tonight I noticed that above the name of the person I'm speaking to there is a little square with HD in it. its on my husbands phone as well. I don't recall seeing it before. Does it mean that our voices are being transmitted in HD???

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhy is this happenning? I am facing lot of problems in my SE Neo V mobile. I updated my phone officially last week. The problems are serious and so irritating. The older version of android 2.3.4(Gigerbread) was gud when compared to this newer version of ICS. I am Facing these problems.
1. My phone dialer is too slow and takes more than 5 econds to open a dialer.
2. Unable to forward messages since it gets stuck in the contacts adding option itself when I use the forward option. And it must be Switched off and On to get back to home screen. Or else i cant message any 1 else.
3. Anything being copied to any folder using Computer show a message saying that The device is currently being stopped and cannot copy files.This is the most irritating part that i encounter always.
4. Any game like HD is not woking. It either crashes down or the application doesn't get opened at all.
can anyone please tell me How to fix these errors?? I am really Facing so many problems like these with the newer Version of Android ICS 4.0.3.And i read that using sony PC companion and also update service setup v could fix these bugs.. But doing this will expire the warranty of my phone??

I noticed that the issue is solved after uninstalling whatsapp. When I reinstalled whatsapp from the play store, it installed version 2.12.176, but I instantly got the update for 2.12.242 which was the version I had before. The issue came back after 30 minutes of use..
My dialer looks like that. I have the latest kitkat 4.4.4. I do not have access to my dialer at all during calls. I've factory reset twice and hard reset once already. Safe mode does not support much, it did for a very brief period. Then, became useless. It's Galaxy s5 G900V Factory Unlocked, paid full price.
Side Node: During my calls (using T-Mobile Sim) my signal drops from 4G LTE to no bars during my calls, I've done resets and if I'm lucky on my first call during reset it'd let me user the dialer pad. Afterwards, no luck forever more!

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6. Recently the keyboard keeps defaulting back to the Samsung keyboard, rather than the Google keyboard which is my preferred option. I've reset the default in Settings repeatedly.

Since Maps 9.2, Google maps integrated voice commands into navigation. So you can ask "are we there yet" or make a call. When I press the mic button during navigation, voice gallery pops up.

How do I turn on the key tones on the dialer during a call on the 920F? It is enabled in the sound settings but while on a call/speakerphone it key tones do not sound.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAll I did was modify my contacts settings to display contacts according to "custom settings" (instead of displaying contacts from ALL ACCOUNTS) and random contacts seemed to be ignored by the keypad lookup. When I would switch to the "Contacts" tab of the dialer and type out the name/ keyword, the same contact I was searching for WOULD be found. I even changed back to "All contacts" in the select contacts to display settings, but that didn't work.
An example of what I'm experiencing: when searching for a restaurant called "Second Grill", I would type in Grill using the keypad, and 6 other restaurants with Grill in their name popped up, but not Second Grill. When I typed in "Grill" in the contacts tab, "Second Grill" did show up as expected. Before changing the contacts settings at all, I know the lookup for Second Grill worked because I used it regularly.
I next went to Settings --> Applications --> Application manager and found 3 different "Phone" apps and cleared the cache of each one. Still didn't work. I did not try "Clear Data" for each one, as I was warned this would delete the application files (that didn't sound like what I wanted to do).
Attached image shows that when I make a call or receive it, my screen does not show dialer buttons, mute button, or the additional caller/conference button. I have looked at all different settings that I could think of but can't seem to fix this. I have tried this using headset as well as speaker phone.
I was able to bring up dialer button (only) if I go to home screen during the call and open up phone again. This time I can use the dialer buttons but still no mute or conf buttons.
its been a week on my s6 and i recent i changed my theme to note 5 when i switched back to default still its the note 5 one but in default ..... other themes no problem but when i switch to default it comes to note 5 theme.

My s6 keeps periodically prompting me to choose a default launcher. Phone worked fine yesterday and now today all of a sudden it can't remember what launcher I set as a preference. Periodically when I press the home button I am asked to choose between the normal touchwhiz launcher and the touchwhiz easy launcher. It is pretty annoying. I've searched and searched everyone says same thing but nothing works.
I've checked "always open with" chrome and does not work.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure why, but whenever I try to send an image from the default text messanger, the image automatically 'cancels' itself. The box will turn into a dark gray and say cancel. I current only a Samsung Galaxy S6.
When I first got the phone, everything was fine, but then all of a sudden the problem showed up.
When I use a different messanger app, such as Textra, which is what I use now, I can send the image fine.
The only way I can send an image via default messanger is to manually go into gallery and share the image. I would prefer not to do that.
I haven't seen this addressed anywhere and I may be the only one having this issue. I downloaded the Google now launcher for my S6 today. It seems to be installed properly and I see the shortcut for it. If I go into settings and try to set it for the default launcher it's nowhere to be found. I see TouchWiz, action launcher, and Nova but no Google Now.
