Galaxy S5 :: Why Can't Set Default Clock To Be Timely
Sep 7, 2015
I can't set the default alp clock on my at&t s5 to be Timely instead of the one it comes with. I've looked everywhere I could think of but no luck.. How or if it's even possible?
I have disabled Googles Timely alarm clock app in the accounts section, but it keeps syncing when my phone is turned off, is there any way around this, without uninstalling the app?
I have a Samsung Galaxy S6. Recently the keyboard keeps defaulting back to the Samsung keyboard, rather than the Google keyboard which is my preferred option. I've reset the default in Settings repeatedly.
I tried the timely app on my N5, still preferred the stock app so I uninstalled timely. However, every time the alarm clock goes of now, it has the timely theme! What? I've tried to remove all cached data before the uninstall, clear defaults, reseted phone (not factory reset)...
On Bionic the Music app is just "Music". The Google cloud music app is "Music". Having apps with exactly the same name is problematic. (Voice commands and such) One had to go and only one could be uninstalled. A simple app update could possibly be an easy fix. At a Verizon store today I was checking out the RAZR. The OS music app on the RAZR is "My Music". Lost Confidence Bionic Will Get Timely Updates
Will need to buy Xoom accessories when I get to Paris as I cannot order online to ensure timely delivery. I have tried searching for Paris France retail outlets for Xoom accessories but no real luck?
I have just bought a brand-new E5 and i love it. but i noticed something. when i put the standby mode to "Basic" the clock is nowhere to be found. how is this? is there a way (without changing the standby mode screen) to place the clock on the main screen?
I use either Sony clock or digital clock on lock screen. However, it will get changed to analog clock for no reason. Few times already. Changed it back to digital/Sony clock, but it goes back to analog clock after awhile (days). Any way to make the Sony/digital clock to stick?
Having issue with the alarm clock not staying on the alarm they choose. Today is the second time I chose an alarm and it didn't go off because the phone had a different alarm set.
My clock/weather widget is still showing up on my home screen, but I can no longer click on it to get to the clock app with the world clock and the alarms. I can't find the clock app on the phone at all anymore. How do I get it back? I go get a new clock app from the app store, but I really like the HTC sense clock.
I want to use the phone for a night time clock... looking for a good clock to use with Daydream display mode... would like large numbers with brightness setting...
I'm having issues with my lock screen clock being delayed when I click on the home button so I wondered to workaround this if it's possible to change the actual lock screen clock widget?
Firstly, on the clock on the lock screen, when i press the homebutton its like the time isn't up to date. It will change in a split second to the latest time. Why does this happen?
Also when using whatsapp, when the device is locked and i go back into a conversation when whatsapp opens its like the keyboard vanishes and i just see a black box where the keyboard should be. After a couple of seconds, the keyboard appears.
Ive made no changes and dont see any reason why i need to make any tweaks but this is rather annoying. I didnt experience this on using the HTC and quickly frankly im tempted to go back.
I am on a Galaxy S5, in the UK on EE. Running Lollipop 5.0 but with a new update that has fixed the no silent mode issue. I have just tried to set a reminder using Google Now with my voice, which has always worked before, except now the reminder sets my clock alarm instead of storing it in Google Now in the usual way! I've checked that the Clock app hasn't been set as default etc.... but to no avail.
How do I set the S5 Clock to alarm in Silent Mode? If I want ALL alerts off, so I can sleep, but still want to be woken up, what is the new way to set that? When I am now in silent mode, the clock is silent too.
I'm aiming for a very minimalist look for my lock screen. All I want visible on the lock screen (aside from the wallpaper) is the status bar at the top. I managed to hide everything else but I can't seem to get rid of the clock...
Plus, the time is already in the status bar so having a big clock on the lock screen is redundant.
How to get rid of the clock? Even i there was a way to recolor it or something maybe that would work in some cases. For example, if I could make it black then it wouldn't be visible against the current wallpaper...
My device is rooted and I have Xposed framework installed.
I'm not sure what i did, but probably accidentally touched the screen in the wrong place, but now my Home screen no longer shows the clock and date box, all i have is a blank wall paper area above the above the gray google mic search bar. How do i get it back? i can't seem to find an option anywhere
I have an S5 and haven't had any issues with it until now. I was in Puerto Rico recently and saw that my display clocks on my home screen and the task bar above were not syncing. The home screen clock displayed the correct time for the time zone, the task bar clock displayed the time in my home time zone. This never happened before and I travel a lot throughout the continental US.
Also when I wanted to set my alarm to wake me up, I had to set it according to my home time zone. That's a lot of math for someone to do while on vacation.
I have a quick question. Now we have finally paid themes available here in Germany, have noticed many themes have the lock screen clock centered..... but for the life of me I cant figure it out. When I install a new theme the clock always ends up on the left hand side... have looked everywhere, xposed modes, googled and of course searched here on xda.
Seems like when I wake up the phone, it takes a second for the clock to change to the correct time. Phone is locked, pressing the power button unlocks the display and the time stamp is from when the phone was locked, a second later the correct time changes.I've tried clearing cache on the following services, but the issue is still there. If i lock the phone and unlock it within a few minutes the time is synch fine and there is no delay. If i leave the phone locked for more than 5 minutes than the delay is noticeable.
Im not sure why but as of yesterday my clock has disappeared from the main screen My main is exactly like this minus the clock (top part including date)
Since a few weeks I have the very odd effect, that the S-II's built-in Clock app's timer does not ring, when going off. It silently displays "Time's up" on screen, but doesn't sound nor vibrate. I do have set a sound in Clock => Timer => Menu => Settings => Alarm Tone and the volume is turned to 100%. I also have set all sounds in Home screen => Menu => Settings => Sound => Volume up to 100% but ther is not sound!t drives me nuts and makes the device practically useless as an alert device
I want to disable the clock on the status bar, I'm on stock 5.1 , rooted. I don't want to flash a rom just so that I can disable it, is there any other way. Nova launcher does it, but it's just in the launcher, not system wide.
The clock and weather widget disappeared from the home screen. I tried downloading another one from the playstore, but it won't appear on the homescreen. The icon for it is there, but not the actual clock and weather. How can I get back the original, installed widget?
Is there a way to get the alarm clock to work when my phone is turned off. Or do I need to download a different alarm app to do this. I am using the alarm clock that came on the phone.
