Galaxy S5 :: Gallery Studio Default Save
Jan 29, 2015The samsung s5 photo app Gallery has a folder called studio. When I edit a photo that I just took by clicking on the viewer I can edit the picture but it automatically saves it to the studio folder. Can I change that default to save it in the photo stream next to the original or can I choose a folder to save it to. There doesn't seem to be any way to change that default.

Recently my SD card got full while I was taking pictures, and so the new saved pictures were moved automatically to the internal memory. Now, each time I take a photo or a video, it is automatically saved to a "DCIM" folder in the device storage (the photos taken with the Facebook app are saved in the same folder too).Since the folder changed, I have problems with camera apps like the default camera app, the facebook camera app or the paper camera app. They freeze each time I try to take a picture.I also have a problem with the gallery app, which cannot upload (display?) the photos and videos I took anymore. It is refreshing, but nothing shows up.I would like to restore the default gallery folder in the SD card, so that each time I take a photo or a video, it is saved in my SD card.

Dec 26, 2014My son's bought me a Google Nexus 5 for Christmas!!! Brilliant! OS - Version 4.4.4
They get things set up and recommended QuickPic - which looks good. However, it has a Wifi Transfer mode that I just don't seem to be able to get working.
I have selected photos, and tried to send but it sits there spinning with a message saying "Please open "Wifi Transfer" in nearby device."
The phone is connected to the internet using the home Wifi, and the desktop is connected using Ethernet.
What do I need to do? Do I need some sort of client on the desktop? The desktop is running Windows 7.

Apr 27, 2015Does the S6 Gallery app allow you to share/view your pics and videos on your DNLA TVs? I have a Sony TV with DNLA and I can currently share using the "screen" button at the top of the image/vid.
Not even sure if this is a Lollipop feature or a Samsung Gallery app thing. Assumed the latter as Quickpic doesn't allow this.

Galaxy S6 :: Restoring Stock Gallery App
Aug 17, 2015I removed/uninstalled the stock gallery app. Even though I have google photo installed, I got an error message when I try to access gallery by clicking the gallery icon in the samsung stock camera app. I also could not set the wallpaper for the lock screen, as when I click the gallery icon in the setting screen, it gave me similar error message saying "app not installed". How I could restore the stock gallery app, or change the default app to google photo (preferred option).

May 17, 2015I have strange error today on my S6, i was taking a picture and go to quick view , when its open i only have one picture in side, no folder with Camera (295 photos in side) no Facebook (56 photo) only that picture what i take that moment. Then i explore folders (DCIM/camera) and all photos and video are there but my gallery only see this last one.
I tray to rename folder name and when i shoot new picture he make new folder (Camera) and i can see picture that i take, now i copy from old folder to this new, and still i don't see other picture,

Sep 17, 2015I opened my gallery a few days ago to find that it was cluttered up with a lot of advertisements in the form of videos and pictures. There where about 10 - 20 of these and how they got there.
I don't download many apps at all, when I do I try be very careful to make sure they aren't harmful for my phone.
Before these ads had appeared though, I had installed two games. Knowing about how some apps will abuse permissions to do unwanted things and I assumed the culprit to be the most recent game I had downloaded, because I thought that I saw one of the same ads saved that had popped up in the game and the timing of this happening after a new app installed indicated it was this game.
I was annoyed that my phone had been exploited and deleted these pictures/videos, uninstalled the app and left a bad review explaining it saves ads on your phone.
Well I thought that was the end of it. Today I open my gallery and what do I see? Yep. More damn ads saved! Not so many this time though, there's about 4. So I realized that it wasn't the game at all, it is uninstalled and gone but the ads are still being saved. You could say I promptly made some "minor adjustments" to my review. :P
I decided to do a scan with AVG thinking that will find whats doing this but it didn't find any threats. So now I am seriously wondering how these ads are being downloaded onto my phone without my consent, using my data, storage space and cluttering my gallery up.

However, I can find them in a file manager app. My downloads, screenshots, and Camera folder on the device are all there, just not in the Gallery. When I take a photo now, it creates a new folder in the Gallery. However, the photo that I taken when navigated to it in file manager, is in the same folder as the missing photos? But I have many pictures, downloaded from the web, shared by friends or taken with the stock camera, which I have tagged with my contact names, added google map geolocation, categories. I've done all of that within the native Android gallery app.
If I copy such images to another folder, the copy does not show the infos I previously added. It is the same if I make a copy on my laptop. So, is there any app to export those metadata, which are not supposedly included in the image file?
