dialer looks like that. I have the latest kitkat 4.4.4. I do not have access to my dialer at all during calls. I've factory reset twice and hard reset once already. Safe mode does not support much, it did for a very brief period. Then, became useless. It's Galaxy s5 G900V Factory Unlocked, paid full price.
Side Node: During my calls (using T-Mobile Sim) my signal drops from 4G LTE to no bars during my calls, I've done resets and if I'm lucky on my first call during reset it'd let me user the dialer pad. Afterwards, no luck forever more!
S5 call the person you are texting? I can sometimes text someone and not hit the call button. Before I know it I am calling that person.
View 3 Replies View RelatedS5 user..I call my best friend everyday every min every hour and our call gets dropped 4 or 5 times and when calling other friends my call doesn't get dropped at all.
